  • Today, I'm up at the Bear Wash car wash up in La Vernia TX off Bluebonnet Rd where I'll be going through an older PDQ Laserwash 360 (a system among many that I've barely ever featured on my channel since they're weirdly hard to find for me). This system was installed somewhere in the early to mid 2010s replacing an old Laserwash 4000 (side note: many of the older PDQ Laserwash systems like the 4000 and M5 could easily be changed over to the 360 over the years since they basically share the same pressure pump) that was there since the wash was first built. This system has seen some upgrades over the years as you can see by some of the signage being updated and the arm cover having a 360 Plus arm cover (which initially threw me off at first, but thanks to YT user Top Wash James [ / @topwashjames ] for confirming this to be a regular 360 unit), the overglow unit on the wash gantry, and possibly even the lava falls kit (though this may have already been optioned with it when it was new). I bought the top dollar wash, which did come out to $14 at the time of making this video, and wash quality I would give this a 7/10, undercarriage did very good, the 1st pass of presoak was pretty good, and this particular system was programmed to give a high pressure rinse cycle after that first pass of presoak, which it did excellent (with a front and rear double pass), the 2nd pass of presoak was good, as was the 2nd high pressure rinse cycle (with front and rear double pass there too), tri-foam pass was decent though not the best if I'm being honest, the overhead rinse cycle did good, the lava wax application didn't do anything (and not that because the system was out of chemicals, but I believe it may actually be a programming issue), that rinse cycle did good, though it really didn't wash off anything, the surface protection pass did good, as was that respective rinse cycle, and the spot free rinse cycle from the wash arm did a great job as well, and lastly, the old style 6 producer Max Air dryers did a decent (a very reluctant "decent") job drying off the vehicle, but I do believe this was during the time when PDQ was still working on the effectiveness of the Max Air dryer setup, before making revisions to the setup in later years (it's good, but it's not the best dryer setup IMO). I hope you enjoy the video and stay tuned for more.
