🥰🥰😍😍
It matches your eye leads 😊
You should say “Blue” in the title
I've been using the Blue Yeti for voice over in all my videos for about 5 years, and the nano for trips like CES etc. It's done well and gotten me quite far, but finally looking to upgrade soon!
Shure mv7 is worth it
Hi Jared I love your videos!!
Try a Shure SM7B, and yes the name is ironic.

@@hannahtaki5150TY for this. This is the side by side comparison we needed.
Killing it yo. Great break down and your musical background really shows. A ton of video people often try explain microphones and get it so wrong but you killed it
Loved this breakdown of the lineup!
I started streaming on a snowball ICE and I’ve done so many auditions with it. Definitely a beginner mic but it’s not horrible! I love that you showcased it since a lot of people just push it to the side. Loved the video!
@@jjnxyz4368 Terrible advice. You should definitely look to upgrade if you're using a snowball. That thing is garbage tier.
@@SavoxYTstill sounds better than the laptop mic
Good video on mic features and the why and how to use them. Always recommending your channel/videos to people aspiring to create and build their own content, etc. If you haven't already a playlist containing all the vids on mics, webcam, lighting, decor, etc things necessary for that creative life would be welcomed by many I bet. Helping ppl with mechanics/process/tech needed is definitely a theme in your content I noticed and other creators do but you're more fun
omg sara it was the video i was looking for! thank you!!!
Always enjoy your videos. Fun and informative, and you actually use the products and show different features and settings. Keep it up! 👍🏾✨
Hey Sara, amazing review video. I think in over 4 months this is the first video I watched entirely. Loved the pace of the video and overall structure. A quick request, can you make a video tutorials on how to use a XRL mic, with the interface and software and syncing in post.
Yes, DEFINITELY add the 'Pop Filter' to those mics. They need them. Also use the Low-Cut filter on the ones which have them, to stop the low 'Thumping' in the sound popping and xplosives.
Absolutely correct at a pop filter or to the way to get around it making those pops is don't talk directly into the mic have it at like a 90 degree angle or you're talking a little bit off access and it will prevent the popping noise
Such a detailed video! I bought a Yeti X and am pretty satisfied with the quality of the mic. Only I didn't realize it's so big!
It's great to see a tech youtuber reviewing this kind of products. I consider you as a tech youtuber, but also lifestyle and creativity
Thanks Sara for doing this video! I purchased the Yeti X for work and the Spark XL for RUclips Voice Overs. I personally think the Spark XL sounds the best, adding a little 👊 when you talk. The Mouse is ultra clear but no chance I need something like that.
Great summary and based on your overview I got the nano. Best fit for what I am doing. Thank you!
Thanks Sara i was looking to upgrade to a nice mic for games and video conferencing. These are some solid picks.
nice outro! and the hair looks amazing
Love these audio vids, right up my alley!
Awesome video, Sara! Very clear and helpful. I love my Yeti, but never tried the software - thanks for heads up. You also have beautiful eyes, respectfully. :)
girl your hair is glowing! great video btw
Great video Sara!, really helpful for me :D I decided for a mic
I can confirm that the Yeti Nano is a very affordable option, a good investment. I have used it for online classes, meetings, symposiums and even recording (for both my conference presentations and as a hobby). It is very simple to use, just plug in, and I have gotten several complements on how clear my voice sounded.
This review is awesome, helped me choose the yeti nano vs the snowball ice
The Yeti x really sounds like a condenser mic. That clarity is amazing.
It has the same capsules like original Yeti.
@@patrickfridrichovsky3909 it has 4 and yeti has 3 lol
lol it sounds terrible
Honestly, I've been using the built-in mic from the H4, H4N and H6 for almost everything lately and holly crap do they sound amazing! Also, what makes the usb ones sound bad is the processing they do on them lol A microphone ALWAYS sounds better with less processing. I've done complete live mixes with drum kits not EQed at all. It's a matter of chosing the right mic and placing it right, that's all. I hate that manufacturers give apps like that that are just pure trash, it makes the mic sound so much worse than what comes out of the transformer. Anyway, great video, loved it! Good luck with those migraines!
The lack of a mute button was the reason why I moved away from the Snowball iCE, sounds amazing though for such a basic mic!
Thank-you for captions. I’m in my late 70s and hearing isn’t all that great. So many of the channels I subscribe too no longer have captions. I have no idea who adds the captions so I not going to blame anyone but then you do include captions so thank-you.
Great vid Sara Dietschy rhymes with Peachy! The "X" on the hand in the band photo 😂
Great Review! and very relevant. Thanks Sara 😄
I’ve been using the original Blue snowball and (now discontinued) Blue Nessie mics for years now and they hold up so well. Been thinking about a Yeti Nano or X so this was super helpful!
what did you end up getting
@@enzoexcourn3002Neither. I use a Fifine K688 now!
Been really wanting to see this side by side for a long time. The Spark and the Baby Bottle are closer to what I’ll hopefully be able to afford soonKiller review, thanks!
Edit: holy Toledo, watching this in reverse (scrubbing back) REALLY emphasizes the difference. Omg that Mouse is so amazing.
the snowball is what i started with (not the ice) and it sounds good when its 2 or 3 inches away. starts fading quick, but blue makes some really nice sounding mics, nice showcase.
OMG I have been looking for mic reviews 😍😭
Wow the 'Blue' audio has a hidden smart feature, it changes the colour tone of your hair 💇. 😁 I truly enjoyed your video demonstration, best wishes 😘
How can we hear more of your music from back in the day? The outdo was sick, with that mini solo/interlude kicking in:)
Thanks for this! So helpful!
Just a little note for anyone looking to get the Blue Yeti (standard - so not Nano or yeti x ) it does not work with the Voice part of the blue sherpa software so you'll need to use other software!
I was in Radio for 25 years before I walked away and the mic was everything. So were our Cans, if you couldn't hear yourself well you were wasting Airtime and money. Nobody likes a whiny voice. My Headphones were Senns sounded great cost lots like our studio mics did and ended up costing me most of my hearing. I liked it loud and paid the price. But I sounded good with my Baritone voice. It was fun, my Dad told me when I started I'd never make enough for a living. Well we raised 3 kids on that living and they all listened to me in the afternoons said I sounded smooth. Mics are everything they'll crush you, no one likes bad audio. It will get you turned off in a heartbeat. Great Video sorry for the long comment.
Great video comparing their range of mics. And more importantly I got to know of your band and EP. Sorry to deviate from the main content of the video
Sounds good Sara!
Thanks for sharing Sara 💞 :D
As a owner of a Blue Mouse, its also been very lovely to use in Voice Over but one should likely have a treated space for it to be effective. Its a lovely Mic!
Transitions at :22 are CLEAN
The Sherpa/G Hub presets are way too aggressive. If you take the time to customize the filters to your voice and environment it will sound even better. I have the Yeti X and I love it!
HOPE YOU GET 10M SUBS! LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!!
love this video very nice u helped me thanks
Nice video sarah
Hello! Thanks for the great video. I'm saving this one for when I have to buy another microphone, for sure. :)
What desk stand are you using for your boom arm? I've got the Rode PSA-1, and I'm using its clamp, but I have to clamp it to a very thin metal desk riser and it's a bit precarious, and awkwardly positioned. I'd love a heavy base I could just drop it into and move around as needed.
Thanks, again!
Thank you for information
Just got a yeti nano and everyone I talk to on it definitely notices and upgrade was made on my voice chat quality
this video is so crispy
Thank you!!!!👍👍👍👍
I dont need one but this makes me want to buy a mic lol
It should be
You really should try the Heil PR30. I guarantee you'll love it.
When she said the “BASS” and had no bass lol too cute 😂
still a good practice though, have ANY mic roughly 6 inch away from your face. with a wind shield. and with a bit of fine tuning, you can get a great quality sound at any price.
The Blue Sherpa software also works with Neewer brand mics at least on Windows.
Have you tried turning on the "original sound" setting in zoom to improve the mic quality?
Finally, the real, original, proper 'byeeeeee'. Thanks.
NEVER depend on the physical mute button on a microphone, unless you're sure the it is the only microphone your computer has access to. I did that not realising that Zoom decided to use my laptop's internal mic instead of the Yeti for some reason on a day with a staff meeting. Had something similar happen to coworker of mine as well, although his was less embarrassing.
Thanks really
@Sara Dietschy is the non beta version of premiere released for m1 macs, and is the a7s3 footages running smoothly now?
Very interesting 👍❤️
I gave up on the Nano. When it's good, it's good. But there are many things that can be less than good if you're using it for more than voiceovers/podcasting/YT. It has many drawbacks if you use it for work/meetings. Also, using micro-USB sounds "handy", but it's an awful quality issue for a $100ish device. I always come back to my 10+-year-old BLUE Snowball (the white, textured one with 3 sound direction settings). I'm not sure you can still buy it. It's a grade above the Snowball ICE.
blue is the first company I've ever saw with mics that requires a half and half treatment, half your room need to be treated and the other half does not need to be, it sounds very nice in open environment as well. We have things like the at2020 that sounds disguising in a none treated environment, and blue is just killing it, just note for the blue yeti and most of blues stuff you need to lower the high end in your eq because the high end is very sharp sounding to others ears. .
pretty good video
Special source is showing up as special sauce on the screen. Never knew that you need some ripe tomatoes to sound very good.
Dad joke 101
Sarah’s videos = Excellence
Some of these microphones I have never seen before
I feel like with audio the price to proformance drops real quick after 400 to 800 dollars . Then it goes back up in the really high end like around 5,000 and up.
My son uses a Blue Yeti for gaming and Zooming. The USB connection is really convenient, but I'm Shure there are better microphones available for recording music.😉
Love the mouse! Wish I had the singing voice to justify it 😂😂😂
Good video
This is going to be a really interesting comparison considering the fact that these are all reasonably priced microphones
Blue snowball also a great budget option 👌
Sara u r just wow!
In Zoom, setting Original Sound mode can help combat Zoom's bad audio artifacts.
I have the BlueBerry it woulda been cool if you compared it as well as the, kiwi, cactus, dragonfly & bird
Does Blue Voice only work with Nano and Yeti X? I have a regular Blue Yeti and I don't see it as an option in Sherpa
Who designs the 3D animated photo frame on the shelf behind Sarah?
Amazing timing! I just got home from walking my dog xD
Of course. She knew that and waited for you.
Is the Nano or X worth getting if the Voice software doesn't work on a Mac?
I will say as somebody who has used Blue Yeti Nano it's not the best microphone and if you're using a condenser microphone in an untreated room you usually get a lot of background noise I would always. Recommend a dynamic microphone like the Shure sm7b. It will take away that room noise at least for my voice I think the Blue Snowball sound better than the Blue Yeti Nano
Fantastic overview but damn, Zoom kills the audio quality so much it barely matters which one you use :/
I like the Blue mics. I have a Snowball but I can only get it working with OSX. Windows show an error, and Blue / Logitech support couldn't help me either. It is such a waste.
15:00 what camera were you using to film this clip?
your content is such a thrill to watch. You cascade your contents with mixture of jubilation and segways...lol . I have a big question. Can you connect your blue yeti x to an ipad and at the same time use your airpod pro 2nd gen as your headphone? I am not a fan of the sound quality of the microphone from airpod pro 2nd gen. It still sounds like your regular joe cheap mic. Currently I am using the sony inzone h9 as my daily headphones when I do casual gaming on pc and Ipad. But even the sound quality of this expensive gaming headphones skimped out on the microphone as it is not great at all.
What about the regular Yeti and Yeti Pro?
its crazy how hard zoom kills the mic quality
I bought a Tascam as I didn't like the preamps on my H4n Pro... I still have a bit of a noisy room, even when I shut everything down. I can't tell if there's electronics emitting high frequency or if it's my tinnitus, though.
What is the arm that you use to mount your mic?
Summary: Expensive mics sound good! Also this is sponsored :D
What about other brands such as Fifine who offer a good value?
OK lets get in to it peachy.😆😆😁
The Thumbnail for this video reminds me of a Casually Explained TN.
Spark SL sounded deep, all the previous ones.. meh
but unfortunately the bitrate in Zoom seem to be very low :(
I think blue makes really good USB mics with great value but Shure or other brands seem to make better high end products
Someone please arrest her for being so photogenic
???? you had the last mic on a boom. why were ALL mics put on a boom?
Can I use the SL mic without the interface.
But nothing will be at the shure sm7b
I’ve used a ton of mics but it’s my favourite
