Just when I thought I could not find another new favorite trekking pole, Cascade Mountain Tech surprised me again. I love these 2 Section UL Carbon Fiber Poles. They weigh only 5.6 ounces each!

I’m needing a set it seems. Going downhill bothers my knee and I heard they can help. Thanks for the review!
A nice looking set of poles.
Yeah not too shabby. I enjoyed using them. Truth be told most of the time I only use poles for porch mode for my hammock tarp but these are so light I might be using them more for hiking
Very cool!
Thanks man appreciate it
Good to know.
Thanks!!!
Nice piece of gear.
Thanks John. Hope you’re doing well buddy
I have the aluminum Cascade Mountain Tech ones with cork grips. No complaints at this time and I've had them a little over a year. Picked them up to use with a trekking pole tent.
I prefer cork handles. Preference developed from years of flyfishing with cork handled rods. It just feels more natural in my hands.
Yeah I know most folks prefer them. I probably will too after the Eva erodes away on these.
Not too bad!
Tommy like wingeys
How's the 75 day challenge going ? You are looking good. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks Scott, Day 30 today, going well. Havent missed a day yet. I got a few more videos coming out this week
GAH! I keep changing my mind about what kind of trekking poles to get and you aren't helping. 🤣
Haha sorry man. They are sending me a foldable aluminum pair next LOL
Oh wow! I just returned a pair I bought. Broke after 2uses. Hopefully mine were just a bad set
Hmm well did they snap or something or was it the locking mechanism? Now I am intrigued. Maybe I need to get out there and rough mine up a bit LOL
@@thathikingguy they warped and I honestly don't even know how or when it happened
I like the poles. Will probably invest after a few more backpacking trips
Question for you (or anyone). Do you bring water when going to charles deam, or do you filter from monroe lake (or another source)?
I plan on heading out there for a 2 day trip on the 26th-28th
I usually bring a gallon jug with me for the simple fact that most everything I do out there is five miles or less. If you go to the peninsula trail and end up at the lake shore you can filter lake water. All the ponds out there are sketch and the creeks are seasonal and not reliable
@@thathikingguy thank you! I plan on being, somewhat, close to the lake
