Here’s the breakdown: your hair is made of protein, but through normal wear and tear or use of chemicals and heat your hair strands get holes in them (damaged areas). The hair protein treatment fills in these holes with protein, so essentially it’s a patch job that boosts the strength of your hair!

After a protein treatment, it's advisable to apply a deep conditioning moisturizer to restore the softness and lustrousness of the hair.

@@beautifuldreamer8803 ... just out of curiosity and also wanted to do a follow up on the long-term use of either one of those protein treatments...
      [For you]
      1. Did it (they) help with retaining length, when used regularly?
      Or
      2. Did they encourage more and faster split ends?
      [For me]
I noticed more frequent and severe split ends in my hair. My ends would split into three pieces and climb 2 to 3 inches up the shafts, where they look like the strands were peeling off like a banana 🍌.
I would trim the ends, but continous use, the same thing would happen all over again.
And yes, I have stopped using the OTC treatments.
Has anyone else experience the same thing?
Please let me know your results.
      Thank you

I have not experienced this. My problem is my nape area not growing. Hope you find a protein treatment that does work for you soon.

Hey 👋🏾 you have to develop a hair regimen. Buy a diary and calendar for your hair appointments and monitor your progress with pictures.
If your ends are damaged you will have to slowly cut it away each month or so.
Balance out you protein and moisture deep conditioning treatments.
Cover your hair at night with a silk or satin bonnet.
Eat healthy foods and drink lots of water. Vitamins are good also.
Protective hair styles are great because you keep your hands out of your hair.
      Hope that helps. 🙂👍🏾

You used a large amount of the ORS. This review is not quite accurate.

At that time I believe I put 2 table spoons each of product in each tint bowl. I try to use an ample amount of product each time, I try not to waste product.
