Does left ascending lumbar vein communicate with left renal vein?

@ That is a very good question unnoticed by many.
The 1st and 2nd lumbar veins unite to form the ascending lumbar vein which drain into:
1. Azygos vein on the right side.
2. Inferior hemiazygos vein on the left side.
@ The inferior hemiazygos vein arises from the back of the left renal vein.
Therefore, the left ascending lumbar vein communicates with the left renal vein.
