Every time my friends from all over the world say "wow, you're from Vietnam" in a high tone voice with a warm smile, I feel happiness rises in my veins. Whatever others say, whatever their purposes are, I just don't care. My country is my country. Not because of bad comments that a person hates his/her country, that's never right. I love Vietnam, as what you are.

@36blakester we saved over 10 mil. vietnamese lives. impressed. but we still lost over 200,000 of our own troops. the 'draft lottery' was terrible. young men who graduated from highschool/ in college were forced to go. my history teacher was 18 at the time & was about to be drafted. luckily the war ended 2 months before his draft sentence. he said his friends would break their own legs to avoid the atrocities of war. and MY country? i am not vietnamese. don't assume shit.
@36blakester They beat the US because they didn't give up first. In the end of world war 2 the nazis killed way more soviet troops than the amount of nazi troops killed but they were still beaten due to being overwhelmed.

Vietnam war result like that. the American finished the fight tactics very well but they lost the strategic targets. They killed more than we did but they absolutely destroyed all supply network and locations of guerilla and north vietnam army from the north to the south.
