I still remember when you guys first moved into this place and how excited you were for finally having so much more space. If i remember correctly there was even more space available than you guys had plans for at the time. It's so cool to see how much you've expanded on such a short time and are already moving to the 3rd location!
When you zoomed out my mind was blown. This whole time you gave an illusion that you had way more space than it seemed. Glad you guys are upgrading, you definitely needed the extra space!
Also seeing that their livestream zone isn’t far away from the main zone is intriguing! Not only does it expand our room scope, it even connects two previously separate room scopes!
"I don't think that's going to happen at the new place." This reminds me of something I heard back in the day along the lines of, "we'll never use a gigabyte of storage" or "why would anyone need more than a gigabyte of ram". 🤣
As a Tech Geezer, I can remember a time when we could not imagine how we would ever fill a 5MB hard drive. That was in 1983. We built and used the first commercially installed LAN. Total Cost??? About $40,000. We had 13 computers on the network and had to write all of our own pipes as there were no NOSs yet. We were approaching the storage space of the Corporate Mainframe at 65MB. ; - ). @@dumpicus_maximus The next one. Always another piece to progress. ;-) Actually, I really liked it when we dumped the old MFM disk controllers and went to IDE. It made building computers far easier.
I used to work in a TV studio, where we had a sets in two of the corners of the main studio, one was always set up because of daily news, and the other, all the sets were on wheels where we can quickly swap out the sets. One looked like a kitchen inside a home, another for talk show, and one looks like a home library, etc. My thought is, having multiple workbenches on wheels, so you can leave things in progress on a bench, and just roll it out for an empty bench for a live broadcast.
Just trying to wrap my head around the idea of going through all the things I've learned from this channel throughout the course of the channel and my personal life as a "computer engineer (8 years)". I'm honored to have found this channel right when I needed it. Thanks tech Jesus :D and the whole team keep crushing
Not sure how much it would help you guys, but I've found "bus tubs" to be a game-changer for WIP projects and conserving bench space. They're big enough that I can put everything disassembled into a tub and move that to the side or on a shelf, and easily grab it when i need it again. Still allows me to have everything apart, staged for assembly, or in pieces for troubleshooting but out of the way of my main work area.
"It's in my top 500 greatest programs of all time"....I can't tell if Andrew is joking or serious about being able to remember 500 different programs but it's something I can completely believe given anyone working at GN right now. Love the insight to the GN operation. Keep up the great work guys.

I hear they're really good at delivering defective products in the short to medium range. I whole heartedly suggest you use trebuchets to RMA those defective power supplies.
This studio will forever be stuck in my head as the place I went to for comparing specs on my first build, hopefully the next one will be even better for you guys. Nice to see how the channel has grown over the years from being a niche to being the go to for in depth analysis on hardware, and setting a gold standard for review ethics.
I love how you guys keep legacy hardware for testing and comparisons down the road. Fabulous attention to detail is what keeps us coming back for more. Love it and best of luck with the new studio!
Very interesting :) you should do these walk-arounds a lil bit more often) not once in 5 years) maybe once in 6 months could do. Really interesting to see people who work on all this content for the channel. Interesting and nice to see progress.

It's great to see how things have blossomed so much requiring another move. Such a good thing to see the GN brand grow and expand into new areas.
Moving into a bigger space is always a mixed blessing. I moved my office into my son's bedroom when he moved out. I was sure it would be enough space. Danmed books and an expanding computer hobby... This reminds me that I just moved into a much larger room. The work started during the summer. I painted the walls in August. A fresh cat cable was installed into the room on November 3, IIRC. And slept in it for the first time on my birthday, November 5th. This is in the same house. I outgrew the other room!

It's really amazing how far you've come with your channel and the production values. I remember a video you did 5-6 years ago showing off the new set you were using for GN videos. "I bought two chairs and I'm really excited about that!" And now you're really a professional studio doing serious content that pretty much nobody else is willing or able to do. Especially with all the old reliable tech reviewers selling out to soulless corporate money.
Congrats on growing large enough to have to expand a second time. I have been informed and entertained by your videos for a while and look forward to what you can do in the new space.
I manage a hybrid specialist shop in TX and it's interesting to see the similarities in occupied space or being unable to decide where to put things lol. So much of our shelves are taken up by HV batteries for different makes/models, as well as inverters/dc-to-dc converter modules. Then, in our old testing room we have dozens upon dozens of sets of cells that went through many charge/discharge cycles to determine their remaining capacity and if they will be viable or not to be reused in a refurbished battery. On the opposite side of the same room are nuts, bolts, screws, and a ton of other types of hardware that are needed when reassembling batteries or just for DIY stuff around the shop. I have to use unoccupied office space to store extra stuff because our location was set up with the intention of initially being a call center + shop combo, with 65% of the total space being office/kitchen areas, and the remaining 35% being an actual shop with a garage bay door. Seeing as it's only myself and 2 other techs, it would've been much better for us if it were the other way around, haha. Though we finally may be moving soon, (but it's not my call per se, I'm just the manager--not the owner) hopefully to a new location with space better suited for our needs.

I've always loved tech rooms like these. Have worked at various "large and well funded corporations" and they actually don't really look any different than GN Studio here :). One of them had a $50,000 (2D) specialized printer in it as it was a multimedia lab, but otherwise same thing - a bunch of enthusiasts, nice chairs, and cool equipment. For most of my career (sadly) I was a manager or other leader so I didn't get to do too much hands on, but I always enjoyed getting out of the office and hanging out in one of these labs.
Happy for you all at GN a well deserved upgrade for all the hardwork you guys put in . I just want to say thanks for all the amazing reviews and benchmarks over the years with many more to come.
I guess don't watch your videos as much as I should I remember when you moved into this place. I haven't watched a lot since but I still have my black and silver limited tee and wear it of occasion love you guys
I think this video really highlights the work and time you guys spend on giving us the excellent review videos. Really shows that it's not like you have one system, do the testing and the presents the results. I like this type of content as a complement to the "normal" review videos.
I wish I could spend a day or two helping you out with your move. Unfortunately I live across the pond so that's a no go. Anyways, thanks for the tour! Hopefully it will be a longer while until you move out of the new one.

It makes me happy to see GN's growth through good honest hard work. I'm excited to see them take it to the next level with the new space.
Happy for you all at GN a well deserved upgrade for all the hardwork you guys put in . I just want to say thanks for all the amazing reviews and benchmarks over the years with many more to come.
Man does time fly. I remember when you were moving in here
feels like a fam moving places as a long time subscriber
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
Amazing to you see you continue to grow and excel! Good luck with the new office!
I guess don't watch your videos as much as I should I remember when you moved into this place. I haven't watched a lot since but I still have my black and silver limited tee and wear it of occasion love you guys
Your office collects screw balls instead of dust bunnies.. That is a new one to me!
Here's to many more years of success. You guys seriously deserve it after all the awesome work you put in.
More space is always nice! Hope the move isn’t too painful! Love the content!
Good luck having to moving everything over. That is the hardest part.
Here's to a new era in the GN Cinematic Universe.
But with so much space at the new place they can pile it in the big main area and sort through it finally!
So excited for your company guys hope the move is smooth! Congratulations on everything and hopefully it wont get cluttered so fast.
