@@dritson5255 Eh, I think they've lost their looks starting from the 90's despite the W140 Series still being a AMAZING looking car in comparison to the modern ones. To me the W126 Design is the ultimatum of Mercedes. But personally, I find the W140 Coupe to be ugly, especially when you compare it to the W126 Coupes. The only modern Merc I like in styling of today is the modern S-class (Not the electric one mind you.) The front is beginning to get that same cool look i know from our good old w126's again. And I like it.
This is proper old school with linear power right through the rev range seemingly endless. Not a crap 4 cylinder engine with a turbo bolted on making fake noises that has to be thrashed to go fast.
Great video as always! Your videos are just awesome. I really like the high quality of each and every one. What you offer is very unique and enjoyable. Please keep up the great work and keep the videos coming, your channel is really going to do well! And thank you for making these videos, I’m excited to see what else you’ll bring for us 😄
Thank you James, I really appreciate the support as always! I endeavor to make the videos high quality as best as I can so that the cars can be showcased better and more appreciated - I'm glad you like the content. I will try to be more active with my upload schedule even if I am rather short on time these days. On a little side note, I have really been enjoying your recent content lately, especially your car event 'vlogs' with all of those spectacular cars (that W140 S600 on Amelia Island was stunning!). It is also very exciting that your channel has grown much lately - really well deserved and I am confident that this is only the beginning. Keep up the amazing work as well, take care!
@@Auto_Lore You are certainly succeeding at making these videos of high quality! It will definitely serve your channel well in the future. And I've been short on time these days too haha, but I've been trying to devote more time to the channel this year than I have before. Thank you very much!! That was my first time at Amelia Island or at a car show of that nature, so I decided to bring my video equipment along to record the experience and the truly incredible cars. It was definitely a fantastic experience and would recommend going to shows like that if you get the chance! Thank you very much. Once again, I'm very much looking forward to seeing all your future videos 😁
What a machiiiineeee!! I love the 140 Mercedes chassis, they were trully built like tanks. So relaxing to drive. That car comes from Spain, right? It passed its last annual inspection in 2008, but it looks mint!
It is truly an impressive feat of engineering and there are very few makes and models that can match the Mercedes-Benz cars of this era in terms of build quality and comfort. You have a keen eye! The car was originally registered in Germany but spent the majority of its life in Mallorca (Spain) as the gentleman who bought it lived there, hence the Spanish annual inspection sticker on the windshield. It was then brought back to Germany around 2010 and a few years later sold and exported to Sweden, where I bought it. I would say the car is in decent shape - it only has ~100,000 km on the clock and three owners in total, so it has definitely been well taken care of and driven sparingly. Although it might appear to be mint on the surface, there is something really mysterious about its general condition. I'm planning on making a video about that in the near future, you will then see what I mean.
@@Auto_Lore I totally agree! It might sound like a cliché, but they were truly built to such high standards that almost nothing matches them. Very interesting story, that car is a traveller. I'm looking forward to watch that video and find out about the mistery. Cheers!
Thank you for watching, it is indeed a terrific and special car. You are definitely right that it is louder inside compared to the average W140, especially at higher speeds. The reason for this is that the passenger window is not properly sealed, so the sound insulation is not nearly as good as it is supposed to be due to excessive wind noise. It might also have to do with the sensitivity of the microphone.
this is the last old school mercedes the greatest with glorious v12 what a car if have one take care of it the new mercedes is crap do not have the quality of true mercedes like w140
The idea has struck me, but the issue is the cost and that it is difficult to come by haha. Isn't the exhaust custom made in Japan, or are there easier ways to make it sound like a Pagani Zonda?
Unfortunately it is, yes. I have been looking into ways to fix it but they all seem difficult and expensive - truly a shame since it is such a neat feature of this car.
In my test drive videos, I want to showcase the car and the driving to be the focus to make it as much of an authentic experience as possible. I do have other videos with commentary such as reviews and also plan on making similar content with this car in the near future. Thank you for watching!
Haha, it is actually more fuel efficient on the highway than one might think considering that it is a 6.0 V12. I have recorded a fuel consumption challenge video of this car that I intend to post to the channel in the near future - the results were quite surprising!
Where is Greta Tumberg?, driving an MB with a 6.0-liter engine in Sweden is a crime. Where is the Green Party and where is the censure of the driver by the Swedish society
The quality in these 140's be it coupe or sedan is unreal 👌, pinnacle years of Mercedes engineering
New Mercs look really nice in comparison but they arent made as well as the old ones. Fact.
My first MB was a 1996 E320 and watching this brought up memories of my first ride in it...
Its not so easy as you think. Old electronics is a huge expensive problem on these

W140 - best Car from Mercedes until these days

@@dialyufo Very nice, the S500 is also a great W140 model.
The 140’s are the only vehicles I am aware of that are calm and thrilling at the same time.
I'd also say the Mercedes cl c215 and c216

Built like King Tiger tank. Awesome car. Not for everyone.
Lovely car, it looks brand new.
That V12 is hardly making any effort. You can feel the tranquility and sheer sure footedness.
