      Indeed!
There are a couple of demyelinating diseases not covered here (just because of time), including Balo concentric sclerosis, Marburg variant MS, and tumefactive demyelination. Hopefully we can come back and discuss in another lecture soon.

Where exactly should white hyper intensities be for MS? I’m 45 and have them. I know for a fact I have MS and the doctor says that the WH are normal. 🤷🏼‍♀️ How is that possible

    • @LearnNeuroradiology

Well, while patients with MS have white matter hyperintensities, not all people with hyperintensities have MS because a lot of other things can cause them, like migraine, small strokes, infection, trauma, and others.
White matter lesions from MS are often around the ventricles, in the brainstem or cerebellum, and near the cortex. You have to consider it with the symptoms, other results such as lumbar puncture, and course over time.

This is what Harold Ramis (who played as Egon Spengler on Ghostbusters) was going through before he passed.
