@@Carrie I think it’s just because you said it so casually when it’s such a huge thing! Especially when he probably could have turned round and found your face on the front of it!
@@Carrie totally hear you there, but maybe I'm reading this wrong but I think Emily M meant that some people might have said, "I'm starring* in it" or pointed to the name and said, "that's me" but you just treated it like a job as any other and stated "I'm in it" --implying that you could be anyone involved, which is both accurate and (if I'm right with my interpretation of @Emily M's initial words) I would also agree, very humble. I hope your show opens soon and safely!
i just wanted to say thank you carrie for making me really happy. it was my birthday last week and my parents got me a cameo from you and you’re message was really sweet and your videos never fail to make me happy. to anyone reading this i hope you’re okay and having a good day. ❤️❤️❤️
Cinderella is the first production that I've known about before it opens, so I can be excited for it in advance! I'm sad that I won't make it over from the US to see you in it, but I guarantee I'll be listening to it nonstop. By the way, I feel your pain with those fogged up glasses!
Was hoping for a sneak peak of the ball gown. Crazy times that London is that deserted. Look forward to a time when live theatre is a thing again. So much to see and catch up on.
Carrie fighting with her glasses to stay on (and just trying and maintain visibility) hit home to me. As a fellow glasses wearer, I can really feel that struggle when it comes to wearing glasses plus a mask. At least I am fortunate enough that I am not completely blind with out glasses, and can just not wear the glasses (but still the mask!) but I realize others are not as fortunate!
As a fellow glasses wearer, I noticed this too! Unfortunately I need my glasses to be able to see almost all the time 🥸 A tip I have been sharing though is that you can get little rubber things that fit over the arms of your glasses and go behind your ears to keep them in place. It really helps with them sliding down your nose when wearing a mask, and, if you can position them right, can help with fogging too!
If you have one of the blue medical style ones, fold the mask in half before you use it, and craft a triangle for your nose. I can happily wear a mask for 12 to 16 hours at work plus travelling with my glasses on like that.
Carrie, I stumbled across your channel about two years ago and love watching your vlogs. I love that even though you were in lockdown for most of the year, you still got yourself dressed and made up. I would love to see a makeup tutorial - your eyes and lips are so gorgeously painted, I am in awe of your talent. I hoped to go to London to watch you in 'CindERella' as it sounds amazing. I can't wait to see the ball-gown. That was so nice of the strangers to ask you how you've been travelling during lockdown. I know you're also an author; however, what else have you been doing? Keep inspiring us all with your talent. Kind Regards, Lisa :-)
The constant glasses pushing back up every few seconds is something i relate to on a spiritual level. Whoever designed face masks really hates us glasses wearers.
If you have your glasses under the mask loops behind your ears they dont fall down. Gotta put glasses on first, then mask over behind your ears, then tuck the mask under your glasses on your cheeks/nose 😂
You don’t understand how excited I am for this role! I hope everyone is doing okay! Remember they’re is always light at the end of the tunnel💕 you are all so loved and valid ❤️ stay safe and remember to take care of yourself
Thank you for taking us on your day, and see your picture in front of the theatre As an American, it was great to see London! One day I hope to see it in person.
Little tip: if you tuck the arms of your glasses under the mask loops over your ears it should stop them falling down ❤️ Love, another glasses wearer x
several reads of this and a fair few tries later, I am ASTONISHED! I can now do my food shopping without my glasses wanting to join the floor every time I look down! THANK YOU!
Wow! Picadilly Circus quiet enough to hear the clock ticking.....use to work at the end of Shaftesbury Avenue when the Gap store was H Samuels and that place was never that quiet. Even at 7am in the run up to Christmas.
I wish it was this quiet in Brighton. London actually looks like it's in a lockdown whilst in Brighton there's people everywhere all the time (I have to work hence why I see them, otherwise I would be home too). So excited to see Cinderella when everything opens up again!!
So strange seeing London so quiet ...sad and strange ...but exciting to see you doing theatre stuff and getting me excited for the west end to light up again 😭 xx Can't wait ot see the show and see these sets and the ball gown oh my gosh eeepppp x

Whe you pointed the camera up at the sign I got THAT feeling. Like the creative buzz, like the I’ve made-something-really-cool-that-I’m-really-proud-of buzz. But like I got it on your behalf. I’m so gonna travel to London when it opens. Well done Carrie, your super talented
A friend and I were planning a trip to London, originally to see Hamilton and Wicked, but since then it has evolved into plans of seeing basically every show in the West End including Cinderella and Frozen! And although we do not have a date set (who knows when we‘ll be allowed to leave the country or rather get back into Germany again), I am so excited for this.
I will never not get emotional when I see a theatre at the moment. ❤ My birthday is tomorrow and I was just given a skirt to wear but I don't have a top to go with it and I was sitting in my room panicking about it when I get a notification for this video and it made me feel so wonderful. 🖤🍄🎭
I was getting so excited imagining the theatre you were describing, and I'm not even in the UK. Very excited for you! What a sweet guy, being so genuinely caring :)
You matching the theatre reminded me of when I went to see the curious incident of the dog in the night time a few years back, wore a black jumper with white grids and when we got to the theatre the backdrop they had was black with white grids! I had no clue but was very happy to be doing a doubles costume with the theatre haha 💜
wish I could go and see it in the future, but I can't as I live in norway and won't be traveling to the UK any time soon, so I'll enjoy you keeping us updated here and on instagram :D
I always give it a go and leave my glasses on when I'm going into a shop, see if I can get away with it...then inevitably end up taking them off because I am more blind with them on looking though fog than I am without them lol
I find warming them up is the only thing that works. I think it is the temperature difference between your breath and the glasses that causes fogging (like when a cold drink "sweats"). I keep my glasses under my shirt and between my breasts to warm them up before wearing them. A hairdryer world work too. In Germany, the heated reptile exhibit rooms in zoos have hand dryers to de-fog your glasses after being out in the cold.
The gates at the train and tube stations always scare me so much. I feel like I am going to get trapped in it. Especially the gates with 2 ‘layers’ 😂 I literally run so fast through them
Awh encounters with people like that very kind stranger is precisely the thing I miss about being locked down. Looking forward to the day we can all take part in the world again 🙌
When you said ‘I will never get used to seeing that’ I thought you were talking about the lamppost in the middle of the pathway and I was like yeah, that’s an odd place for a lamppost
CARRIE, as a fellow glasses wearer I feel your pain and noticed you constantly pushing your glasses up when wearing a mask! A hack I have found is that you can get little rubber things that fit over the arms of your glasses and hook behind your ears to keep them in place. It really helps with them sliding down your nose when wearing a mask, and, if you can position them right, can help with fogging too!
I SO want to see Cinderella for my birthday next December! Long wait, but hopefully we'll actually be able to go by then... You make a lovely theatre, Carrie 😜💖
I can tell how long covid has been around by looking at the length of Carrie’s hair. It was so short when she and Oliver did the good morning and evening series!
I'm so excited for cinderella! I just have to ring the theatre when they open to find out about accessible tickets because this will be my first time booking a theatre ticket since I've needed a wheelchair so my usual high up cheap seats aren't an option any more 😭 I can't get the songs out of my head so I'll do whatever I have to so I can see it though!
GLASSES TIP! Fold a tissue into a thin rectangle and put it under the bridge part of your mask, where it sits over your nose. It will catch the condensation from your breath as it comes up, and stop your glasses from fogging! It's the only thing I found that stops mine from fogging up like a mf. Works best under a wired mask because it will be held in place, but still useful in others too.
I'm listening to the audio book of the flash share which Carrie narrates, it is amazing- definitely recommended people check it out. A video today is a wonderful added bonus!

Having a close seal on the nose of the mask really helps. It prevents your warm breath from coming out the top and fogging your lenses
