all space marines, even firstborn (to which primaris supposed to be superior), can move with the speed of sound but only in short bursts of speed (while striking, parrying, grabbing, dodging, etc), while sandavistan allows adam smasher to move with massively supersonic speed constantly without a break, which gives him a massive and constant speed advantage. any space marine would have an advantage in everything else over adam smasher however. i'll list firstborn space marine's advantages from the smallest to the biggest: - reach - by jes goodwin's design, firstborn are 8 feet tall in low stance and 9 feet tall while standing up straight. their limbs are also proportionately larger than normal human's, giving them even larger reach. in game adam smasher seems to be shorter than in the lore, which is 9 feet tall, but in both cases his limbs still seem to be proportionally shorter. - strength - space marine can generate the same speed as smasher (even if for shorter time duration) while being heavier, considering how in the lore they crack concrete by merely walking on it unlike smasher. - weaponry - bolter is a 750 rpm .998 missile launcher with insane muzzle velocity, even from smasher's perspective. space marine's combat knife uses a monomolecular adamantine edge, allowing him to literally cut into the very bonds between molecules with each strike. - durability - considering how they can withstand and not get hurt by getting directly hit by thunder strikes that create giant craters in the ground they stand on. they are also conditioned to turn themselves into ballistic missiles by slamming themselves into the ground with jump packs at massively supersonic speed. - intellect - it's comparable to a stockfish supercomputer, allowing space marines to predict many combat moves into the future with very high precision during combat. - absolute precision. - and most importantly, absolute reflexes. to space marine's perspective, combat is like a chess game, considering how limited their speed is in comparison to their overwhelming cognitive abilities. it is why a single space marine duel can last entire days. both space marine and smasher have seemingly never ending stamina. in close combat, smasher would be able to perform attacks extremely rapidly, while space marine would be limited to 3-4 strikes per second. however considering all the advantages a space marine holds, i'm pretty sure he'd win this duel. let alone primaris or specifically titus.
...You have to consider the speed Space Marines move in comparison to humans. Space Marines are ALWAYS that fast. Cyberpunk gear grants a TEMPORARY boost.
According to the lore of Warhammer 40k, bolter rounds are typically considered to travel at a very high velocity, often estimated to be well above supersonic speeds, making them significantly faster than most real-world bullets, with some sources suggesting speeds comparable to a high-powered rifle round in the range of 2,500-3,000 feet per second (760-910 meters per second).
Assuming a 20inch barrel for which the round was designed for, the common 55grain 5.56 travels typically around 3000 fps leaving the muzzle, but past 250-300 yards it falls off to about 2000 fps. A bolter on the other hand would probably be slower exiting the muzzle, due to bolts containing their own propellant they actually increase in velocity as time increases much like a gyro jet round.

The other cyberpunk weapon I believe that could pose a threat is the smart weaponry with guided projectiles. they could target and home in on the less protected joints in the marine's armor. velocity is the important fact. Since velocity is squared in the equation. Really I think any Space Marine defense hinging on tech and armor or reaction falls apart when a Space Marine can bite it to a very pointy stick wielded by Ghazghkulls favorite Grot.
to be honest, Cyberpunk 2077 does have some higher level tech then the Imperium of Man in 40k. the main creations out of the Imperium of Man are usually somthing that will be used for war and can be very crude and basic. where as Cyberpunk has kind of a very wide range of high level tech that can be sold in a capitalistic society, so it comes with a degree visual appeal or elegance. before anyone wants to misinterpret this, i am NOT saying that the tech in Cyberpunk is better then everything in the 40k universe. the Necrons and Eldar have access to shit that was crafted by gods and can manipulate reality itself! the stuff the Emperor made like the Primarchs, the Custodes and the Space Marine Gene Seeds are way a head of anything in Cyberpunk. but Titus doesnt have access to all that, only the Gene seed in his own body and tools of war given to him. Cyberpunk has some crazy tech that is better then the same type of tech in the Imperium of Man, but also at the same time the Imperium of Man has machines of war that could easily wipe out anything Cyberpunk could throw at them. the real answer to Titus vs Smasher is; Smasher is 1 of a kind, where as Titus is 1 Space Marine in an army of Billions of other Space Marines.
This is the same situation where people think Spartans can take Space Marines. If you know the lore of either of these groups, you know who wins and it's not even close.
Lore-Wise a Spartan: - Is Faster than a Primaris Marine - Is Stronger than a Primaris Marine - Has fewer 100% Vital Organs than a space marine But do go on.
1:00 We do not need to imagine anything, we know the Techs in both universes and NO 40k does not have better tech. MAYBE 30k did, but 40k literally does not. You give the empire a Tech Rifle, and Night City a Plasma Rifle, Night City will have that mass produced, with improvements, in a year. The empire LITERALLY doesn't know how their OWN tech works, without a blueprint they can't even make anything complicated. I am curious, did you get into 40K with space marine? Because this whole take feels like "I am new to 40k and only know the meme lore", the empire SUCKS, and tech is about their second weakest element.
Yeah as much as I love Warhammer, Edgerunner makes the case pretty clear. A normal space marine can't even land a shot on the guy. He is just WAY too fast, he'd pluck bolt rounds out of the air and just put his hand through the gaps in a Marine's armor. Remember, Marines die to freaking orks, fairly regular.
That means absolutely nothing orks can make anything they believe come true and they believe that they hit harder than they do therefore it will kill a op space marine. And you seem to forget the gaps in the armor are not week the carapace of the space marine is tough enough to deflect regular arms fire (excluding bolters) and is tough enough to not get cut by regular blades so a metal fist is doing nothing
"just put his hand through the gaps in a Marine's armor." Lol, lmao even. If he comes close to a Marine he dies. Smasher is only faster than normal if he uses the Sandevistan. Without that he is easily hittable so i don't know what you are smoking.

So basically a space marine versus a necromancy that sucks
Really I think any Space Marine defense hinging on tech and armor or reaction falls apart when a Space Marine can bite it to a very pointy stick wielded by Ghazghkulls favorite Grot.
Orkz can literally kill a god with a Prison Shiv because they believe they can.
@Peter_Turbo4 and I wouldn't have it any other way, I love them just the way they are.
to be honest, Cyberpunk 2077 does have some higher level tech then the Imperium of Man in 40k. the main creations out of the Imperium of Man are usually somthing that will be used for war and can be very crude and basic. where as Cyberpunk has kind of a very wide range of high level tech that can be sold in a capitalistic society, so it comes with a degree visual appeal or elegance.
before anyone wants to misinterpret this, i am NOT saying that the tech in Cyberpunk is better then everything in the 40k universe. the Necrons and Eldar have access to shit that was crafted by gods and can manipulate reality itself! the stuff the Emperor made like the Primarchs, the Custodes and the Space Marine Gene Seeds are way a head of anything in Cyberpunk. but Titus doesnt have access to all that, only the Gene seed in his own body and tools of war given to him.
I simply disagree, Titus literally killed a hell brute. Most marines don't live to tell that tale.
This is the same situation where people think Spartans can take Space Marines. If you know the lore of either of these groups, you know who wins and it's not even close.
Lore-Wise a Spartan:
- Is Faster than a Primaris Marine
- Is Stronger than a Primaris Marine
- Has fewer 100% Vital Organs than a space marine
But do go on.
A much fairer fight for Adam Smasher would be with the Master Chief
John folds him in half because Adam ain’t that guy.
*Imperium of Man, not empire. empire is old WH: Fantasy
You quite clearly blew in from r/Grimdank.
You need to go back.
"just put his hand through the gaps in a Marine's armor."
Lol, lmao even. If he comes close to a Marine he dies. Smasher is only faster than normal if he uses the Sandevistan. Without that he is easily hittable so i don't know what you are smoking.
To uncountable hordes of superstrong gorilla fungus whoose weapons work because they say so.
@@CedricBassman Have you seen Edge Runner? His game version sucks but if you actually see him in the cannon he can quit literally just grab a marines helmet and pull their head off. ORKS are fast enough to give marines trouble in 1v1's, they get roasted by Eldar.
Ya'll are WAY overhyping marines, read a few books with them in it not just a power fantasy game, they die to the stupidest shit all the time.
@@Darsha117
YOu are way overhyping Smasher, to an insane degree even.
Titus absolutely stomps. But vs a primaris smasher could totally win.
No.
@Peter_Turbo4 he COULD. I can see it. Do I think he'd win EVERY fight? Nah.
@@SomeFish. Smasher is a dollar-store Ruststalker.
To be completely honest I'm on smashers side. Space Marines and chaos Marines, even orks and necrons have some insane plot armor when the book/shows call for it. "Oh my space marine survives because some magical ancient relic" bs, every single. Fucking time. I love Warhammer. But there's no denying that they have the shield of plot on their side when the need for protection arises. And clinically insane fans.
Sandevistan is too good, he would be too fast for space marines
He would be able to run away and that's about it
What Smasher can do with a Sandevistan Space Marines can literally do on their own, and then some.
Tourist take
@@CedricBassmanCan Space Marines dodge bullets at will consistently? Because Smasher can and has the best weapons on his arsenal.
@@trivemix725 They don’t need to due to their armour.
A Sicarian Ruststalker on the other hand, they eclipse Smasher’s capabilities.
Frank Horrigan vs Astartes is close, but Adam will be the water and Towel bearer.Kharn,Sigismund ,Argel Taal,Sevetar(i dont even talk about Ahriman and psyker marines...gg well played) will body uncle Frank easy.Case close, get the coffin it's over.
Pretty much, yeah.
A regular Marine is getting folded by Frank.
To a Veteran Marine, Frank is just an Armoured Mutant.
😂😂😂😂😂
the cope in the comments is wild. im gonna preface this with the fact that im a big warhammer fan and i like cyberpunk the anime was cool ans the game is awesome but space marine 2 is whete its at right now.
with that being said:
your first point is the sandy and its all he needs. titus would get his head ripped off. theyre the same height and smasher is mostly made of tempered hardened steel. this makes him much heavier than a space marine including titus he could absolutely quite literally run THROUGH titus like he is made of butter and before someone says "but space marines have special black armor beneath their skin!" yean they do but its really not that strong lol and neither is space marine armor.
space marines are fast but the sandy lets smasher move faster than custodes.
you all really think titus is going to win this fight you are mad. he would be dead in less than a second if smasher didnt want to talk first.
there is zero competition.
smasher wins.
p.s. your idea that smashers tech would somehow hurt his peformance is ludicrous 😂
warhammer is based in a universe where tech never progresses or improves(if you didnt know this look into the machine spirit)whereas smasher uses tech that is most arguably more advanced than anything the imperium has.
