I think it's a super cool idea to do an investigation inside and during a major conflict. The level of stress and tension for both the players and characters would be threw the roof.
Just finished running Iconoclasts for my group. It's a really interesting campaign, but I feel it needs a bit more content to challenge the Agents as the Sons of War and the Father of War don't pose a direct threat to the players for most of the campaign. I felt a need to add in a couple of other opposing forces to put pressure on the players.
I was tempted to pick this up but I've seen criticism of later stages in the campaign that become a "resource spreadsheet simulator" for the players. Is that actually valid?
@@mikenolan73 No, I don't agree with that. But there is a long stretch where the players are expected to mostly be doing backroom trades with various intelligence groups, and the campaign book has 10-15 pages dedicated specifically to how to resolve those types of interactions. Personally, I ignored much of that and focused on developing interesting spy thriller scenes off my own inspiration. If you expect the requisitioning rules to produce all your playable surface, you'll have weeks where the players do nothing but roll requests and wait for news to see if they've been fired due to fallout. You need to do quite a bit of legwork to make the spycraft stuff engaging.
What a campaign !........that is some great writing.....and yet again the Hands of Forbidden Knowledge is here in this form ........to spare it...... the world trembles.
Hi. Thanks for the support. Next up is The Lightbringers for RQ, then the Investigators Wallet for CoC - after that it will be either part two of Iconoclasts OR The Labyrinth part three (depending on what I get asked for). Don’t forget, there is an ad-free version of all my videos for channel supporters on my Discord (if you didn’t get an invite, let me know).
Only channel supporters (Patreon/RUclips) get access to part two until I hit part four (I have a policy of a two-video gap). Same with God's Teeth, same with The Labyrinth.
Really considering getting this especially since Adam Scott Glancy wrote it. Otherwise, it has been really hard to feel the love for DG lately because Mr Detwiller does not have the self-regulation to not isolate gamers with divergent ideologies. I don't get the sales strategy there and wonder if others at ArcDream have asked him to cool it a bit.
Honest question here (as I'm less familiar with all of the DG products than most), but what do you mean by "does not have the self-regulation to isolate gamers with divergent ideologies"?

When Bud does Delta Green somehow everything is not alright anymore..... and it is not for sometime afterwards....( silent scream).
When Bud does Delta Green ... it sounds real... well... OMG ... It is real!

Glad you're finally reviewing this mini-campaign. "Iconoclasts" is the Delta Green version of Call of Cthulhu's "Masks of Nyarlathotep" 👍🏼
Enjoying it thus far.
That opening threw me off. Fascinating case.
Bud has a flare for the dramatic and apocalyptic.
I thought the first four lines of the adhan were particularly appropriate for this scenario.
I have not finished the vid but I am so stoked because I start running this campaign in January!
What an intro! Nice work Bud.
Glad you enjoyed it. And the Arabic words of the adhan are particularly poignant for the scenario.
Bud's review day is always s good day
Bud, please don’t stop doing videos.
Well, if more people supported me on Patreon and RUclips membership I would be able to devote the time to doing more...
Hey Bud, just joined your P
atreon! Looking forward to Part 2!

Great! When you plan to do second part?
The second part is done and with RUclips/Patreon supporters. It won’t be released for a while yet.
Love that opening
When are you posting part 2? I am hooked.

@@BudsRPGreview Well you have certainly made a strong argument for subscription
@@Aiodeus Not just that though - you also get access to all of my multipart collections as single, bookmarked ad-free videos too.
Grim stuff, love it!
Hey bud, have you considered doing reveiws of shotgun scenarios?
I might do the upcoming shotgun scenario book…
When does part 2 drop?
It's already available to channel supporters.
I will beginning part 3 soon.

I'm pretty sure they didn't ask him to cool it, no. Ultimately, they sell their product to who they want.
Divergent ideology in what sense?
I can't make heads or tails of it either.
Essentially telling Christians to F off at every opportunity and even suggesting airlocking folk with my beliefs. That's all I mean.
