    Hi Claudia Schimek :) You could work the wrist part shorter (the half of the mentioned length, for example) and leave it as it is (don't fold it up, as in the picture). Then you will have a less bulky cuff :)

Would you suggest fewer pegs on the thumbs for smaller hands? Also what could I have done to tighten the cuff?

    Hi! Thank you for the video! When making the 2nd glove in the counter clockwise direction do you have to do the "cuff" the bshinning part going counter clockwise? I'm slower in that direction and I figured the reason we need to do it in Cc is because of the thumb but I didn't think it would make a difference until I got to the thumb...???? I'm new to all of this and this is my first set of gloves! So I may be missing something! Any advice would great! Thank you!

      Here we made the color change in 6 rounds, so if you don't want to change color you just need to skip this part of the video, work 6 rounds in the same color, and then keep following the tutorial :)

    Thanks for the amazing video!!! I'm going to make these too :) I have a question: today I have made a little piece on a round loom of 24 pegs, but now I see that it's quite big. Is that normal? Maybe it just looks very large, because I tried only a little piece. Would these gloves fit if you have small hands?

    • @Tuteate
      @Tuteate  9 лет назад

      LouisXIV_catlover hi! If your piece is too large or wide, try using a thicker yarn. Thick yarn leaves less space between pegs and stitches, so the result doesn't have "holes" or it's not too loose. Here we used a yarn called Katia Canada

  • @selmismaya
    @selmismaya 7 лет назад +1

    Do you think that if I make the cuffs shorter the fit will be the same? Because I have tiny hands and 10 cm is too long for me but I'm worried if the cuffs are too short then will be too loose

    • @carolinechurch9164
      @carolinechurch9164 5 лет назад

    Good Morning! Do I knit until I get to the top of my pinkey finger before I start to close my mitten? My fingers are long, I just want to make sure before I start finishing my mitten.

      Jackie1113 hi! Yes, if you try your work on and your pinky finger is covered, then you can start finishing the mitten.

    • @Tuteate
      @Tuteate  8 лет назад

      +SonnyNChad4Evar hi! Yes, you skip that part and knit 4 rounds (we worked the changes of colors in 4 rounds I think..), and that's it :)

    Hi there! brand new knitter here. Can I use size 6 "super bulky" wool yarn for this, even though it is recommended for knitting needles sized 13 or 9mm?

    • @brookelee1924
      @brookelee1924 7 лет назад +1

      Or if that's too big, could I use chunky wool yarn for knitting needles sized 10.5 or 6.5mm instead?

      Yes :) if it's not connected to the project, knot the end, sew into project from the inside, and sew up the thumb, and knot the end when you've finished, and snip the end.

    Hello! Is there any way I can thicken the mitten so that snow won't get it? I made these mittens once, and they were gorgeous, of course. But since I live in a very snowy area, the snow got into my mittens and I had frozen hands! Is there any way to fix this?

      +Nabiha Hasan hi! Maybe you could try to make a pair using thicker yarn (like bulky yarn)?
