Can give you ten manufacturers in the USA making this size boat and this size and type hull that can do this as well...plus add the feature set of a tuna tower and yes V12 Mercs, 425 Yamahas, Suzukis, Hondas all as power options. En route will be which you probably already have there are outboard diesels. Not sure these massive 4 stroke gas power systems the way to go if the diesels are for real if the intent is to push hard like this for the offshore work. Viking a great new entrant into this crazy competitive market segment now yes, absolutely. Great review.😊😊😊
Amazing right! I'd like one of these in Malaysia. Fuel is 70 cents and I could rip up to Thailand for long weekends and run from pirates in the Malacca Straights like a boss.
Incredible boat !!! But your question is can you get a better hull? The correct question is can you get a better hull than the Michael Peters SVVT hull. Now this hull is undoubtedly one of the best riding hulls on the market, however it was designed almost 20 years ago. If you dont think in the last 20 years with the advancements in fluid dynamic software there isnt a better riding more advanced hull design, I think you should look at the "Next Step" hull on the new Phenom yachts.
I’d love to try the next step hull if I’m given an opportunity. The Valhalla to me is taking a tried and tested approach and just perfecting it into something that’s truely awesome. I’m fairly familiar with all the latest hull designs in the Adventure Boat category having driven all of them and that’s a true advancement in fluid dynamics. When it comes to heavier hulls designed for the US market I can see some are going for speed and others are going for offshore handling. Also some designs appear to have flying across short sharp chop in mind when others are focused on true offshore. So yeah… more hills to test and more builders to meet and I’ll just keep learning and sharing with you guys.
Depends on the mission. Rafnar is very capable in rough water. Very wet - but very capable. Valhalla is faster, dryer and extremely refined however if i needed to pull a fast turn to avoid an Iranian gun boat lobbing lead my way i'd want to be in the Rafnar.
I would LOVE that! My cousin Stu has access to lot's of those in Florida so would be sweet to go and learn about the whole Poker Run scene up there one day.
The Regulator is amazing in rough water so if that's your mission she's still appropriate for sure. But the Valhalla is more refined and clearly faster so if that's what you seek then Valhalla could be the boat. For me personally i'll take the extra speed yes.
That boat is for the guy who like sportfishers but with less headache. It gets much better than this in the center console world. Freeman, contender, yellowfin, invincible are better options for fishing. And faster than this one.
Currently the Valhalla is the best monohull of this style I have ever driven in the ocean - period. I have driven multiple Hydra Sports (2008 era) from 22 - 33ft
I agree on the non step but quad 350's vs 400's on the Valhalla 61vs 72mph..so maybe 5mph difference. Also planes at 19mph. 230-260k less with excellent quality. Is it a Valhalla...no... just another option for the guys that need to save some coin and can do with less flash and still want a excellent quality made boat@@Reload77725
39 Nor-Tech super fish (39' vs 41') hits over 70k with quad 450's, Valhalla is a fine boat, no doubt, but she's not the fastest, Fountain built a 38 that was over 100 mph, over 80 knots
I see a lot of the Nor-Tech on my cousin Stu's channel Florida Power Boat Club but i'm yet to experience any. Very keen to do a deep dive on my US boats in November.
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife lol me too. I honestly haven't been on a southport. Or a vahala.... I just see the reviews... If I ever have the amount of money required ... , I wanna know which boats are worthy of going out for a test drive on. I've seen a lot about how southports make an amazing product. They don't make them as fast as the vahala... but they are supposed to be excellent boats.
I think we're talking about the steering know that could crack your nuts if it was in the wrong position. I feel it's not an issue on this boat due to the amount of space you have at the helm to assume a good stance in rough water and just how bloody great the hull is when she lands off a big one.
I can also think of some cool and unique designs that would suit this hull too. But she's very much a seaworthy boat as she is too. Just need to drive it properly in the big stuff - like all boats.
Your excitement is palpable; boat looks dreamy.
I own a Metal Shark Fearless 32. With same Hull SVVT designed by Micheal Peters.
Great boat.

That boat looks epic fun in a big swell!!
Great video as always
It was a LOT of fun. Thanks for the feedback
Awesome boat. I need that and one of those nice homes behind you in that bay.
Sydney waterfronts are amazing!
Ok both vids done and that the boat I’m having with 450s when I win the lotto and move to Florida 🇬🇧 great vids Dan 👍

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I’m guessing if you can afford the boat you can afford the fuel but I’m liking your idea of fun mate it sounds ace

This is a beautiful boat ❤❤❤
I've got a sweet jet flyby video over Valhalla in Boca.
Awesome!
How do you compare this to the 41 regulator that you tested?
Come do a review on a Bahama 41. Reach out, i will set it up.
Rafnar or this? For hull design and open sea worthiness
Depends on the mission. Rafnar is very capable in rough water. Very wet - but very capable. Valhalla is faster, dryer and extremely refined however if i needed to pull a fast turn to avoid an Iranian gun boat lobbing lead my way i'd want to be in the Rafnar.
You need to test mti v, and cat hulls and you will experience true speed. Also dcb boats. 😉
I would LOVE that! My cousin Stu has access to lot's of those in Florida so would be sweet to go and learn about the whole Poker Run scene up there one day.
42 yellow fin is half the price and just as fast with quad 300!
is this a better boat all round compared to the Regulator 41 foot you tested last year?
The Regulator is amazing in rough water so if that's your mission she's still appropriate for sure. But the Valhalla is more refined and clearly faster so if that's what you seek then Valhalla could be the boat. For me personally i'll take the extra speed yes.
Freeman eats this boat, 24/7!
I'd love an opportunity to test that. I suspect you may have a valid point in some sea states.
Nice rig
Would be amazing if you could get your hands on a Freeman
I'd love to! Travelling to the US for the furst time this week so who know's maybe I can...

How do they compare to Hydra Sport hulls
Currently the Valhalla is the best monohull of this style I have ever driven in the ocean - period. I have driven multiple Hydra Sports (2008 era) from 22 - 33ft
A Bahama 41 also is another to look at
Ok cheers I’ll keep an eye out for them
The hull on the Bahama 41 is not stepped and hasn't been updated in more than 20 yrs. Hard pass.

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife great review BTW,, really enjoyed it
Prowler 42 has twice the space and far more stable… walk the boat and be your own judge. You’ll never miss that bounce or bow rise…
... idk .. i want you drive a southport and see wich one you like better
I'd be happy to
@BoatLife_DansBoatLife lol me too. I honestly haven't been on a southport. Or a vahala.... I just see the reviews... Not a fan of the suicide knob?
Newby here, why suicide knob? 👍

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife ah fair enough 👍🇬🇧
You want to text two awesome boats?? Please text the Scout 53 LXF and the Intrepid 477 evolution.
Yes please, none in Australia at this time to my knowledge so i'd need to do that in the US.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife you will love those boats
How bout the Valhalla 47
I would be very interested in testing but at this stage i've not had a chance so can't comment with any real knowledge yet.
Now just close the bow and you have an actually seaworthy boat :)
I can also think of some cool and unique designs that would suit this hull too. But she's very much a seaworthy boat as she is too. Just need to drive it properly in the big stuff - like all boats.
That would pretty much defeat all the advantages of this boats fishability.
Trim it in a bit 😢
imagine the 55 ...G ZUSS
I know right...
