Does having no anchor point on the rear of the Honeycomb units lead to movement / rocking of the yoke in use? I would personally be much more interested if the design incorporated a retractable bracket so that the units could also be fully positioned under the desk and out of the way when not in use. Of course the cost would go up but would provide quite a bit of added benefit overall. Thanks for the demonstration.
Kevin, there is a very tiny amount of flex, but certainly not enough to affect the yoke's accuracy or feel in any way. We appreciate your input on the idea of rotating everything toward the rear of the desk (it would have to fold down and back most likely) and will look into the viability of that as a possible option.
How strong are the top mounted screws on the honycomb yoke and trottle? I dobt they were designed ever designed to hold the weight let alone the constant push and pull of the yoke. I see them braking off and damaging the yoke/throttle after a period.
This is a valid question Miro. However, we've observed no tendency for the screws or the housings to fail after operating other yokes such as the Logitech on this bracket for well over a year. The Alpha and Bravo seem to be just as sturdy.
@@CanadianTexaninLiguria Yes, they are. However the LowRider comes with 4x 30mm screws which... funny enough, are just a tad bit too long to hold it as rock steady as the yoke is. I'll be looking for replacement screws tomorrow.

Does the product come with all the mounting hardware needed to connect the under-desk mount to the desk? Also, I recommend selling a third SKU that includes only the Bravo as the Alpha is normally OK on top of the desk.
Hi I have basically the same question as Cory. What is the distance between the floor and the underside of your desk? The standard desk top height is 28 1/4”. If the desktop is 1 1/4” thick, most are thicker, the under desk height will be 27”. Chair seats are generally 16”high, and the height of the Honeycomb controls is 5”, plus the trim wheel. If an average person sits on the seat the distance between their knees and the bottom of the desk is 4”. In addition the operating the peddles increases the clearance required. Thanks Noel
Hi Noel, you will probably not fly the sim with your chair up and under your desk, as that would put the yoke right into your stomach. The front edge of the chair will more likely be a little bit outside of the yoke, with the rudder pedals coming forward to match. When I lower my regular office desk chair I have nearly 10" of clearance to the bottom of my standard office desk. True, it can be tight under there depending on how "healthy" you are (I am 5'6" and 155lbs, so probably on the smaller side), but these are the tradeoffs between opening up your desk and placing the controls in a more typical position, vs flying with the yoke sitting on top of (and consuming) your desk. We certainly recognize that this may not work for everyone, but thus far it has been very well received by our customers. Thanks for considering it! Dave Hill
@@allsportsystems Hi. Many thanks for the comprehensive reply. I have a narrow study, approximately 64" wide. With the back of my seat against the wall there's 7" from my stomach to the yoke, which is currently mounted on top of the desk, and my knees extend about 1" under the desk. If the yoke and assembly were mounted, under the desk, they can't be positioned further back as the controls would then, to some extent, be hidden under the desk. On option would be to lift the desk 4 ", this would allow clearance between my knees and the bottom of the trim wheel. However raising the desk that much would make it too high for comfortably use of the keyboard etc . It would also also mean raising a shelve and rearrange wiring, which will be a major operation. I can see that where it's possible to move the seat back a couple of inches there's no problem, but there is if it requires moving a wall 4". I can see I'll have to give this some more thought. Sorry I have, and looking again I see that you have a space between the Alpha and Bravo for the centre screw. I'm thinking that I might be able to get my right knee to the left of the trim wheel. It may be that it will have to go under the Yoke, but that doesn't extend down so far. Therefore the desk won't have to be raised, or if it is by only a couple of inches. Could you tell me the dimensions of your plate please? Cheers Noel

When using the Honeycomb Alpha yoke, do you use the same screws removed from the yoke to attach to the plate or does it come with the screws that will attach to plate?
