  • A massive #winter #storm in #California caused #blizzard conditions in the mountains with heavy #snow high #wind and #floods #losangeles metro. In #bigbear #fawnskin #lakearrowhead and the mountains of #SoCal the #weather was extreme with near white out conditions at time making #Travel nearly impossible. The National Weather Service in #sandiego issued the first ever blizzard warnings in their area while #LA NWS office issued blizzard warnings for the first time since 1989. Video includes drone video, rolling shots and ground video of the areas from Lake Arrowhead to Big Bear City.
Thanks to @JonathanPetramala for all the help over the past few days. Please check out his channel for the stories inside the storm.
We will be covering the blizzard in NoCal this week so please subscribe for more new content.

The University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Service says that a ballpark estimate of roof snow load can be made with the following formula: Calculated Roof Loading (lb/ft2) = Depth (ft) x Density (lb/ft2 /ft depth). The approximate density (lb/ft2 /ft depth) is: 5-20 for light snow.

How much snow load can my roof handle?
Most roofs can withstand 20 pounds per square foot of snow. 2. Calculate the weight of the snow on your roof. Ten inches of fresh snow equates to about five pounds per square foot, which means your roof likely can support four feet of fresh snow.

My daughter and son-in-law live in Crestline and it was an absolute disaster. No plows when they should have been nonstop plowing the roads from the onset. My theory is that it hit big time on Saturday and some geniuses in San Bernardino County didn't want to pay a bunch of plows overtime and figured they just catch up on Monday. Well it didn't stop and then it was too late to get the plows through. This not only trapped people in their homes, but didn't allow for emergency vehicles to get in. There were homes destroyed by fires and explosions from gas leaks. People with no power for days. Nobody could get out for over a week. My daughter and her husband luckily are young enough that they were able to shovel 7 feet of snow off their roof so they didn't have it cave in like others. They also were able to hike with backpacks to the grocery store and replenish their food supplies the day before the roof collapsed at the store and there no longer was a place to get food. It took Newsom a week to finally declare it a state disaster area yet no Red Cross, no FEMA, no National Guard came for even a couple days after that. It was so mishandled.

Where every winter we got a ton of it... I feel bad for you all up there.. now if there was only a way you can compile all of that and dump it into Lake Mead. 😳

They're safer staying where they are until the roads get better at traveling on. ! Nice .. excellent footage, this is one video people from Big Bear should have. Look at those big snow tires working. I would placed a tarp on top of my car if I was there. But then again I can’t believe this is Southern California 😅

Hope things get better for thoes that live there. Great drone footage and liked it with no music. Video show just what I suspected that there are those that believe chains are for everyone else. Also the crowd that believe that their 4x4 can go anywhere. I have always had a set of chains for the front and rear and its faster to put chains on that dig out of a snow bank. If it gets spooky put them on. Praying they get the supplies everyone need up there.

I’ve driven to one of the toughest remote places in Canada including hopping in a ferry from mainland Canada and delivering generators to islands two hours away from mainland Canada during the blizzards, and I’m from San Diego California.

Everyone needs to protest the “Drought Lie.” It is the Globalist’s way to shut down farmers, our food supply, create chaos & cause fear. The planet is never naturally short of water... Droughts are created & weather disasters are created through advanced technologies! Texas has a “Weather Modification” department (2018-19) confirmed! The government can make it RAIN! Drought is another lie from the World deceivers!!

I live in big bear city California and we have no gasoline on this mountain right now and they finally had some stater brother trucks coming up stater brothers and VONS almost looked like Covid hit them, tourist, leaving this past Sunday, took all of our gasoline with them. They shut down all three rows of it recently open Highway 18 through Lucerne valley for locals to come back up and for emergency vehicles, driving around town coming to work it’s unbelievable how many cars are completely covered to the top of their cars and in their yard they can’t even get people to help dig them out and so many are elderly. I just pray that they’re safe and warm.
