    I have one that I use regularly for low melt soldering. I recently changed out the iron for a Weller 45 wt. easy enough, the original iron has spade connectors inside. Fitted spades to my Weller job done. I no longer have to keep two irons on the go, just adjusting the temp.
    It also means that I have a better tip availability.

    you have no idea how to use a soldering station.

    they work good till they stop sudenly after some vibration funny noises. I bought one in september, after two guitar soldering jobs died... second one, died 3 days ago after 2 hours of use... so they will give me a 3rd one... It is not bad for the price but it is not reliable at all, it will die on you. I always use it between 3 and 4 .
    The tips are horrendous even when yoou tin them and you are extra careful with em, they dont last more than 3 jobs and they are not standard. If you use it regulary get yourself a better or just more reliable solder.

    My mate just got this, l tried it. Not bad for £10 but l prefer my Weller 9200 soldering gun.

      Why?

    • @gocekostovski4934
      @gocekostovski4934 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@hersenpannetje because the top is not copper - it's iron or some crappy material they burnes out very quickly and it doesn't stick anything on.Btw, You can't change it or find replacement because you need to screw it on. There is no side screw like a standard solder.

      @@gocekostovski4934 Tips can be bought. He didnt tin the tip every time he used it. It is just like any other soldering station, adjust the temp and tin the tip. The solder he was using came with the set and is not flux cored. It is also lead free solder. You have no idea about soldering either. Or you would have given different comment.

      @@gocekostovski4934 I have a few a lot better, even the Y245, which heats up to 350c in just under 6 seconds. So I know a bit about soldering stations. I have about 28 all together. The only problem with the Parkside ones are they are 240v / 230v and act the same way a mains non adjustable soldering iron woirks and takes agfes to heat up to temp. But I managed to tin the tip very good before using. You just put hte same comment on the Parkside reviews.
