If you have otters frequenting a pond this size, you will have essentially no fish. An otter will eat a major portion of its own body weight in fish every day and will clean your pond out and you generally never see an otter alone. You have to decide which is most important to you, fish or otters. You can't have both.

After seeing this video I treated my pond with 1 pound of flume guard but I split it into 8 gallons instead of just the four. Half of it I circled the pond spraying the perimeter as far out as it would go and then got into the boat and sprayed the other 4 gallons. After 10 days it was pretty clear. Definitely better than the 2 gallons of sonar RTU I applied prior to that. Thanks for the inspiration it’s working for me.

I think you are applying way too much.... Instructions say 2.5 teaspoons per gallon....that's like 1.6 oz for a four gallon sprayer. At those rates, you probably killed the fish...

The fish kill occurred in 2020 before herbicides were being used. No fish kills happened during spraying. Thanks for your comment and concern.
