No the customer is wrong. A lot of froyo places charge by the *weight* not the bowl. It's not a buffet. It's not a one time fee. You're paying for product. You will get the cops called on you and you will be expected to pay for PRODUCT YOU'RE EATING.
That's the point of the video
Heathers pfp?!
I work at an ice cream place but I work in the back for this exact reason, I would of had to physically restrain myself from punching the customer
would have*
@@jolonghthong or would've, which admittedly sounds a lot like would of, but does not mean the same.
Reason why I turned into a cook 🤣😭
yea, I'm still shocked people act like this
Why is it always "would of"😭 where did y'all get this idea
This is theft. Unless she pays for it, the cashier needs to involve the police.
Even just having them on the phone will sort people right out
Lmao its a skit brother and a joke
@@Echokeres not a good one
@@Echokereseven if it is a skit and a joke, it’s a real life situation. Cops should’ve gotten involved.
@@lovelysophxox lmao okay…
And then you pull out the camera and ban the lady
Yeah.. I would’ve let her enjoy the “free” froyo till the cops got there 😂
Unfortunately for someone to actually get charged most of the time, and even then a "proper" charge, they'd have to eat something that costs far more than that
I'd say at least $70
Minimum $30 of lost merchandise for anything even worth court/punishment
But at that cost you're getting a strict telling off, and a lecture, maybe a fine etc
Unless you're a minority, homeless, or an addict
Then you get jail time like the scummy person everyone knows you are
@@beththegreenyou can get a trespass order against them though even if they don't get jail time or fined. We had to do it all the time for people stealing like dollar beers at our store all the time
Actually where I live she would get fined 200+ dollars if she doesn't pay
I would know i was 14 when I got charged for accidentally walking out of a store with something in my basket when I went shopping with friends.
your such a good actor to the point where this actually made me upset 😅😂
Same, exactly this
I’d just snap a picture for the “banned from store” wall of shame and call the police for theft. Like with that attitude I don’t get paid enough to play games.
I love the wall of shame. The gas station by me has one. I asked them if they ever come back. Yes. About half of them do. No shame!
period
Id just call the police after the second back and forth. I know shes not that stupid. Its an act. And if she is that stupid its criminal. And not my problem ad probably a 16 to 20 something making minimum wage at orange leaf.
I’m on my last 2 days of orange leaf making 8 dollars an hour and this is exactly how some people act… it’s crazy how belligerent some people can be

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m like 99% sure I went to elementary school with this girl 😭
That's when you call the police because that lady is stealing product
So at this point, I would be calling the police because this is considered a theft of services and goods you cannot eat something and then refuse to pay for it. You cannot refuse to hand it over so that they can weigh it if you do they have every right to estimate What is a fair price to charge you personally if it was me, I would just go ahead on and call the cops and press charges or at least trespass or because entitlement should not be rewarded. Entitlement should be punished at this point. There’s too much of it going around.
Well employee would be wirng bc she said they did offer refills and wasn't specific enough and if this is yiur first time going you'd assume it was free refills as well since most places when they say refills imply that it's free. And nobody can force her to pay for something without weighing accurately and without proof that it was intentional theft
@@Havis_Princess That's when you pull out your 9mm pistol and make her pay a thousand times the cost in medical fees.
Nobody cares u wrote that all out to defend over prices yogurt

@@Impresya9 So legally, in my state, since the worker mispoke, the customer gets that cup for free since the customer not only asked about the refills before servicing themselves and was told refills ARE allowed. Therefore, the cost would have to be covered by the store.

Overall, the store would be liable since it was a mistake on their part.
I live in California.
Keep a note on how much a full cup weights and charge that if they wont let you weight it
Who pays that much for one FroYo
i would there is only 2 places within the area I live in, and one is across the border in Sweden... 2 froyo stores within a radius of 100km
Idk that seems pretty standard for a large cup in the US
At that price it should be free refills
Where I live they charge at least 75¢ per ounce now...💀
@@RainbowLegion It's 'pay by the weight', not the stores fault she added so much froyo that the total cost was $15
man that “don’t touch my food with your gross hands” pissed me off ik it’s fake and the same person but chances are anyone in the food industry has cleaner hands than the consumer
As someone who works at a restaurant and distributes the food for the customers, this is so real. I have to wash my hands thoroughly every 30 minutes and wear gloves that i change CONSTANTLY, especially when switching tasks (which happens often), and then people have the gall to call my hands dirty 💀
weirdly on the thief’s side..like i too would be very upset if someone said they do refills and then told me AFTER i was eating my refill that i have to pay for it
Same like this has happened to me i know shes making the "thief" worse on purpose because if she acted in any normal way everyone would 100% be on the thiefs side
but... don't start eating it until you know the policy?? it makes literally zero sense to take more food you haven't paid for and start eating it before asking if the refills are free, because they aren't everywhere.
Literally what food chain gives you free refills. Frozen yogurt is not soda that you can get for free. Would you walk into McDonald’s and get mad they don’t give you free fries? Smh
everywhere does refills. they will specify if it's FREE. refill ≠ free
@@noctis7457it makes literally no sense to mention you do refills when u have to pay for it. if a restaurant told you they did “plate refills” u wld think ur plate wld be refilled for free right? because who the hell would mention a refill when u can literally get up and just buy a second one if u wanted to?
Mm sure buddy. You can have you last free refill and while you eat that you’ll also receive the free complimentary ban from the store that comes with it. Don’t come back.
Using a candle as the prop lol
Is she eating a candle?
Why am i on the Froyo theif's side?
because you suck
I mean 15 for yogurt is ridiculous but you can't just steal it.

Okay but imagine buffet style ice cream store omg that would be so coollll
She’s such an icon. I love it. I love theft🥰
For the folks saying that a "refill" implies "free," the _dictionary definition_ of refill is simply to "fill a container again" or "the act of filling a container again. If you look close at restaurant menus, they either have a separate section for drinks that have free refills/get one free refill, or they label specific drinks individually as having free refills. Every drink is available to refill, but some they will charge you for each refill. _Nothing_ about the word refill implies "free," and it never _has,_ and yet you choose to believe it does. The word "free" exists for a reason.
I would understand "refill" as free, too. Always it ment free in the fast. Why should it be different this time.
Yeah the customer could’ve asked if they did free refills and I’m sure staff would’ve politely informed them that refills aren’t free. When you go to a restaraunt they may refill your drink for free but when you finish you meal and ask for another plate, you will be charged for the second meal.
Set a rule in place that if a customer refuses to weigh it it’s permitted for the clerk to calculate visually
One question, sweet frog??
i think so:)
Refills at a froyo place feel super unhygienic, probably shouldn’t advertise that as a thing in the first place.
wait why? genuine question, bc from my understanding, you’re just filling up your own cup, like you would at a public soda fountain
How is it unhygienic
You’re just yapping to yap
@@christygunwaldsen3849 If it were just the froyo getting poured into the cup I agree with the soda fountain comparison, but since there’s the toppings bar I would put it more in line with a buffet with the cross contamination that entails. Just get a new cup with the new transaction, it seems a lot more sanitary and you avoid this situation entirely since it’s not a “refill”. But I’m not a health inspector or anything it just gives me the ick.
I love the fact that it's a candle
So legally, in my state, since the worker mispoke, the customer gets that cup for free since the customer not only asked about the refills before servicing themselves and was told refills ARE allowed. Therefore, the cost would have to be covered by the store.

I live in California.
I like how you’re using a bath n body candle as a bowl
To be fair, who the hell says "refills" like that doesn't mean free? Take the loss
serious tho!! it’s like they want to trick you. you can get a “refill” anywhere lmfao. no one mentions a refill unless it’s free
Not enough context for the skit but I didn't know the employee character actually referred to it as a refill instead of a second purchase... if that's the case then I agree that's not fair and a jerk move.. might stop me from ever coming back
Refills don't automatically mean free. It has to be specified if it's free. There's such a thing as cheap refills (where you still have to pay for a refill but it's cheaper than the original). And in this case the worker meant you can refill the cup you already paid for (cup=starting price) but you still have to pay for the froyo since it's a 'pay by weight'
her “cup” is a candle😂😂
The full saying is "the customer is always right in matters of taste" the customer is often wrong on literally everything else.
Hahahahah it being a candle is so funny
I would just simply walk away with my froyo
I’ve legit gotten more when they aren’t looking before when I was younger 😭
I mean it definitely should come with one free refill for as much as they charge at these places 😅 if they advertize refills, theyre gonna get this kind of confusion, so best to not advertize refills...
It's 'pay by weight' not the stores fault she added so much froyo that the total cost was $15. And refills don't automatically mean free. It could mean the refills are cheaper than the first payment. But in this case I'm pretty sure it means she's allowed to refill the cup she already paid for as long as she pays for the froyo since it's 'pay by weight' (cup=starting price)
Narcissist entitlement mixed with Idiocracy is our downfall fall, just call the police and let them handle her...
And because of the ridiculous price... most Froyo have closed!!!
Just do an unlimited refill charge because like it's not like people can eat that much yoghurt
Why are they charing so much wth!"
Cause it's their job? Do you not know how jobs work???
Because almost all frozen yogurt is based off of weight? If you get a full bowl plus toppings that will add up
"I don't understand the difference". Pay for the thing you took or you're stealing. *Sarcastic jazz hands*
Call the cops
For yogurt. Karen ahh response
Couldn’t you technically be charged with a crime for misuse of emergency lines/services?
They don’t pay employees enough to care this much. if a customer is adamant like this, the best you can do is say “whatever, do what you want I don’t get paid enough, and turn away”
First
Also: I love your videos they are so funny
The fact that she’s “eating” from a candle has me rolling 🤣🤣
Ngl I feel like ice cream and froyo joints have gotten way too expensive. Remember not even 5 years ago I could go to spoon it and get a large cup full of froyo for 5$
Yup inflation is very real
Not eating the candle lol 😂
I like how you’re eating a candle
While I do agree that froyo is too damn expensive and I would never go into the store again, i would not upset the employees, which is what's happening here
OMG I THOUGHT SHE WAS EATING A CANDLE BY HOW THE DESIGNS WERE ON THE CUP
Ten way that she’s just eating a candle😂😂😂😂😂
I loved the one we had here for awhile. I think COVID took them out. Expensive but fun. Even I understood that if I wanted more. I'd have to pay for the more. Lol
Okay but just saying you do “refills” makes me angry. I understand who’s wrong here, but like why even mention u do refills if u have to pay? if someone wanted a second one they wld get up and buy a second one. saying u guys do “refills” is pointless and it’s almost like ur trying to trick someone.
Cause refills don't automatically mean free, it could be reduced/cheap refills. But I think the worker meant you can refill the cup you already paid for (cup=starting price) but you'd still have to pay for the froyo cause it's 'pay by weight'
@@jellycanto8304 I’ve never been anywhere it’s like that. When I go into restaurants and ask if they do refills they say yes and they’re usually free. but I understand that it’s not the same everywhere
@@naiya7040 yeah restaurants give free refills for drinks, but not all restaurants do that though. And a froyo shop is NOT a restaurant. And froyo is NOT a drink. And just cause you've never been to a place like this doesn't mean they didn't exist. I myself have been to places like this. And you've also probably had to pay for refills if you've ever been to a theatre. The point is, refill ≠ free all the time. And anyone who thinks it automatically means free needs to do some research before they go anywhere cause it's just common sense. Or we'll it's SUPPOSED to be coming sense

I did nothing wrong by saying the truth and you're getting upset cause I'm saying the truth. Does wittle baby need me to wie to make you happy?
She’s eating a candle 😂😂
So it's not a buffet style where you pay 7 or 8.99+tx for all you can eat? Then absolutely call the 🚨🚓 If it's a pay per view situation, pay per cup, then she's actively stealing from the company. I think most States consider over $500 a pretty serious crime. $22 and .50
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HOW THE "FROYO" IS A CANDLE
They don't charge for drink refills because a drink is basically just sugar and water. But if you had another bowl of soup, they would definitely charge for that.
Just one sketch, and you've summarized the 4 years of confusion in the early 2010's when Frozen Yogurt was suddenly everywhere, but we only knew that Golden Corral mentality 🥣
why don't people understand that stuff like this is completely out of employee's control? even if the customer's logic DID make sense, all that arguing with employees does is make their job harder
you look just like jemima kirke!!
So the employee told her she could get free refills and then tried to charge her when she realized she told her the wrong thing?
100% the employees fault. Correct the issue by telling them no free refills, but because you misspoke this one refill is. Your mistake is not someone elses problem.
Not exactly the same but from working at a grocery store it gets really annoying when people eat a weighted item and then try to pay for it. The amount of times a parent will hand me a banana peel or half eaten apple cause "tee-hee my little guy got hungry can you still ring this up?" is just crazy.
I only just realized it was a candle
I like how everyone is saying the girl is wrong but can we talk about the economy for a second? why the hell are we being forced to buy 15.00 yogurt and then they make us pay for it again? Dairy Queen wouldn't do that, at least not the ones out here. They'll give you at least one more cup of ice cream it will be a small one but it's another one. I'm still in the store, and I paid $15 for product that you're just going to replace with that $15, you're already making me pay a stupid amount for yogurt to begin with, why not just have it to where you can only have one more serving? Seriously this is like Starbucks people all over again. Make coffee at home or like frozen yogurt at home. If I pay that much for a CUP of yogurt, I expect more than a serving. Jesus Christ.
If you want your free froyo you just ask for a sample cups and try out multiple samples.
There are really people like this and someone should just repossess that product 😭😂
The fact yall even have free refills on drinks- be grateful and pay the damn thing 😭
I wouldn't stress myself out with all that drama, I would just say okay this is a job for the manager or police
Yeah, I'm a chef and if I had to deal with some of the customers I've had to make food for I'd be in prison on murder charges.
Make a difference when people try to control your store. Kudos to Brickley's Ice Cream of RI who closed up when entitled tourists got ugly during Covid. That'll teach em. They just threw everyone out. No ice cream for you!
I would do this with bananas at the grocery store. Cause there was a way to get constantly came in 8 bananas and then tried to pay for the pills. I overcharged her so much. I guarantee it and I do not care.
If you're gonna charge me full price, I want a new container.
Yeah if she doesn't comply after the first time, police time. Don't waste your time honey ❤
Yup this happens a lot. And here my grandpa says the customer is #Always Right ...... Yeah right..... 😶😡
“Ma’am this is theft. I will be alerting the police and showing them camera footage unless you pay.”
What the point of a refill if you going to pay the same price naw imma need new everything
Don't call it a refill then because it's not
I'm so sorry you went through this...props for not calling the police though...makes sense since you don't look white...💀
If a person doesn't want to cooperate in your business. Just call the police and the police will deal with them. Plain and simple.
Are you eating... a candle? 😂
not her eating a candel
Call the police. Don’t argue. Valuable brain cells should not be lost arguing
Take it from her call the police. She will change her tune
I wouldn't even argue. I'd give her one bite, warn her she has to pay again and if she doesn't comply and keeps eating I'm calling the police and giving her information which we undoubtedly have cause there's a high chance a card was used to pay initially, that and you can follow them to get their plate number if they aren't being aggressive
Mmm yummy candle
Ok but hold up..Is she eating a candle? 😂😂
This customer is absolutely infuriating, but I almost forgot the plot when I was reminded how horrifically expensive frozen yogurt is. $15 to $20? God help me, that better be my food for the week.
the cashier misspoke, technically not the customer's fault.
Yes, but then the customer then goes on with an attitude and not cooperating with the cashier. It's start being a lot more on the customer and starts slowly becoming theft.
I think when she said she misspoke, she meant when she said "you can't get more."
Just call the police
Frozen yogurt is ridiculously priced. And all the way and heavy crap people put on it it's not unusual to pay $10 for one bowl of yogurt
$15 for a pot of frozen yoghurt is ridiculous but if you dont like the prices, don't shop there
This is why these businesses churn
If it's not free, it's not a "refill" - it's a repurchase 🤓
Its not a refill if youre paying for a new one.
Yeah, this is why she’d walk out of that place with a blackeye if that was me.
Too expensive i would ask for refill too
no one talking about how she eating a candle?
Shutters down, she's not allowed to leave until the police deal with her
