I suck ass at expressing how i feel towards someone i love but Hozier translates it so much for me, i feel the lyrics so much towards my boyfriend. Some of the songs Hozier had written aren't exactly romantic, but god i can tell you how much he's like if Hozier's lyrical skills and poetry came to life as a human being, it's like Hozier wrote him but the melodic and voices, the YEARNING, the guitar always having such a complicated chords for the songs looks so much like him. He's written by Hozier, and he looks like every single element of a Hozier song that made the songs sounds so spiritual and breathtaking and endearing in the first place. Sometimes hearing Hozier's songs can make me tear up by how amazing it is, everytime i look at him or even think about him, and not to be dramatic but i just feel so much love for him to the point i tear up. I don't know if "too much" love is even the right phrase to explain it. I can hear Hozier's songs for hours, and i can look at him for hours. One time i catch myself looking at his picture for i don't know how long, but the oddest thing is that i didn't even got tired of it, i didn't even realise how long was i starring. There's also this sense of peace, yearning, safe, strength, gentle yet admiration of this song, i don't know if it's because that's the Hozier effect or this song just reminds me of how i feel about him. I can't fathom how someone like me can love every single bit of another individual and i can feel so much love. It's actually been so long since I've genuinely feel this much love, family ain't on the list, friends maybe but never to the point i can't even comprehend it. He's amazing and so insanely awesome, that i could actually even say I love him. It's always hard for me to say affirmations (yet Words Of Affirmation is my love language) but because of how he loves me, it was enough to break out of my generational habits to say three words just for him to hear it because i want him to know that. Humans are so unpredictable sometimes, even to themselves. Thank you Hozier for writing songs that is helping me explain my feelings to someone who's so important to me.
