- A split vote is when a majority contingent splits their numbers in half to outplay a contestant in the minority that can protect themselves from being voted out. It’s a very useful technique and hence has been used a lot. But there are some people that for whatever reason mess up these votes dooming themselves and potentially their entire alliances…

At least Tyson didn't win the award for worst move at the Heroes vs Villains Final Tribal...At least there's that.
I mean, he should, Erik's move was basically an execution of Jenna Morasca's plan to save Heidi in Amazon.
I think the JT move has more upside over Tyson's move so I can see why Tyson justifiably should have won the award for dumbest HvV play
I definetly agree. So many players have said that if Jt's move had worked he would be two time winner
It's always a shame to see Jenny go. Other people's mistakes & Production's insistence on countless twists cut down someone who I think had a deep run in them.
Jenny most definitely is the most screwed modern Survivor player (and that's saying something) considering just how many factors happened that weren't her fault
I think Chanelle saving her vote and eliminating Lydia 3-2 turns into the biggest "what if" in modern Survivor history
yea that and tyson's vote flip are probably the two biggest examples of a failed vote split COMPLETELY changing the trajectory of the game
Crazy thing is...if Tyson doesnt make one of the worst moves in the history of the show...theres a good chance he wins Heroes vs Villains. Think about it, odds are with Tyson and Rob still around, the Villains win at least 1 more challenge, which ensures they reach the merge with the majority, and from there, Tyson is in the majority, and towards the endgame he'd no doubt have the loyalty of Coach and maybe even Jerri to go after Rob later, and even if he never turns on Rob, he has the social capital to make the finals with Rob and could potentially beat him in the finals.
Tldr; Tyson was dominating HvsV in similar fashion to his BvW return, so getting him out when he did was literally a game changing move by Russell.
Will’s a lousy player in general, but he definitely made the right move at that tribal
He knew that he’d be seen as a physical liability no matter what, so keeping Nina in made sure there would be at least 1 more round before the Jenn-Joe-Hali alliance targeted him. Whereas if Nina went home, the Jenn-Joe-Hali alliance might vote him off instead of Vince as Vince has more potential to help win challenges.
As for the idea of voting for Jenn, it seemed like a good idea at first, but when he found out Vince wanted him out at the following tribal, I don’t blame him for wanting to side with Jenn’s alliance over Vince’s. It would be so easy for Vince and Nina to convince either Joe or Hali to vote with them to take out Will, especially since in this timeline, Will just betrayed them by voting off Jenn
Will was looking out for himself, and there’s a very realistic chance he wins the season if he didn’t act like such an ass in the post-merge. By all accounts, the move he chose worked out in his favor
Always love your content. Was just hoping for some new BB or Survivor content and Bandit answers 👏
Ayeee! Thanks for checking out the content :) If you want more BB or Survivor you can check out More Bandit Survivor also
"I think I've cooked this" - Cara Atchinson. So so iconic
I think Will was justified considering it gave him a free agent narrative going into the swap/merge and he wasn't really at risk of going home when Nina was on the team. Shout out to Vince though for seeing how Nina had a lot of potential and was really undercut by the rest of the tribe.
That's a very good point - he still kept Nina as a vote over him and it allowed him to immediately flip at the merge
9:07 - “disobeyed the rules” the BR rules are lame, and only serve to feed Rob’s ego. He would be left out and forgotten if it weren’t for Probst constantly sucking up to him
To be fair it was more so Sandra I feel that pushed the narrative of "you're cursed if you look for it" but Rob definitely was showing some early Redemption Island gameplay by how hard he tried to reinforce that rule
Thank you for posting the video. Splits votes are confusing.
The Chanelle gamble was totally unnecessary. She was very dumb. If she played it right the outcome of the season would potentially be different. They could have been a solid group against the taku 4.
I agree - the reason only Mike makes it as the last Vati from the final 7 and on is because the group is so broken. If Chanelle doesn't risk her vote the 4 are far more united.
Do Australian survivor top ten players of all time
Another mention, Brian (aka Grub) in Australian Survivor Champions vs contenders. The plan was splitting the votes between Shane and Sharn, but Brian screws it all up by voting wrong, giving Sharn just the opening she needs to break up that majority by playing her idol.
If I may add, it could’ve been avoided if they voted out Sharn or Shane the round before it, rather than fixating on Steve, who was in a “dead man walking” status, a twist that made him unable to vote.
Yeah, I think Brian, even in the live reunion show, overestimated Steve's challenge ability over Sharn who eventually ties the record for most challenge wins at that point. Grubby was close to making the list but I felt Cara's was easier to explain to people that haven't watched Australian Survivor. For Brian I had to go through basically all 6 players and their positions.
Hindsight is 20/20 on if ousting Sharn or Steve was the right call, both were pretty big threats and DMW wore off after the next challenge
I’m pretty sure Brian said post season that he wanted to keep Shane in the game as an easy win for FTC so by voting for Sharn either Sharn goes home or Sharn idols out Fenella and he still has the majority of himself Monika and Shonee
@@XanderMatthews-nv9zf DMW would last 2 rounds, so it wore off at final 6. Why not vote Sharn at final 7, and then fixate on Steve, with one insurance vote on Shane?
Australian survivor is my favorite version right now. Can't wait for the next season! Brains vs brawn was a really messy season. The cast was really dumb overall. It was good to see the best players back doing a great job against more capable players in Heroes vs villains. George is my favorite player. George, Cirie and Russell H. are the best non winner players of all time.
Ayeee! That's great to hear :) Yeah Brains vs Brawn was harmed by some contestants having no clue about Survivor and what the show entailed. Still it had some amazing casting picks: Simon, George, Hayley, Danni, Emmet, Joey, Shannon and even Daini was great in spite of him supposedly wanting to quit
Is there any way we can get a Susanna video survivor uk panama please.
It's hard to get good footage of Survivor UK but I'm definitely interested in covering it (even the older seasons) now that Survivor UK 2023 is almost here
Yknowin glad bandit exists
The only guy talking other seasons of survivor besides US
Ayeee 🫶 I'm glad you like the international seasons. Thanks for checking out the content!
The SECOND Chanelle thought she lost her vote should have led to Daniel going with Hai and Lydia, their convoluted split vote plan had almost no chance of working
IMO they should have ousted Mike to get the idol gone, leave Hai and Lydia knowing nothings up, and have Jenny as a pocket vote
Yeah I think if they get Mike out "because he has the idol" then that 4 contingent can stay strong and make it to the merge. I think Daniel and Chanelle were really banking on the split vote lie coming into fruition
2:45 - absolutely not. This showed that he’s way too soft for the game. If he can’t accept criticism, he has the mentality of a brat. He showed it again after the auction, when he blew up at Shirin over a mere game assumption (a legitimate assumption, if I may add).
@nathandaniels20 when exactly? Sounds like just a pitiful excuse to his behavior, which he, Rodney, and Dan, ran CONSTANTLY. In fact, if it was true, I’m pretty sure they’d vote her out over Max or Hali
