@@SarahTheSassy71 The most common use is as a parking brake, they lock on. It keeps the walker stationary and stable when transitioning as in getting out of a car. The other very important use is when going down a ramp. Otherwise the walker would want to gain speed and roll away from the person leaning on it.

SOURCE FOR SCORE: I use the device due to advanced spinal disease. It has 4 wheels and actual name is "Rollator". They come with a seat that flips up to reveal either a removable wire basket beneath or a snap in vinyl pouch (open style or zippered). The standard color choices are black, red, blue. I shopped around online and found, pink, teal and more fun colors. I chose purple 🟣.

My Mom can pick up some good speed with her walker going even slightly downhill. She gets mad when I grab onto her to stop it. She enjoys it. She's 87, adorable and hilarious. No handbrakes for her. It's the fasted she can go on her own since she had to stop driving. I love my Mama!!!

I've never heard of this guy but HE'S GOOD. He's really good! Gonna look for more of his material. Love the NASCAR/Battery car bit. I grew up in the 70's too. I can definitely relate to muscle cars.
Ditto!! One brother has a little race car. One is a driver that hauls the cars on the circuit. My first car was a 64 t bird, then a 57 Chevy. Best date is a car show! 👍🏻

Your walker absolutely does need a brake. I use one and you need it for stability. I know this is comedy but you absolutely do need it.
it's a stabilizer - four smooth wheels and a seat with storage. Needs brakes so you can take a break and not keep rolling onto traffic or down de hill!

I know that the handbrakes on my walker are there to prevent me from doing a face-plant when I plop one of those 24-pack bottles of water down onto it. The brakes at least help to prevent the thing from flying down the aisle after I dump the water onto the seat. (Yes, I'm still strong enough to pick the water up.)
Amen me and more of us can help ourselves without depending on someone else 💯

I have a fancy walker with pillows, cup holders, seats and baskets. I still understand that Mr. Elstner is a comedian making a joke!

...I absolutely enjoyed this. I didn't laugh super hard, but I laughed often! Though he kept a smile on my face the whole time. This guy was energetic and fun,good aura. The sound affects were an absolute blast and the ending was great! (Little dudes and their sound affects is spot on!)

so i've been following this account for a long while now and this is what i've learnt (about US culture) from all this comedy (that i find at times funny and at times just bewildering)
there are all these unnecessary wars that are being fought all the time: generational, gender, sexual orientation, race, religious, and what not
looking at it all play out, completely removed from that context is really perplexing and puzzling, especially the generational and gender ones
