A living sample of the star he is! a good actor, nice father and husband, and besides..... a pilot! great sample for the current generation that to reach success there´s no need to do drugs.
As a pilots wife, I know how much my husband is flying, and he sure didn’t fly that much. Boots his actor carrier , made him more sexy and it fed his ego, for sure! I am sorry he lost his son and his wife, but how Scientology’s people tick, makes it all alright. Sadly.
This guy is a total STAR! I'd give anything to be able to have a jet like that...RETRO Qantas..beats having a G6 or GlobalExpress that anyone can have with some wealth..This Jet is part of History!! Cheers to all
OMG. What a talented and intelligent person. Beautiful dancing and flying a very, very big plane. I really admire him. Great actor as well. Some folks have it all. Love U John T.
While still in college, I flew from Wright-Pat to Eielson AFB, AK with the 4th KC-135A ever built (tail #53121) doing cold weather weather testing in 1957/58 before our Congress bought it. What a great airframe it was, and still is, that flight convinced me that my future was in the AF, rather than drawing graphs of aileron/rudder/flap movements! One of the greatest Boeing aircraft ever!
Some rich folks have private planes and others fly them around, usually a Global Express or the like. Travolta doesn't just own a 707 HE FLIES THE DAMN THING! And it's painted up in full Qantas livery! Every plane geek wishes they could do this, I know I sure do.
@@trevoranderson4404 Given with the added cost of Qantas refurbishing the plane for the journey (it was sidelined for over a year from a botched overhaul job which started from a 500k estimate to over 2m and ended in a court battle over the whole mess). Curious what he's going to replace it with since he's flight-rated up to 747s.
The uploader mentioned that there was a security issue with getting a tripod onto the tarmac, that's why the footage is so shakey. Its really neat anyway, love seeing John's other career & appreciate the upload. 😊
She may be a maintenance hog, out dated and being phased out but i still love the looks and sound of her. The 707s and DC8s were the first planes i ever rode in as a kid. Brings back good memories
As Travolta is waving to the crowd through the cockpit window, someone in the stand yells to him "Excuse me sir, but I think you've left your engines running...."
I remember when they rolled out the first 707. Hell I remember the DC-3,DC-4 The dehavalins and Vickers, Connie, DC-7 Britania, Comet and all the Ows and Ahsssssssssss In a 707 you feel the aircraft. The real aircraft not the simulation they build in today for fly by wire. Flying anything is simple as long as it all works the way it should. The 707 was a dream. The conclusion. Shit I'm an old fart.
I doubt it he wants to fly the plane and that is very hard to do on modern aircraft which are a lot of computer. The man is a dam good pilot and has saved a flight that very few could of saved. The 707 is the second commercial jet built like a battleship and every system can be over ridden by the crew. One of great loves is this fine lady.
Lindo o brinquedinho de johon Travolta... nossa chegou em grade estilo tem sim que desfrutar enquanto é vivo e tem condições, a vida é curta se pode então vai lá.
sadly this plane has been sitting in Brunswick, Georgia USA with major corrosion issues for the last few years. It is not looking good for the donation to the HARS museum as the FAA may not issue a ferry permit due to the corrosion issues...
quantas pays plane services and mantenance and john only has to be an spokesman for the airline and have his plane with the logos and stuff, nice deal.
I heard this straight from his mouth: Qantas offered him an A-380, but he turned it down for the B707, as it was too large and "impractical" (read: cost too much) to fly. The 707 was built far over-spec; that's why you still see so many in service today. They just have a 'slight' drinking problem. It's STILL a great a/c.
Travolta definitely has to be a pretty good pilot to be certified to fly a commercial passenger jet. A 707 ain't you're typical 2 seater Cessna that your average joe might learn to fly as a hobby. Good for him. Shame he's still in Scientology as everything I've heard about him is that he's a good, decent guy and obviously a talented actor/dancer and intelligent and skilled enough to be able to pilot commercial jetliners.
You should add the following to the tags of this video, it will then appear with the appropriate aspect ratio. "yt:stretch=16:9". Other than that, nice video!!
Awesome achievement, to be a pilot of your own commercial jet. Much respect
A living sample of the star he is! a good actor, nice father and husband, and besides..... a pilot! great sample for the current generation that to reach success there´s no need to do drugs.
John Travolta is a very experienced pilot and a good one. His talent goes beyond acting. A great guy too.
As a pilots wife, I know how much my husband is flying, and he sure didn’t fly that much.
Boots his actor carrier , made him more sexy and it fed his ego, for sure!
I am sorry he lost his son and his wife, but how Scientology’s people tick, makes it all alright. Sadly.
@George Vreeland Hill, absolutely. Did you notice his airliner is named after his children?? Check out under his window, Jett Clipper Ella. 😊✈
This guy is a total STAR! I'd give anything to be able to have a jet like that...RETRO Qantas..beats having a G6 or GlobalExpress that anyone can have with some wealth..This Jet is part of History!! Cheers to all
Just a classy person.
John Travolta, Actor & Commercial Airline Pilot Owning B707 Qantas & flying it around the world...Awesome.
What a great ambassador...And he is a cool guy too.
John Travolta landing and parking his full-size jet like a boss.
I'm impressed with JT! It's awesome that he found his passion and pursuit it. 🦅🦅🇺🇸
OMG. What a talented and intelligent person. Beautiful dancing and flying a very, very big plane. I really admire him. Great actor as well. Some folks have it all. Love U John T.
Awesome my favorite actor from holywood very very tall person handsome, humble the best actor
Beautiful footage. John named his airliner after his kids, under his window, Jett Clipper Ella..😊✈

I never knew John Travolta was a jet pilot. Very impressive!
The jet really is in excellent shape.
Some rich folks have private planes and others fly them around, usually a Global Express or the like. Travolta doesn't just own a 707 HE FLIES THE DAMN THING! And it's painted up in full Qantas livery! Every plane geek wishes they could do this, I know I sure do.
He doesn’t have that plane anymore he has kindly donated that plane to HANNS
Damn,....I envy you....John....
NONCE
I believe John has given back the plane to Qantas.

I hope john disinfected his hands after contact with the leprechaun???😂 Lol
THANK YOU for posting this. The 707 is magnificent! Kudos to JT for preserving and flying this beauty!
707 is a piece of boeing and quantas history. john is fortunate to have history in his backyard
Stunning old lady, Mr Travolta knows how to pick a nice aircraft.
Met him one time in FLL on a quick turn in the 707. Super nice guy.
The uploader mentioned that there was a security issue with getting a tripod onto the tarmac, that's why the footage is so shakey. Its really neat anyway, love seeing John's other career & appreciate the upload. 😊
I can't believe that I just read someone post that you don't need any skills to fly a plane, just money. Believe me, you need plenty of both.
Heavy on both skills....
He use to fly for Qantas
I think you read it, in the wrong way. You stopped at the first sentence. Attention Deficit Are We ?
have no doubt that john flew the plane he is a qualified boeing 707 pilot and a fully qualified boeing 747 pilot as well.
The 707 was the best looking plane!
Have you seen the Convair 800 & 900?
Yes ,John Travolta is the pilot
She may be a maintenance hog, out dated and being phased out but i still love the looks and sound of her. The 707s and DC8s were the first planes i ever rode in as a kid. Brings back good memories

🌻 MY SUNSHINE
Anyone else, "Where should we drive to today?". John Travolta, "Let's fly around the world and you can bring 300 friends if you would like."😃
He can fly me anywhere!!! Damn he's so handsome
Love this
I love you sweetheart forever till death
Beautiful plane, great bloke too, but shocking camera work !!
As Travolta is waving to the crowd through the cockpit window, someone in the stand yells to him "Excuse me sir, but I think you've left your engines running...."
JT, 9 out of ten. Photographer, a begrudged 1 out of ten!
The "lot of computer" in a modern aircraft are for simplify. Fly a vintage airplane like the 707 requires a lot of skill
Hello 8 years later
We're not jealous, just resentful.
Last I heard he had over 5000 hrs flying time. Also has extra pilots aboard but he is a good pilot
That has to be some of the finest camera work on RUclips.
U go John thumbs up 😎
VERY IMPRESSIVE MAN!!!
Soon to be delivered to HARS in Wollongong, cannot wait
Hahaha! So cool! To me this plane is very noisy. Anyway, I'm amazed that someone still able to keep this Boeing 707 airworthy.
VERY noisey. Just think.... a B-52 has 8 of them....
707 do be looking good
Wow this is great!
"He's flown around the world, from London to the bay".
Its Travolta go Travolta and the rest can go in vein CANT TOUCH HIM LOL
Of course, with enough money you can own a 707, but get de pilot's license is a hard work and a well working mind...
nothing comes easy. not even for a drug dealer

Epic mate!

John took Olivia on flights back in the day. I wonder if they had auto-pilot back in the early 80's...
Nice work.
Lo admiro capisimo las tiene todassss siiii
Lindo o brinquedinho de johon Travolta... nossa chegou em grade estilo tem sim que desfrutar enquanto é vivo e tem condições, a vida é curta se pode então vai lá.
Captain Travolta...👍😊
such a beautiful sound
You are the MAN!!!
sadly this plane has been sitting in Brunswick, Georgia USA with major corrosion issues for the last few years. It is not looking good for the donation to the HARS museum as the FAA may not issue a ferry permit due to the corrosion issues...
It's still there too. I saw it 3 days ago, sitting with the other 707s and 727s at Brunswick
Is the Nygard 727 still there?
My dad flew B707 and even better, he was paid for that!
Top class this guy.
So shiny and clean!
JOHN THE LIVE LEGEND
WONDERFUL ✨👍✈️
How cool is that!
Who says Famous people need pilots??? They can handle it. It makes them THAT much better.
that's how you arrive at the airport like a boss..!
John Travolta carring the Aussie flag so to speak!.....flying his QANTAS Boeing 707B aircraft to Sydney...90th Anniversary for QANTAS.
It was a great day!
Captn. John 😉. Last year visit johnny my austria main city ( vienna ). ❤ i hope he fly to me to graz ( styria main city, austria ).
True!!!!
But some rich blokes make fantastic use of it!!!
Strange, but I find it difficult to reconcile this footage while remembering him as Danny Zuko in Grease, LOL.
Ikr..😂😂 I go even further back with John to his Vinnie Barbarino days..😅😃😂
What is Travolta's connection to Qantas? Or was the livery never changed when he purchased the plane?
Well done John
like a boss
well well well johnyy babyyyyy
I bring you greetings
From L Ron Hubbard !
Pretty cool John
10/10 would listen to again xD
Bem lembrado Filipe! obrigado pela correção.
quantas pays plane services and mantenance and john only has to be an spokesman for the airline and have his plane with the logos and stuff, nice deal.
mr scott what do you fly????
GREASE!!!

***** Agreed.
***** Sorry, O.W., I meant to say "747" NOT A-380. An egregious error, to be sure. Don't know why it took me to see it.
Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden is also a fully certified pilot.
Quem está gravando está com tremedeira
Hey tripod or no tripod stabilized video cameras have been around a long time now,,,,they work!,,,and there even cheap.
What 8 year old is holding the camera ?

Pretty cool
sorry buddy wasnt allowed one this was shot airside at sydney airport couldnt get it passed security
He is a great actor and pilot, though i think he flys jumbos to.
How old is this plane?
N707JT is a Boeing 707-138B built in 1964 (the oldest and rarest 707 I believe), and has current FAA registration.
Liiiiiiiiiinnnnndo
Great historic event! Did he fly the plane? Where's the plane now?
Aviatorspot in johms backyard mate! he has a runway
OMG, so he has a runway built near his house, the land must be as big as a airport.
AND he parks it in front of his house in Florida next to his Gulfstream!
Why does it have the Qantas logo?
It was a QANTAS 707 delivered by Boeing in the old QANTAS livery.
He is a fully qualified QANTAS pilot.
John is going to donate he plane to the hars at wollongong nsw.. as it needed some repairs as it was sitting for awhile
not happening...too much corrosion.
@superskullmaster ??? I dont get it! My question was pretty simple! Do u understand english?

He always has a co-pilot on flights.
