Hi Dan, yes sir! I did at least one review on the Dietz and Watson and the Boars Head natural casing dogs. They are both excellent! Because they are natural casing, I have to think they are in a different category than a regular store bought dog.
Nathans are always usually a solid dog but personally I'm more of a Sabrett skinless beef Frankfurter's type of guy. I just like the low sodium Content while still maintaining a Very umami flavor and it's just got that that crisp juicy snap once they've been properly grilled.
Okay good Franco! Is Sabrett's skinless available nationally? Wide distribution is my focus here. I think I had Sabrett some times when I visited NY but ordering them seems expensive. You want to send some to me? I'd be glad to review!
So I did some research: According to "Consumers weekly", the distribution of Sabbret Franks is largely contained within NY state, which, according to a company insider, is both due to demand, and brand constancy. This although doesn't mean it's the only place they are sold. Marathon Enterprises, Inc. has been known to wholesale parcels to vendors who've established relationships with the aforementioned; mostly condensed in the NY tristate area. In summary, they "can" be found, you'd just have to look in the right place, and there seems to be no interstate distributors listed anywhere on the website. Best bet is sticking to ol' Oscar Mayer, they'll rarely disappoint. Cheers Michael!
@@Franco87344 Thank you bratha! I appreciate the research! I may order some Sabbret, with a high shipping cost, to my location in Texas. My dog reviews have been focused on nationally available brands and Nathans comes out at 55 cents a dog here, wins in taste and price every time. Thanks again!
At some point I'm hoping to do a final ranking of all the national brands I've reviewed and Bar S Beef is way down there in taste and texture and it's 39 cents a dog, which is also cheap. But if you can get a Nathan's for 55 cents a dog or an Oscar Mayer Natural Angus for 57 cents a dog, that's what I recommend every day. I tasted all of my dogs without mustard or any other condiments and Bar S is not a good hot dog....
I love the Nathans and the Hebrew Nationals but Try the Dietz & Watsons they are really excellent
