& we were hyped when the mangaka announced the Hokkaido arc..... & Then came reports of the mangaka having actual c.p on his hard drives, stuff he used the profits for the manga & it gets worse, the amount of c.p on his hard drives was so much, the officers were shocked that he would of been a distributor, not a consumer, so how much c.p took up space on those hard drives: terabytes, this is akin to a famous science RUclipsr with same amount of c.p
Kenshin will always be my absolute favorite. It was amazing then, it's amazing now, and it still has more to say than the majority of anime then and now.
I´m glad people still recognize the value of Ruroken as one of the biggest shonen of all time. It´d be nice if you make second part analyizing the Jinchuu arc and the decline of the anime series after Kyoto arc. You can also talk about the spectacular OVAs. Oh and i like your editing!

The fight between Kenshin and Sato at the start of the Kyoto Arc is one of my all-time favorite anime fights. It's a viscerally brutal slugfest between two heavyweights who beat each other to a bloody pulp, as opposed to most of Kenshin's earlier fights where he pretty obviously held the advantage. It's a tactical masterpiece as both men are forced to react to rapid swings of momentum with extremely limited options. Although the fight technically ends in a draw, Kenshin emphatically LOST it on a philosophical level- he gave into temptation and fully reverted to his Hitokiri Battosai persona. And lastly, it brilliantly set up Kenshin's personal conflict for the remainder of the arc: are his only options to become a monster again or to fail? Kenshin's burn out in the Jinchuu arc is one of the best "arc" of all manga. We went so deep with him, seeing how hurt he was... Shonen is not only about physical fights... but mental too !

Kenshin was one of the first anime that I got vested in when it originally aired. I'll forever go on record as saying the sakuga in the first few seasons are amazing and still hold up as a series from the late 90s. Should note that even as a disabled former missionary brat I've always felt a deep connection to Kenshin.

@@Guaz There are couple good filler arcs. The pirate arc is good and I'm in the minority here, but I like the Christianity arc after Kyoto arc too. Megumi has a filler episode that's pretty good too and the hot springs episode is hilarious.
Yes, the Kyoto arc is by miles the best Arc in anime. And Shishio is the Chef's kiss of villains... OMG, my favorite villain ever! I've watched this series literally like 5-6 times, and it's the only anime I actually paid for with my own money. I bought the whole collection, and the live action movies are amazing too!
I'm starting to see it and I'm loving it but I must say that the arc of megumi and the oniwabanshu has notable differences with the manga, some good other bad I hope that in some future they will make a remake of this series as with hxh and fma since the manga features superior narrative
This is my favorite manga or anime off all time no anime can beat the MUSIC the EMOTION the build up/hype around it on every episode and i can for sure say it the lenght of the introduction on every anime character is very well thought and i like that every episode is only 20 mins for every episode it sits perfectly not too long or too short it just a good sweet spot.The story is just sooo good that u wanna rewatch the whole anime/manga over and over again for years and the way they tell the story is just outstanding. Every once in a while I randomly search RUclips for ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ just to see what pops up. From time to time I stumble upon gems like this video! 👍🏼 I’ve been wanting to make a video for a long time about this amazing story, explaining what I took from the show, and why it deeply resonates with me. Perhaps someday I will, but for now, videos like yours express so many of those reasons so clearly! Rurouni Kenshin has been my favorite anime/manga since 2003 when I was introduced to it via Toonami. It deserves so much more credit than it gets, but I’m happy there are others out there that recognize it as one of the greatest! I personally Love the Lore of Bleach cuz of how dark and deep it goes . But considering it's time Rurouni Kenshin still holds very strong to this day. Idk if it's the nostalgic factor like Dragon Ball is for most of people but Rurouni Kenshin will always be in my top List , and if you watch 3 parts prequal movies how Kenshi got his scar it becomes even better.

But I'll give you a free philosophy class: The Kyoto arc is one I love because I watched it has it aired on toonami and it was a treat however it's one that with repeated viewings has become melancholic and down right tragic because at the end of the day two aspects of the opposing ideologies facing Japan during the late-post Meiji restoration era setting this takes place in and that's the darwinism of Shishio and the more samurai centric mentality that Saito had which stems from his time has a Boshin guard and maybe a bit before that when the samurai were being depowered politically has a force in Japan due to the emperor consolidating power and westernizing the country and burecractic system bit by bit which in term would be needed to then push into the Japanese empire phase of Japan's existence later on. Shishio is a believer in this and sees what Japan will become in the coming years and wants to use the tools by which the west has harnessed it's power and empires to catapult Japan into this darwinist society all the while Saito who embodied the samurai tradition and who is probably an isolationist and a believe of the samurai cast probably would not agree with it at first until maybe he later realizes that this is the only way by which Japan will be free of any foreign influence. The idea being that Shishio will use the empire to spread his ideology and then show the world how much more powerful he is and how weaker everyone who does not fight and become powerful is, Kenshin is a refutation of that however, he embodies the powerful benevolent warrior of old and the traditions of the past but he Understands that this is now a Japan with a more illuminated path forward where men are no longer entrapped in a cast, the Shogun are gone and forgotten and the common man who can't fight for himself needs help from people like that who are displaced and are trying to find a new course or trying to help someone else who's found there own idea of a solution. Kenshin is seen has a weakling by him for this because Makoto Shishio only sees these people has pawns to be thrown into the fire and burnt for his benefit while Kenshin sees the future ahead and the potential and he sees what the west has become based off of the new ideal of christian kindness and so he turns the young Makoto apprentice because it's a new form of looking at the world and it's the same thing Saito saw but only he took his time in the Boshin war and understood that the men who are burecratic do not seem to be as honorable as the samurai, they have no loyalty to the country but rather to themselves and there wealth and he kills the politician because in his world view there is no such thing as corruption because it is stamped out and it fits perfectly with Japan's moto of "one nation under glorious harmony." He is a man protecting the weak like Kenshin but he dies with Shishio because I think deep down he Understands there's no world waiting for him beyond that bridge, there's just taking the only logical path that leads you too and that's what the Japanese empire got. Shishio won, he won because politics at play beyond kenshin's power to change were in effect, he won because Saito admitted within himself that he was right and that japan did need to become a world power, he even grew disgusted with what Japan had become and knew the burecratic system doing away with the samurai would just usher in a different kind of tyranny where men like him would be hunted and he fooled Kenshin into believing he had won and that japan would never become the heinous war crime committing empire it would ultimately become. Makoto Shishio won in the long run and the Kyoto arc is proof of that because despite being an anime samurai sword wielding shonen this is in fact a very cleverly disguised allegory for the rise of japanese ultra imperialist tyranny which just like Shishio would shine brighter than the sun and ultimately burn out and fade away into a cynders of ashes with just one fateful flight over an unsuspecting town.
getting these as a kid in the early 2000s in manga form was crazy expensive then. lots of begging and saving up. I still have them. Kenshin Himura and Vash the Stampede will always be my dudes. 4:43 lol the fake vash fight
I remembered watching this back in the day. And the ending got me depressed so bad. Thats why marvels captain America getting old at the end left me so much satisfaction.
Why can't shonen have the romantism and adventure that classic shonen used to have. Everything now a days has to derail into some super power godly character battle shonen archetypes. There is more to this genre then just pitting characters against each other in 1v1's for extended periods of time.
I would like to see Rurouni Kenshin REMASTERED! And not to end at Kyoto arc, but to go till the actual end (Manga ending)! I can only hope for remaster to be announced. If Shaman King can get remaster, Rurouni Kenshin can too :D I loved the video!!

I recently started watching Rurouni Kenshin and it's so refreshing compared all these generic shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece and Bleach. Not saying i hate those shows One Piece is one of my favorite anime's but it's still pretty generic. and I love Dragon Ball and Naruto as well but Shippuden is a different story. Shippuuden lost what made Naruto special and Naruto became the complete opposite. And 1 thing that i've realized is people like Naruto not because of how he got where he is today but because HE IS where he is today. People like him cuz he's OP
Ya know what Im just realizing. When senkaku was talking to soujiro about kenshin i thought soujiro had killed the bird cause it just so happened to appear at the right time. But now after rewatching it for like the 10th time (no cap lol) found out it was senkaku he killed. I honestly don't know how i missed that for so long lol
I read and download mangas like naruto hunterhunter onepice and etc .and deleted it after finish reading but rorouni kenshin is the only one manga i cant delete i dont know why but i think beacause it was the goat manga i ever read..
This world has been purposely set up so that we falter and lose heart. What the creator did was completely wrong, but he alone will have to atone for his mistakes. We all eventually mess up, maybe not as bad as him, but somewhere down the line, this world gets the better of us and at some point we will hold the weight of mistakes and regrets on our shoulders. The show itself is still an amazing piece of work, and holds many morals and lessons that can be appreciated
Just pirate it and enjoy it don’t keep that mindset It was hard for me at first but I learned to separate the art from the artist and enjoy the anime the way it is. Knowing I’m not supporting him. Since, I’m pirating it.
Kenshin is a GOAT among Shonen protagonist in my opinion, if you don't mind older anime I'd say giving this one is worth a shot. I think it's always dope when a character can beat people's asses no problem but prioritizes taking the higher road.

Rurouni Kenshin has been my favorite anime/manga since 2003 when I was introduced to it via Toonami. I personally Love the Lore of Bleach cuz of how dark and deep it goes . But considering it's time Rurouni Kenshin still holds very strong to this day. Idk if it's the nostalgic factor like Dragon Ball is for most of people but Rurouni Kenshin will always be in my top List , and if you watch 3 parts prequal movies how Kenshi got his scar it becomes even better.

The Kyoto arc is one I love because I watched it has it aired on toonami and it was a treat however it's one that with repeated viewings has become melancholic and down right tragic because at the end of the day two aspects of the opposing ideologies facing Japan during the late-post Meiji restoration era setting this takes place in and that's the darwinism of Shishio and the more samurai centric mentality that Saito had which stems from his time has a Boshin guard and maybe a bit before that when the samurai were being depowered politically has a force in Japan due to the emperor consolidating power and westernizing the country and burecractic system bit by bit which in term would be needed to then push into the Japanese empire phase of Japan's existence later on.
Shishio is a believer in this and sees what Japan will become in the coming years and wants to use the tools by which the west has harnessed it's power and empires to catapult Japan into this darwinist society all the while Saito who embodied the samurai tradition and who is probably an isolationist and a believe of the samurai cast probably would not agree with it at first until maybe he later realizes that this is the only way by which Japan will be free of any foreign influence. The idea being that Shishio will use the empire to spread his ideology and then show the world how much more powerful he is and how weaker everyone who does not fight and become powerful is, Kenshin is a refutation of that however, he embodies the powerful benevolent warrior of old and the traditions of the past but he Understands that this is now a Japan with a more illuminated path forward where men are no longer entrapped in a cast, the Shogun are gone and forgotten and the common man who can't fight for himself needs help from people like that who are displaced and are trying to find a new course or trying to help someone else who's found there own idea of a solution.
Kenshin is seen has a weakling by him for this because Makoto Shishio only sees these people has pawns to be thrown into the fire and burnt for his benefit while Kenshin sees the future ahead and the potential and he sees what the west has become based off of the new ideal of christian kindness and so he turns the young Makoto apprentice because it's a new form of looking at the world and it's the same thing Saito saw but only he took his time in the Boshin war and understood that the men who are burecratic do not seem to be as honorable as the samurai, they have no loyalty to the country but rather to themselves and there wealth and he kills the politician because in his world view there is no such thing as corruption because it is stamped out and it fits perfectly with Japan's moto of "one nation under glorious harmony." He is a man protecting the weak like Kenshin but he dies with Shishio because I think deep down he Understands there's no world waiting for him beyond that bridge, there's just taking the only logical path that leads you too and that's what the Japanese empire got.
Shishio won, he won because politics at play beyond kenshin's power to change were in effect, he won because Saito admitted within himself that he was right and that japan did need to become a world power, he even grew disgusted with what Japan had become and knew the burecratic system doing away with the samurai would just usher in a different kind of tyranny where men like him would be hunted and he fooled Kenshin into believing he had won and that japan would never become the heinous war crime committing empire it would ultimately become.
Makoto Shishio won in the long run and the Kyoto arc is proof of that because despite being an anime samurai sword wielding shonen this is in fact a very cleverly disguised allegory for the rise of japanese ultra imperialist tyranny which just like Shishio would shine brighter than the sun and ultimately burn out and fade away into a cynders of ashes with just one fateful flight over an unsuspecting town.
getting these as a kid in the early 2000s in manga form was crazy expensive then. lots of begging and saving up. I still have them. Kenshin Himura and Vash the Stampede will always be my dudes.

Why can't shonen have the romantism and adventure that classic shonen used to have. Everything now a days has to derail into some super power godly character battle shonen archetypes. There is more to this genre then just pitting characters against each other in 1v1's for extended periods of time.

I recently started watching Rurouni Kenshin and it's so refreshing compared all these generic shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece and Bleach. Not saying i hate those shows One Piece is one of my favorite anime's but it's still pretty generic. and I love Dragon Ball and Naruto as well but Shippuden is a different story. Shippuuden lost what made Naruto special and Naruto became the complete opposite. And 1 thing that i've realized is people like Naruto not because of how he got where he is today but because HE IS where he is today. People like him cuz he's OP

Ya know what Im just realizing. When senkaku was talking to soujiro about kenshin i thought soujiro had killed the bird cause it just so happened to appear at the right time. But now after rewatching it for like the 10th time (no cap lol) found out it was senkaku he killed. I honestly don't know how i missed that for so long lol
I read and download mangas like naruto hunterhunter onepice and etc .and deleted it after finish reading but rorouni kenshin is the only one manga i cant delete i dont know why but i think beacause it was the goat manga i ever read..

Yeah. Even the live action films (the recent ones) got affected as some people refuse to see this franchise again because of the creator.
This world has been purposely set up so that we falter and lose heart. What the creator did was completely wrong, but he alone will have to atone for his mistakes. We all eventually mess up, maybe not as bad as him, but somewhere down the line, this world gets the better of us and at some point we will hold the weight of mistakes and regrets on our shoulders. The show itself is still an amazing piece of work, and holds many morals and lessons that can be appreciated

Kenshin is a GOAT among Shonen protagonist in my opinion, if you don't mind older anime I'd say giving this one is worth a shot. I think it's always dope when a character can beat people's asses no problem but prioritizes taking the higher road.

I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!

I use Premiere to edit and in newer uploads I’ve been implementing After Effects as well. You can use Davinci Resolve if you want a free alternative for editing software.
