Well they far exceeded my expectations this year I figured they’d be competitive but to dominate the division like that was a bit of a surprise Really high hopes for next year👍
They exceeded all expectations with a new manager, tons of injuries, and mostly relying on rookies. I see it as a bright spot, but its definitely disappointing too. I think fans so badly wanted this team to show they could hang with the big dogs and to fail so epicly (that 9th inning 3 run shot, talk about heartbreak) is just a reason why its been hard to get invested in this team. Hopefully yelich can stay healthy because man we needed him. Woodruff as well.
Exactly! however I think the ownership is content with it. Honestly with how the MLB added the extra Wild Card teams it devalued a great season. The issues with the brewers from 2018-2024 is the Brewers are going to the playoffs each season as an incomplete team. Either they have relayed on SP or Offense, not both.
It’s been their offense. They’ve scored more than 4 runs in a single playoff game only once dating back to the NLCS loss against the Dodgers. And that one time was this years game 2.
Completely disagree on the adding wild card teams devalues the regular season. There’s so many more teams in the mix for those 5-6 spots so it adds value there. Instead of 14-18 teams drawing dead come September there’s maybe 10-12 drawing dead. It makes the regular season way more intriguing for many more teams.
I think the Brewers need to be concerned about a significant drop in attendance next year. The fans are being trained to think that the regular season doesn't matter. Why become emotionally invested in the regular season if the playoff system doesn't reward winning the division? Winning the division should guarantee you a ticket to the NLCS, but it doesn't. It was merely a ticket to a three-game series that's still two series removed from the NLCS.
Bad take by kevin. peralta was not a top of the rotation pitcher this year. Montas is exactly the type of guy you are wanting the brewers to go out and get and he didnt have a good start. Myers by far had the best start out of the 3 giving up a leadoff double and stranding that runner when the veteran pitchers that you claim the brewers need didnt do that in the first 2 games. It was the veteran players that let this team down not the young players.
I assume the “excuse” you are alluding to is how the post season bracket is now vs years ago……well, in that case the Mets wouldn’t have even contended without an expanded bracket…..so just take your wins and be happy.
Why are you coming to this video and worrying about what they are saying? I didn’t come to Mets videos after the 2016 wild card game when Gillespie hit that shot and we knocked the sloppy Mets out of the playoffs 😂

Williams doesn't give up a 9th inning, game winning 3 run shot we are all having a very different conversation right now
Sign Trevor Bauer for a redemption tour.
trade devin williams. He can't come through in play off games.
Stop finding excuses, if you won the series YOU WOULD NOT BE Complaining. LFG METS 😂
Go home larry ya friggin’ weirdo!!
We have loser ownership that’s why, it won’t ever change with this owner!
