Those rules sound as f u as when imca started. You could run a automatic, but it had to come from a certain manufacturer. Same with Bert ar bring, could only run 1 or the other i can't remember. There were other things also. Bottom line was if that brand of part wasn't a point donated to imca, you couldn't use it. It was 25 years ago but I'm sure it still rings true.
