I have muscle tension dysphonia. I have to say when I first got dysphonia I was unable to speak at all. My voice was so bad. After 7 years of botox injections the botox began improving the tight pressure but my voice still strained. Now I am out of botox and I voice sampling my voice after and before my vocal therapy voice re training. After voice training I sample my voice and my voice improves for those slight minutes. When I am in a relaxed state 20 minutes or so later I can speak clearer. But it will not be affective if I stop doing the therapy training.

Would you be able to do a video with proper breath control when speaking these M words? If you do have one I must’ve overlooked it but I struggle with that.

I have a friend whose voice goes in and out so it makes communication difficult. She has gone to doctors had an MRI and other tests with no answers. It sounds almost like static when she is speaking. You hear some sounds but then you have to put it together in your head. What suggestions? Do you have an idea of what it is? Do you have a video to refer me to?

Hello, this is a resonant voice therapy task. Speaking with a forward/frontal resonance helps to have a more efficient voice production and takes the effort off the throat. M words are a step toward speaking in conversation with frontal resonance. We use m words at first, because they are produced through the nasal cavity, which helps to bring the energy upward.

@@SierraSpeech Thanks! So are you saying we can practise m words to get the feel of where we should be talking from in the throat, so to speak? If so how long should we practise this per day or week etc?

I am totally weak now my voice always let me down, can i get a normal voice ? I hope one day before i die i wish to have a great voice i want to talk like normal person with a very good voice, are there any surgery or procedures which permanently can give my voice back anyone please help me because the voice therapy will not work one me..

Bruh I feel your pain🥲 I can’t empathise but sympathise with u. For me it’s different. I started suffering with this a while back, because I was singing with bad technique. I’m 18 years old. As someone who sings all the time, it’s hard to face that I’m suffering with something like this, that inhibits me from singing or even talking properly. Ur comment really touched me. I hope one day you will get treated properly, and you will speak like a normal person as you wish🙏

I had a coward ass white supremacist doctor mutilate my superior laryngeal nerves on each side and framed me by trying to call it "Muscle Tension Dysphonia" after. I'm pretty monotone now with absolutely no upper range anymore but other doctors are also trying cover up like cowards n trying to diagnose it as mtd but nobody wants to put me in speech therapy because they know it won't work. This is really frustrating n I'm trying everything I can to not have to retaliate in a sick ass way. I just want help.
