Few Things That Didn't Make into the video
Battery - iPhones will have a Smaller Capacity Battery, so it might not last as long as few of the Android phones
but it gets most out of its battery (if you compare both android and iPhone with same battery capacity, iPhone will last longer due to its great optimization)
Anyway, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, And 11 Pro Max will give great battery life..
Heating - this totally depends on your room temperate,
but according to my experience both the oneplus 9 pro and iPhone 11 heats up identically, however the iPhone will stay at a constant Heat, where as the Android will keep rising
and their Performence during heating
iPhone will get frame drops but not as much as Android Would Get, (iPhone Will Decrease its Perform and Dimmer the Brightness, and it may get few frame drops like 1-5)
Android will get continuous Frame Drops (it usually gets frame drops even when its not hot at all, so imagine how crazy frame drops it gets when its heated up)
and Gaming Phones like (Rog 5, Red Magic 6) will perform slightly better than OnePlus 9 Pro But still it can't beat iPhones

i have both ios and android but for gaming ios really has the advantage you can really tell that the touch response on iphone is much quicker when swiping, whilst on the android it has a delay . the gyroscope feels better on the ios also.
Android phones don't face major frame drops
Get a Snapdragon 865, 870 or Dimensity 1200 phones, they give constant 60 fps and the frame drop is between 54-60fps which is barely noticeable
I use OnePlus Nord 2 with Dimensity 1200 processor doesn't drops too much frame rates, maintaining 55-60fps constantly all the time, it may get heated maximum upto 44 degrees in summer but no major frame drops
Advantages of android:
Super fast charging
Better display (no notch unlike iPhones)
Side-loading of apps and customisations of UI, launcher etc and even flashing custom ROMs allowed
More options and affordability (from budget to expensive)
Advantages of iPhones:
Better and smoother software experience
More efficient, gives more from lesser hardware (But this difference is getting lesser year by year and the latest Android 12 has made this difference much lesser)
Long term software support (But android brand samsung has promised 4 years of major software updates and 5 years of security updates, so Android is catching up iPhones in terms of updates)

Turn off gyroscope and try to control recoil on both phones. You’ll find lower recoil in iPhone.

You’re 100% correct, it’s optimisation via game engine. If it’s UE4/5 they have special device profiles per iOS and Android. For my mobile indie games on UE, I generally spend more time on iOS profiles and tweaking. Android I keep 3 tiers, low, medium and high devices. Since there’s way more droid devices it’s hella hard creating profiles for devices. iOS is a bit easier since there’s fewer. I’m sure the game devs do similar.

One thing I notice is the game display resolution/aspect ratio. Now I see why some people prefer playing on iPad, the TPP view of the character lets you see almost full body figure, while on phones, it extend only to the hip part of character's body. The view of the guns in ADS mode is noticeably different too on iPad. Pause the video at 6:35 and look closely at the character in Android and iPhone. More space between the backpack and edge of screen in iPhone vs Android. You can see the character's hip more in iPhone vs Android. Assuming that the character's spawn position is unchanged.
But one can also see the window in the left in android but not on iphone , so the camera is placed differently .

I've never been a fan of expensive iPhones. But the constant 60fps issue is for real. And it impacts your gameplay in competitive lobby a lot!
My OnePlus 6t supports 60fps, but causes frame drops many a times while iPhone 11 is buttery smooth.

It's not just iPhone "optimization," another issue is that the android and iPhone versions of the game are written in different programming languages. They are at best completely different games that happen to interact with each other.
These two versions of the game are developed in parallel.
