"The more you share the more creativity you invite." LOVE that! I've watched this video three times now and every time it's more inspiring and motivating.
Im listening to this podcast from Greece while im drawing and just want to let you know that its a huge motivation listen to you. Thank you!! Greetings from home.
Interesting Topic about stealing style. I studied screenwriting for many years and the fear of others stealing my ideas stopped me from moving forward, never sold any of my scripts. I am now learning how to paint to paint my stories, and sometimes I see paintings that looks like what I am trying to do but this time I Will believe in what Dimitria Said, no one can create the way you do, and move forward. Each story is unique. About teaching, I guess all great masters had aprendices. Teaching is a way to expand the name and marketing comes from It so the original work gets more expensive. Thank you Dimitria for sharing your gift with us!
People can always copy you, but they never know what you're about to do next. Once you've created something, best not to covet it, but immediately move on to the next thing that this has inspired you to do. That way you are always on your creative path.
Sharing knowledge with others is always so fulfilling, and it's a gift of love. Being able to make a living by doing what you love is magical. I am currently a student in the Milan Art Mastery program, becoming a professional artist has been a dream since childhood. My teaching story comes from 40 years of teaching gymnastics, dance and circus arts. I took my athletic skill and turned it into career in 1980, into a family business in 1990, then retired from it in the late 2000s. I am retired from the 9 to 5 now and look forward to what possibilities lay ahead. Thank you both for so many inspiring videos and for sharing your personal experiences.
Thank you for your generous and genuine heart as you share the things I really would ask if I could pick your brain. How refreshing you both are. "He has given seed to the sower that we may be generous on every occasion." You are practicing this and being rewarded for your generosity. Hopefully I'll be able to take the Masters program. Thank you so much
I love teaching. I am a yoga teacher and I also do some private art lessons. All of what I offer, feeds into my art. My art feeds my yoga practice, which is high creative.
It's moving me to tears. How inspiring you are guys! Been following you for some years now. And I keep coming back to you. I count the days until I can join you🙏
Well thats good to know, because i started getting into painting about 4 years ago. Nevervdid perfect watercolors, but switched over to acrylics approx 10 months ago. I am plugging and plugging away, trying abstract. I didnt have a clue when i picked it up, but have come ablong way to this day. I have a lot of money invested in supplies for every media. So i have no plans on giving it up. I just wish i started years ago. My plan is to get in the Mastery Program, but cant at this very time. Its the exact kind of paintings that i want to learn. I never had one thought to selling my art, but your program will lead me there.
I have been looking for Dimitri's book online. A link would would be helpful. I have enjoyed and feel these videos are important to my growth as an artist! Thank you so much.
Not to name names but… Tahlia Stanton perhaps? Don’t get me wrong I love Tahlia’s work, but I find it rather distasteful that she explicitly claims to be entirely self-taught when in fact she took the Milan mastery program and is clearly very inspired by Dimitra.
Agreed. I’ve admired her for a long time but when I found out about this I’m starting to kind of lose a little bit of my respect for her. She’s launching a course too, which will probably include a lot of what she learned here, but of course I doubt she’ll credit Milan Art at all.
Damian Hirst is famous in the artworld with a terrible reputation for stealing without crediting the original artist, and yet he remains enriched off of that! But on a separate topic the world has really opened up for artists with these new technologies (Im not talking about AI as a means to rip off other artists) but all the different apps that allow you to unleash your creativity to be able to create from your own inspiration and ideas... It's wondrous.
Every video feels like a sales pitch, always talking about their history...or seems that way. I really appreciate the videos that are focused on technique i instruction because I already know who they are
Not everyone lands on the very first video Milan Art ever put out. That's not how these RUclips videos work. I landed in the middle when the algorithm sent it to me so I was happy about learning their history. If I don't want to hear repeat I just fast forward....they do have a school so they aren't going to give away every single thing they teach in the school...that's just business.
@@barbaramrosek4094 oh. Thank you. I send email, but it takes a while cause the timezone and things. Maybe I have to stop resistance and start. I am almost 60y now, but childhood dream is a dream. I love those videos.
There is also some really good information in the waitlist and you can stay on the waitlist as long as you need/want until you choose to sign up for the Mastery program.
@@cmf1267 Thank you too. I am now on the waiting list, but I have not yet watch if there is more information. Excited. I might be good that I have to wait (cause money) I'm always too hurry to do things or think too much. ☺️
They teach other mostly because they don’t sell enough of their own work-supplementary income that’s the truth. Very few artists really do well…it takes decades of learning
@randallwilson3232 if you watch the other videos her mom gets a bit conspiracy theory sounding about "darkness" and the "dark elitist art system" and God telling her things, homeschooling her kids, and them all living on a compound together...if you watch tons of their videos and/or know anything about cults/religious compounds then my comment makes more sense.
@reyno6826 it's not trolling when you watch their videos and generally give positive feedback...even in this comment. It's called having, and sharing, an opinion. Any engagement in comments is still helpful for the algorithm, so even a comment with some criticism is better than "saying nothing at all" in this case.

i have been an artist for 28 years i dont sell i spend every day painting i will never be the best but i do my best ,i just love to create, thank you
Positive, positive, give, give, watering, watering, from a couple with not just creativity but love. Thank you. Congrats! Keep going.
I’m loving the honesty and integrity to both art and artists
I’m so glad I joined the mastery program! Mind shift: my full time flying job is now my side kick. ❤
Awesome…I’m looking forward to joining when it opens back up😊

I so honor your take on sharing (vs secrecy), Dimitra. 💖🙌🏼
Besides, one’s art is one’s heART-no one else can be YOU!
Love Dimitra’s personality and her thinking process ❤I actually met her in my dream and was just amazing.
Outstanding candid conversation from winners for winners. 👍👍😎. Honesty sells. Really. ✌️

Love that you guys share so freely. Learning a lot here! Thank you.
That's very inspiring. Watering the seed, which also includes watching educational podcasts like this one 👏👏.
Great interview you two! Thank you
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, passion and loving perspective. ❤
Thanks so much for this message 💗
Great mindset guys
Are you able to make a demo on how you draft portrait on canvas😀? Background first or portrait? Thanks!

Here for the names of the artists that weren't named. Lol
Great video 💯🙏💕
Are you going to be teaching in Florida?
A series of art portraying Songs of Solomon would be an amazing theme
Wait what, where in FL you guys at?
❤
Great job. Just wondering if you ever finished high school? I think I heard you say you quit school.

Did the other artists that took your style at least credit Milan Art as the inspiration or influence?

They are a business. Selling is how they make the money that funds their ability to teach you on RUclips for free.

Hi! 🌷 Is it possible to join waitinglist now, but pay and enroll the masterclass later after couple months?
Yes, you can, I did it! There is no obligation to enter into the mastery program after joining the waitinglist!

What was Vincent Van Gogh meant to be doing?
25% seemed like a ripoff (with the publishers and galleries), but it was their network and relationships after all-especially as an unknown/beginner
They teach other mostly because they don’t sell enough of their own work-supplementary income that’s the truth. Very few artists really do well…it takes decades of learning
That’s not true at all. Dimitra, Elli and John all have successful careers selling their art.
Lol .... Here come the trolls
I like your discussions except when they get religious...which make it seem culty
Culty? Whatever. I'm not religious. Their talk about God and spirituality doesn't bother me at all. Sounds like a you problem that it bothers you.

I like that idea of changing how you think about your side hustle vs your primary vocation.
