Thank you so much, this method worked for my Sony Bravia KDL-40EX640. The only difference was my right side ribbon had the issue. So the scotch tape had to be placed on the opposite side and aligned exactly with the numbers. It’s been over a month now and the tv works like new.
where exactly the tape is to be put? In the above video, they have just put it at one end of bad ribbon, but u have mentioned it is to be aligned with some numbers marked there. Plus let me know if ur tv is still working fine or there is some reduction in picture quality/pixels?
@@rupatarafdar6201 I can’t remember those numbers because it’s so long now but if you check on the board of itself you should see some very small numbers. However, it all depends on which side of your tv has the problem, mine was the opposite side.
On my 32EX403 this worked - I covered the first 13 contacts on the ribbon cable with thin tape. There are 13 codes on the board near the top right connector.
