Hi Wayne nice Cabbages great Job seeds looking good for next year too Here is a good tip for cutting weed control membrane rather than using scissors or Stanley type knife get yourself gas soldering iron craft set with Hot knife attachment . It works a treat. I've sent you a link and photo what I use . The gas lasts years too hope you find it useful. Regards Dave o
Some cracking Cabbages there Wayne and as for the Nazareth Carrot very nice the Sweet Candle was very handy to get out, and a good selection of Seeds for 2025, i have always liked your pick for seeds every year. Anyway look after that Cough and Cold get some Olbas Oil from the Chemist and put a few drops on some kitchen roll and near you by the settee or chair whatever you sit in, and a few drops on your pillow or next to it on your bed and just breath in, it will clear your cold in no time. Hi Barry, I have decided as I said in this video just to do Nazareth only for a change, the cabbage have been very good this year I think this is the best year for them in a long time, as for my cold it is a lot better now and thank you for your advice. All the best Wayne.
Great cabbages there, my carrots were abysmal this year ( sweet candle & autumn king 2 ) my sweet candle last year were nice, big and straight, My parsnips are great ( same as you have ordered Gladiator F1). I managed to get hold of some Kelsae ( if you want to grow big onions from seed you could also try Ailsae or Ailsa Craig ) Hope you get better soon. New sub mate 👍
Hi Jimmy and thank you for subin to me, I have had no problem with my carrots but I have had problems with parsnips but I'm still going to try again this year. All the best Wayne.
Hi Wayne, as you know I have had Kelsae plug plants for the past few years and they are good quality. Maybe try Robinsons Mammoth if you want to grow from seed. I may give the Nazareth carrots a try next season. Look at Moles seed to buy in lager quantities. Much cheaper than buying multiple small packets….. I buy my Hurst Greenshaft and spring onions from there👍🏻
Hi Nigel, thank you for your advice about bulk seeds I will look them up, Robinsons Mammoth and Exhibition are ones I have thought about, as you can see Nazareth are a very good carrot and I don't think you would be disappointed if you grow them next year. All the best Wayne.
Your not l to believe this but all that is in the barrels in multipurpose compost. I do sieve the top 8 to 10 inches but that is all I do. All the best Wayne.
Hi Wayne we will be growing nazareth next season after your recommendation see them last season you grew and this season look great, we buy our Kelse onions as plug plants do very well.
