What a great miracle, the great State of Israel!
Thanks to the IAF, the F-15 has a unique and unblemished record in air combat; over 100 victories and 0 losses. (Some have been lost to ground fire or malfunctions, but never air-to-air.) It's fitting that the F-15 should symbolise Jewish victory.

There were many Jewish pilots who served in the German Airforce during WW1. Some of them were well decorated with medals, including the Iron Cross.
And still, These same decorated pilots were dragged out of their homes by the gestapo, Watching them killing their wives and babies, Just to be killed in a concentration camp after working day and night to construct it. With all do respect, The german people should dig deep into their soul to answer how their parents took part in that.

appropriate that I watched this video , the day my eldest returned from a school trip ( from Israel) to Poland which included Auschwitz
A David Ben Gurion descendant.
THIS ONE was great and symbolic gesture, however it was tarnished few days ago when Israeli jets participated in fly-over Knin, Croatia where Croatia was celebrating anniversary of action "Oluja" ( Storm) , event where thousands of ethnic Serbs ( civilians) where expelled and killed in 1995 , ending the civil war in this country. Croatia was a Nazi puppet state during WW2 that killed over a million of Serbs, Jews and Roma in a most primitive and sadistic ways using knives and axes (unlike Germans that killed people in "industrialized" ways). The problem is that modern Croatia does not separate itself much from it's WW2 Nazi past and iconography and ideology is pretty similar and disturbing. I feel sorry for Israeli pilots that were ordered to do this shameful act, no other country ( even Germans- Croatia's big brother in WW1 and WW2) ever did anything like that - they had some civil decency not to insult civilians slaughtered and expelled by action "Oluja" in 1995.
Protesting Serbia's note, Israel's Foreign Ministry responded that this has to do with planned future sale of Israel's old F-16's to Croatia.
Very poor and weak excuse - Israeli planes are still in Israel's possession and were piloted by Israeli pilots. I still cannot recover from disbelief that Israel would honor Croatia's massacre of civilians by ordering a Star of David planes to participate in Croatia's parade
