@Ozlanthos Well that's your opinion, many people are fine with rough vocals, I personally think it lends a certain roughness to the song. And I'm not just talking about screaming, thrash style vocals too.
A lot of this song sounds like some later songs were written similarly to some parts of this one (i have yet to remember which), and the first scream was actually used in the first song of Terminal Redux, Charging The Void. Just some observations I thought were interesting.
I personally prefer the Black Future version. Which is good because what's the point of rerecording something if you don't make it better? That said, both versions are incredible and contain some of the best songwriting I've ever heard from a thrash band.
@Ozlanthos "a growing trend of bands that employ this style of singing." -Dude, its not like 'screaming/growling" vocals are anything new. Have fun listening to the same 5 bands for the rest of your life if you refuse to adapt to it. His vocals are very unique IMO. He takes the scream that Slayer used to do back in the day to new levels. Actually, he screams like a girl. Whenever I do that I get beaten up on the playground but somehow this dude makes it cool. Awesome band.
I saw them at The Commonground a couple weeks ago. If your drunk ( as you should be at a Thrash show) you dont give a fuck about how they sing. They tore shit up.
check out their album Outer Isolation and you'll see. Toxic Holocaust is just one dude, and he's decent. These guys have mastered technical thrash beyond mortal comprehension. Give their song Venus Project a listen and get back to me.
No its not, of course it isnt heavier than Vektor, but its a awesome group too, and btw they're pretty similar to each other, if you like vektor then you should like Toxic Holocaust
No Bad stuff...a bit too worked out...but good to see guys are doing their homework. The scream, fucken not bad at all! King Diamond is unique though!...overall a pretty cool band, could try different distortion arrangement and no so fucken synthesized. #1 Slayer for a long time still
@hellfencer Actually musicians make most of their money from playing live gigs. That's why The Metal Band CROW gave away a lot of free EPs at their gigs. Downloading music is also a way to spread the band faster to other places And thats also why the irony lies within Metallica getting pissed at napster because they got big mostly because of illegal blank tapes and bootlegs in their early days. Buying merch is another way to support the band but I don't see anything wrong with downloading music.
@slayyer000 i personally am not a poser and i still have an interest in thrash style, i will agree a few of those bands are posers and make shit music but there are plenty of decent bands in the new thrash scene. also gama bomb are as you would describe "a poser band" yet i believe they are thrash as fuck and genuine thrashers
@hellfencer You should be working hard for the fans, for the music, and for the band. Not working for the money. If you really care so much about the money maybe you should write some pop music. You should be content just writing something that takes talent and effort. I'm a musician as well and I would not mind giving away every last cd I recorded for free because in the end I feel it more important that the people have access to music. I could care less about my money, I'd rather be poor.
That scream is just UNREAL.
this is what i like^^im very happy that there are bands like voivod with 8 min. songs about space, machines, aliens and so on
WHOA that was his scream?? i thought that was a huge harmonic or something for the longest time.. that's crazy.
gotta love how badass this band is!!!! seriously. tootallly creative.
Great band. Going to see them live for the second time 4/5. Can't wait!
This demo version is the best high pitch scream!
This song if the song that introduced me to Vektor 5 years ago its still fucken kills
Razor's scream is pretty close, "The Marshall Arts" scream is nearly 30 seconds long. And "High Speed Metals" are brutal as well.
SCI.FI THRASH!? THAT'S WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! :D
Go look up Nocturnus if you havent heard of them
@Ozlanthos Well that's your opinion, many people are fine with rough vocals, I personally think it lends a certain roughness to the song. And I'm not just talking about screaming, thrash style vocals too.
Great Thrash band.
Very technical !

apparently this band likes voivod... the similarities in the logo are un-canny
Awesome song and logo =)
Awesome stuff.
oh yeah, i've heard them! they are amazing! cool stuff man!
Revocation kicks ass.
sick new album cover
I personally prefer the Black Future version. Which is good because what's the point of rerecording something if you don't make it better? That said, both versions are incredible and contain some of the best songwriting I've ever heard from a thrash band.
holy shit! was that his scream? because if it was, he just beat King Diamond in pitch, either way cool band!
I'm just saying they're both great, i don't know why wouldn't you like them.
I'm proud to say I come from the same state as these guys
@Ozlanthos dood the vocals are now a staple to vektor if you have a problem with the vocals then you have a problem with vektor and thats sacrilegious
@THRASHFOREVER420 Vektor better be headlining!
nice shit i like the scream at the begining and others
good thrash
his vocals sound so much like quorthon from bathory! its good!
@NoTaRaSoZZy vektor's whistle notes are wayyyyyyyyyyyy higher than slayer's.
@Byrgskap the angel of death scream?
You Should check out Magnus - Psychosis
I believe this is a demo version. Really awesome though.
YES.
Fuck yeah, I like it!
@Byrgskap Razor - The Marshall Arts. 30 second scream.
What about Havok?
Voivod?

I know this is 5 years ago, but I've seen TH live as part of a supporting lineup for Dying Fetus. They're damn good live.
@slayyer000 theres nopt that many proper poser bands in the thrash scene at the moment to be quite honest
@THRASHFOREVER420 Me too!
No its not, of course it isnt heavier than Vektor, but its a awesome group too, and btw they're pretty similar to each other, if you like vektor then you should like Toxic Holocaust

Sounds good. Reminded me of Obliveon.

sci-fi thrash? what!?
@NoTaRaSoZZy nope.jpg
@slayyer000 eeh the whole thrash trend died in england about 2 years ago so im not too bothered
@hellfencer Personally, I prefer Slayer's Angel of Death scream to this. Too high-pitched for my enjoyment. Great song though.
