Tim Horton’s Pouter’s (Poutines) are some of the lowest quality Pouter’s in Ontario. For Top Notch Pouter’s you cant go to a restaurant chain, or a fancy restaurant. The BEST Pouter’s are going to be from you’re Mom & Pop’s chip stands, the small lesser known places will be the best, in Ontario anyways. Up here in Northern Ontario, Timiskaming Shores to be exact. We have a dozen or 2 Pouter shops and the best two would have to be; #2; Grandma Chippers in North Cobalt $ #1: The Silver Cafe in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada. Will blow you’re F@$king Minds !!!!!!!
I lived near an A&W that still had the Drive In style setup, you'd order at the Walk up window then they'd hook a tray on your partially open window with your order. I think it was the very last one in Ontario if not Canada. So it's super nostalgic for me. Just wanted to note that it was a Beyond Meat burger...I'm guessing that you're trying to compare the two which is alright. My mom and I get a Teen burger each when we go and it's regular meat vs vegan meat. Just thought I'd note that for those whom aren't Canadian.
Just watched your video, and had a wicked idea; fish and chips poutine!!! I also noticed the 'happy dance ' when you tried Sweet Jesus ice cream, I want some!
My grandfather used to take me to A&W growing up and theres nothing like an A&W root beer from an iced cold glass with vanilla ice cream on top. So a root beer float.
I remember when A&W was a drive in restaurant and they roller skated your food over on a tray that hooked over the window!! Oooohhh I miss that! Old school. Also...you went there and DIDN'T get a root beer float?!!
We use to have an A&W Restaurant where we live. It closed down a few years ago. We purchased a few A&W frosted mug filled with a root beer float. The mug cost us $5 a piece. We still put our A&W mugs in the freezer to have a frosty mug. I liked the A&W Restaurant food. But it was also a Long John Silvers restaurant combined. It's now a Mexican restaurant.

@@marykoufalis7666 Thanks, Mary. You, too .By the way, when did I refer to fries as "crisps"? "Crisps" is the term used in the UK to describe potato chips. Fries in Britain are called "chips", and that is what they used to be called in much of Canada half a century ago. "Chips and gravy" was a popular dish everywhere in Canada up until the 60's. It still is popular here and in the UK and in Australia. Adding cheese curds to it was the "invention" in Quebec. It's a traditional junk food with unripened cheese curds thrown into the mix.

Oh really! I wondered why we didn’t get any ice! Very interesting thank you 😀
You didn't eat A&W burgers, you ate a meat free thing that is the same as the others. You missed out by not getting their Teen Burger or one of the others.
Oh! It's not the same as the others. The Tims Beyond Burger and the A&W one are completely different in taste
@@McflyJamb That's because they are fried with the different burgers. A&W Beyond meat it fried in the grease of their burgers. That's why they taste different.
They may add a few different spices that the others don't have but it's still not the same as an A&W burger. Also, they can't fry it in the grease of the meat burgers and still call it meat free. It's also another highly processed food that I don't trust.
@@SurleyBlaine They one hundred percent do. It's on their website. Sorry to burst your bubble
@@SurleyBlaine They aren't installing new grills for the burgers
COME TO VANCOUVER ITS BEATIFUL!!!
You cant do a review on fast food after its sat for 30mins. Its Never the same! Lol
Love from Toronto!!! Loved that you guys came to Toronto to try different things but I’m sad because I’ve only started watching you guys recently lol. Wish I could have met you guys!
The a & w makes the fountain root beer fresh in store that is why it taste better
A&W is the best!!! Always need to go for the frosted glass root beer float!
Wish we tried one now!
I'm from Toronto and I'd have to say the best poutine I've had by far is from Smoke's poutine! So many different varieties and they stack it high! Delish!
over priced, yuck.
Welcome to Toronto guys. You picked a beautiful weekend to visit. Getting a poutine at Tim Hortons is like buying your wedding cake at a truck stop.
The original A&W is located in Lodi, California!
Ah awesome! Thanks Michelle
American A&W is completely different than Canadian A&W
I am jealous of the one Kate and Alex tried in Canada! It was so amazing. Thank you for the great information about the first one. I am so old, when we were kids. They gave you a mini frosted glass mug of root beer. And I think it was free. And you kept the mug. I bought a few awhile back at a collectibles mall .Notice I couldn’t bring myself to say antiques mall ! 🎠🍺💐
I've spent a ton of time in Toronto & really ❤ the city, however Montreal will always hold my ❤
OMG now I'm craving Beavertails. I'll walk down and get that on the weekend 🤤🤤🤤
So lucky!’ Enjoy 😀
Jealous! - Alex
@@ThisWithThem I'll have a second one for you in solidarity 😂🤣
Thanks for coming to Canada!
bye :)
come back soon!
She's so beautiful, her accent is adorable, but she said Tims poutine is 10/10. 😔 I guess no one is perfect
My Canadian heart is so happy :) glad u guys had fun in Toronto :) the big city is known for the tourist attractions , and the Ripley's Aquarium, you should vist
Ahh yaay 😀😀♥️♥️ we absolutely loved our time in Toronto!
Bet those are amazing 😍😍😍
We don't call them chip stands
I’m Canadian (Southern Ontario)and have never heard Poutine being called Pouter
@@stacydw8701 Same! I live in Toronto and have never heard poutine referred to as pouter either. I wonder if that's a Northern Ontario thing?
The best poutine in TO comes from the chip wagons parked on Front St. in front of rage CN Tower.
Why didn't you do an actual beef burger? Are you veggies? Just curious.
I’m Canadian! I’m from Alberta though, many provinces west from Ontario. I’m so happy you visited. Looks like you had great weather & a lovely time.
Thank you Adrienne!
Love that you came to Canada!! You should try Montreal next! The food there is the BOMB!
Just watched your video, and had a wicked idea; fish and chips poutine!!! I also noticed the 'happy dance ' when you tried Sweet Jesus ice cream, I want some!
Can’t beat a teen burger. My favourite fast food hamburger.
Don’t Poke The Bear me too! Also love the Chubby Chicken.
@@DioneN Mozza Burger all the way :)
@@nixiekin6367 i agree....Mozza burger is my go to burger at A&W
My grandfather used to take me to A&W growing up and theres nothing like an A&W root beer from an iced cold glass with vanilla ice cream on top. So a root beer float.
To eat poutine, you have to be in Québec 🙂
Not true ,
@@danielleking4186 comments like that really show how little you know about the dish.
@@lemo4423 lmfao I'm from Canada and lived here all my life grew up eating poutine and I don't live in Quebec lol
@@danielleking4186 The poutine is definitely better in Quebec.
I remember when A&W was a drive in restaurant and they roller skated your food over on a tray that hooked over the window!! Oooohhh I miss that! Old school. Also...you went there and DIDN'T get a root beer float?!!
A&W and Harveys are the 2 better fast food burger. Tim’s for me it’s just chocolate dip donut and ice-cap, coffee I prefer McDonald’s.
That’s a shame it closed down! Ah I love that. How awesome 🍻 oh really. Didn’t know that
Oh yes, from the fountain and as cold as you can
So good from the fountain!! 😍
Rootbeer in the frosted glass is so nice, especially on a summer day. It's a treat my mom likes too. We literally have an A&W behind us where I live...One thing though you should have gotten - their onion rings!
Plus, I have not tried the Timmie's beyond meat burger but the A&W one is good. Side note - Toronto is often nicknamed T.O. - for Toronto, Ontario
How do you two not gain weight? I just gained 10 lbs watching the video! 😂
everything in moderation...
Try watching it with the fridge door closed.
Hi Kate&Alex! I'm in NYC! Loved this video!! I visited Toronto as a child, but would love to go back! Your video was such an inspiration! Please visit NYC again&try our wonderful burgers&fries&shakes at Shake Shack! So good!! Enjoy your channel,my fave!!👍💜
The only place to have poutine is in Montreal. Having poutine from Timmies is a huge sin...lol .
Mary Koufalis. Well, it depends where you live. I live in 2019 and there is good poutine all across Canada. It's chips and gravy with rubbery bland cheese curds; not pheasant under glass.
@@bobbbxxx What a rookie comment. No one in their good mind will ever take advice about poutine from someone who refers to fries as crisps. Stay in your lane and stop embarrassing yourself.
@@marykoufalis7666 LOL! How could anyone possibly get their knickers in a twist about a disgusting inherently junk food like Poutine. It's greasy fast food; enjoy it but don't expect me to argue with you on the internet over it because I have no interest.
@@bobbbxxx no desire in the least. Let's remember who had the smart ass answer to my comment. Have a spectacular week end.
Love you guys sooooo much you’re the best you tubers ever
You’re too kind thank you Faith!! ♥️
My favourite from A&W is the mozza burger. The best chocolate in Canada is Purdy's. You should check them out next time you come.
Nick Gooderham strongly agree on both points ☺️
Tim Hortons food is literally the bottom of the barrel food so its amazing that you think its good. Timmies poutine is probably the worst poutine you could have tried. love that you guys are so open to trying things ! love how kind and polite both of you are :)
We thought the burger was good but very surprised by the pastries. Thought they were going to be better then they were!
Haha we loved it 😂 thank you Emily 😀
I live an hour or so away from Toronto (Barrie), and there’s an A&W up the street from me lmao
