If not for the Masorti / Conservative movement here in PA, USA where I now live, my connection to Judaism would have ceased to exist and my daughter would never have one.
I personally am very grateful it exists since it offers the kind of pluralistic and inclusive Judaism I can accept.
BTW - It was dealing with the Rabbanut in Jerusalem that finally almost alienated me totally - Orthodox Rabbanut, that is: Our modern-day Pharasees.

@Scruitol Very true, very true indeed.

I do believe that is changing in Israel, anyway. The Rabbanut is losing its monopoly on all things personal (marriage and divorce at least).
I don't need to call myself Orthodox to consider myself a good Jew. I don't need to call myself religious at all. Judaism is much more than a just a religion. Orthodox, Massorti, Reform, secular, Ashkenazi, Sephardi - all are legitimate and all have a part to play.

I wish a Conservative Beit Knesset would be established where I live in Israel!

I have a question as a jew who converted into a conservative movement If I decide to make aliyah, and find a masorti community in Israel with my jewish conversion certificate will my conservative conversion in the masorti community in Israel be recognized?

Religiously, I feel more connected to the Conservative Movement; but socially, I am very conservative: against gay marriage.

Look carefully. This is a distortion of the truth. The leaders do not let the followers educate themselves but rather interpret the tradition for it's ignorant followers. Many commandments are elimated and changed. Study closely you will discovered inconsistensies. this type of Judaism is only maybe 100 years old compared to over 3000 years.
