Rabbi, I would like to highlight the antisemitism statement in the Bible about prophet Ismael (pbuh). It is also untrue that Ismael is not part of God's covenant. “And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Genesis 16:10-12 In Samaritan Torah: והוא יהיה פרא אדם-ידו בכל ויד כל בו ועל פני כל אחיו ישכן In those days, there were no vowels, the meanings have changed: wild man/donkey = פֶּרֶא (H6501) should be fruitful פָּרָא (H6500) against should be all/in all כֹּל (H3605) So, the real meaning should be: "And he will be fertile of a man, His hand will be with everyone, and everyone's hand will be with him, and he will live among all his brothers." Genesis 16:10-12 This is so true in history. Islam saved world Jewry - read the article by David J Wasserstein is the Eugene Greener Jr Professor of Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University.
Don't worry about Ishmael, Baba. God has promised to preserve the Jewish people: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in Judgement thou shalt condemn." (Isaiah 54:17). As Maimonides said in his Epistle to Yemen: "We are in possession of the divine assurance that Israel is indestructible and imperishable, and will always continue to be a pre-eminent community. As it is impossible for God to cease to exist, so is Israel's destruction and disappearance from the world unthinkable, as we read, "For I the Lord change not, and ye, O sons of Jacob, will not be consumed."(Malachi 3:6). "And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My Covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God." (Leviticus 26:44). I am not a Jew but for me the historical preservation of the Jewish people and the rebirth of the nation of Israel is the only proof I need to know that God exists and that the Jews are the chosen people. ❤
