Thank you for this. I made the rusks. A few pointers: 1- you can use any cake recipe. So if you have some left over cake from another bake or you've bought some from the store, you can use that. 2- the 180c is too high, your rusks will brown and burn on the outside and remain slightly spongy on the inside. Reduce the temperature to 150c for fan assisted ovens and just bake for a longer period of time.

@@rabiatariq8875 am not urdu speaker but if am not wrong u r asking about timing... My oven is hot i roast it quickly maybe 7 minutes each side then i take the tray out and put it aside or under fan to cool down totally so it becomes crispy .. i cut the rusk when its totally cold too

I tried the recipe exactly step to step...the cake was ready in 25mins if it's preheated. I feel eggs quantity was too much because cake was smelling of eggs after it was baked. For rebaking the cake rusk pieces... They got done at the mentioned setting earlier than 15 mins...I would say lower temperature should be used for 15 mins each side else it will get burned!...Taste was good in the end...some technicalities have to be adjusted.

I agree. 180 is more. I also had yye same problem. It browned from the outside, but was soft on the insides.
How long can you store it?
If it's in airtight box?

Add more essence if u feel its smelling like eggs
Mix lemon or orange zest with suger very well before you add the suger to batter that will make a huge difference
