There's a difference between cultural appropriation, and cultural appreciation. A Sombrero is literally just a hat for 1. A poncho is literally just a clothing item. And Maracas are instruments. It's not like he wore that, dancing in the street saying, "hey look im a bad guy.", as he wasn't doing anything negative, or really even positive. Now if it was something like, him wearing a Native American cheifs hat, then that would be offensive because, that is usually worn by people of high stature amongst the tribe, and he would not be deserving of it. That is cultural appropriation. Wearing what he wore was appreciating.
