You should see out in ca. more traffic and yet they keep taking roadway away from us making it all use. Just come in and eliminate lanes all together making it for bicycles and pedestrians who pay no road use tax like vehicles do. They want us afoot or on busses ! Over 100 degrees where I live , and unsafe on busses. Commie fools. No common sense. Not what I voted for. No freedom.
How do you know that? What do you base it on? He strikes me as a left lane camper who doesn't care who or what he slows down, and can't be bothered to be courteous.

It may seem like that in this video but if you watch his previous videos, you will also notice most trucks pass him but in this video, he explains why trucks were slower this time around. Obviously, you haven't watched much of Kurt's video, as you wouldn't have thought he wasn't courteous if you did.

Today, my wife and I took the Tri Glide for a nice ride. We left home with the temp about 65 with a little wind and low humidity. We got back home about 4:30. What a nice ride. Central South Carolina USA

In the UK no trucks allowed in what you call the express lane. All trucks are governed to 56mph. Love the channel.

I drive for Nussbaum we have trucks with mirror eye instead of mirrors. I'm also not a big fan of the I365 going around Indy. Awesome channel. MOM he's not the only driver parked on the ramps.
If you do not have a no truck lane . If there are three lanes and three trucks, they will be side-by-side doing 61 mph. Still love your channel

I loaded 53 flat beds for 26 years with 60' wood I-beams from eugene oregon. the number one thing was not enough places to pull over when tired. I saw these disappear in 80s. my hat is off to all of you who keep americans from starvation. I deeply appreciate your job in this life. thank you.

I also park on the ON ramp not the off ramp, to me vehicles and trucks go slower, don't like to sleep in truckstops anymore
Never ever drive on LEFT lane if it says NO TRUCKS, and it is true, the have abused the No Truck Parking rules

Kurt, I am from Indiana and the express lane you are referring to is for construction purposes. I see Semi's parked on off and on ramps all the time. When your time is up for driving you need to stop.

From what I have read is that the express lane is temporary , while they widen and replace bridges on 465 , That said, It has been on the books for maybe 25 - 30 years that semi's can not drive in the left lane except to pass another vehicle and that applies to all interstates Indiana . Back when I was hauling a lot of grain to Indy , it was that way and that has been a long time ago .
As far as parking on the on/off ramps , you could be opening yourself up to legal action if you park there and a car slam's into your ass end , that is one of the main reasons they put up the NO Park sign , for safety of blind drivers I guess they can't see your marker lights - Keep on trucking ! btw , I live 15 miles south of G-Field .
I agree with you on the too many stupid laws! And so many people want to call people out on their law breaking, like they are saints or something. Guarantee they break laws too. Like speeding. That's a law everyone breaks at some point. Question do you do all your editing from your smart phone? Or do you do it from a computer?

It's been a very windy couple of years
The clip you showed in construction on the NE side of 465, you weren’t in the express lane. The express lane is about a mile north of where you were at the time and has concrete walls on both sides and isn’t wide enough for a semi. It skips about 4 exits and it’s a temporary lane during the 3+ year construction project.
New to the channel…I’ll weigh in on the traffic infractions…I wouldn’t drive in the express lane or left lane if prohibited primarily because if I get pulled over the delay would be longer than if I had used the non express lane, besides, the cops have other fish to fry. Also, it’s dangerous to be stopped on the highway, and there are road ragers out there who might cause an unsafe situation for myself, and other drivers by inflicting their own brand of stupidity justice on me for breaking the law…now for parking on the ramp, I would do that all day or night if I’m tired, and I’m confident I could talk my way out of a ticket. I’d put my safety triangles behind the truck, and maybe even light a flare for added safety. Just my 2 cents. Stay safe, calm and always drive defensively.
Just had a thought, not sure if there’s a liability issue if you get in an accident while in an illegal lane for trucks where the other driver is at fault, are you liable because if you weren’t in the illegal lane, the accident never would’ve happened? This also includes illegal parking on the ramp, if someone hits you, are you liable? A lot of these laws for truckers are safety issues, so if an accident happens it might not be worth the hassle to infract the traffic laws…an accident is an accident, you’re not going to get in an on purpose, and some people look to cash in on an accident if they see an opportunity. You might check with your insurance company, or a lawyer regarding this

I used to get stress for the way my pickup looked. It was beat up and many colors but it was a scrap truck. I hauled scrap metal with it. The money was great. I had a deal with one of the scrap yards here that when they had loads that were too small for their trucks, they called me. I made good money until the prices got too crazy.

Schmidt you might rethink driving in those toll no-truck landes. The fine for trucks driving in restricted no truck lanes are big. In Maryland, a truck driver was jailed. States are desparate for $ and creating no truck express lanes has become a major money maker. On the east and west coasts special toll lanes are popping up everywhere. There likely to begin to move west.

I am born and raised in Indiana the no left lane for trucks has been around for a long time,as for no parking on ramps that may be a new one Iv'e been retired for a while so not sure about that.

You can sleep on the side of the interstate anytime you want, buddy. Love listening to that Cat and the turbo spool up. Got to remember that first class may cough up a fur ball from time to time but it won't be a bad one. Stay safe dude.
The shoulder on interstate highways is for emergencies, it’s not a parking lot for tired travellers. imagining driving 60+ mph and having a tire blow out, which happens often to all vehicles or some other mechanical problem and you need to get pulled over and off the highway and out of the way.
but you can’t pull off the highway safely because there’s vehicles parked there while it’s inhabitants have a sleep. There’s rest areas and service stations along the way for that. Emergencies are the exception, like medical or mechanical emergencies.

You are when they are $3-5 a slice, at least I am. It is good though.
But with the paper log you can plan your stops where you actually want too. I understand what you are saying about passing other trucks. Your truck is heavy enough with your load at this particular load and the trucks you are passing are probably much lighter in weight. About parking on a on or off ramp. Just set up a couple of cones or triangles and you won't have a problem. Trust me it works. If you get checked well you had a problem that couldn't wait until you arrived at a travel center or rest area. Safe traveling on the two lanes or the big roads!!!

I don't own my own truck but, you best believe I'm gonna take the extra time to keep it clean and shiny... and I haul heavy construction equipment. I'm on dirt a lot.
When I was driving it was forbidden to park on off ramps in Iowa. i was run off a few times in Iowa.Even when I was on my mandatory down time.

I know you dont come thru Little Rock much if any at all but the left lane no trucks where it is marked was costing $465 3 years ago and Im sure it has increased by now. State law you cant park on ramps but the cops dont say very much at night because they know you cant get in a truck stop. Be safe
that new truck can be called first class un like your old second class. spend the money and paint it its not going to get any cheaper. lol keep up the great videos

Plenty of Interstate construction to put in express ez-pass lanes so they use your tax money to build a road you have to pay to drive on and then they can say we didn’t raise your taxes

I see you use I74 through Peoria instead of the bypass route. Is going through on I74 quicker or shorter than using the bypass route around the south side of the city?

My thought on left/express lanes, I'll stay away as long as traffic is good. If things get rowdy I'm in whichever lane makes most sense or safety. Think common sense would be express lanes for trucks not cars. Don't think I'm the only one but I'm always in a hurry to get out of bigger cities. Safe travels.
