Fun Fact about ReoNA: She started here on RUclips actually doing various vocal covers. She entered a competition and won, and her first gig was with Sword Art Online "Gun Gale Alternative" where she provided the music of the show's artist "Elza Kanzaki". She did an entire album for that role particularly and her music was featured throughout it's limited run. She went on to be featured on both OP and EDs for SAO for years now and was chosen for the SAO 10th Anniversary song "Till The End". Honestly, she's had a remarkable journey and career which why she's become so beloved. Someone that day during that competition saw an incredible talent and took a chance on basically a completely unknown artist from YT, now she's becoming a household name due to her association with SAO. She's among my favorite artists, period.
SAO introduced me to multiple amazing artists, this being one of them heh. Side note, it's always great when I'm jamming and a part of the song gives me that cheesy grin, then I look back at your video and your doing the same exact thing 🤣
I think that her first action is deeply bowing. So, just not only is she nervous, she may be grateful to be able to sing on this stage. l 'm looking foward to next your reaction!!
Make sure to check her Niji no Kanata ni, which is also on The Firts Take. While this one is rocky, catchy and more popular as opening to anime, the other one is totally heartbreaking and makes you feel crazy emotions.
🌱 About the recent reputation of The First Take in Japan... Since the number of places where performers can directly express their opinions, such as RUclips, has increased, viewers like me have more opportunities to listen directly. Not to mention music-related people, even people in non-music-related occupations, "The quality of the artists featured in The First Take is very good and they provide good songs." I feel that the site is highly evaluated by both professionals and the general public. Also, the reason I got to know ReoNa was the music video for The First Take. She shouts!. "♪ 魂の色は何ですか?(What is the color of the soul?)♪" It feels like my soul is being shaken. She has a feminine and attractive voice, and her femininity does not mean weakness. Her voice rushes into my emotions and she takes me into the world of her singing. 🌿 She is from Amami Oshima, one of the southern islands of Japan. How much does she feel the historical influence of Amami herself? I do not know. Until about 400 years ago, the islands around Okinawa, including Amami, were called the Ryukyu Kingdom, a country different from Japan. Even now, unique cultures, arts, dialects and customs remain. When I, who has no faith, talk about "God", it is very unconvincing. However, I have thought this way. "Isn't the people born and raised in the southern islands closer to the gods than the modern people born around Tokyo? I'm sure." I think they have the spirituality we have lost. Very mysterious! In that climate land, there is a unique music called "Shima Uta", and the person who sings it attracts the listener with a voice of complicated wavelength. I wondered if the climate environment gave her the ability to express that, even if she didn't knowingly learn it. 🌿 In contrast to the basic scale of Western music, "do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, do", the scale of Ryukyu folk songs does not have the sounds of "Re" and "La," and is composed of "do, mi, fa, sol, si, do". Despite the small number of sounds, it sounds complicated to the listener. I feel a complex polyrhythm similar to Overtone-singing such as Yodel in the Alps, Khöömii in Mongolia, and Canto a Tenor in Italy, etc. Some Ryukyu folk songs even feel sacred. 🌿 /// Digression, reference and modest request. /// From the same Amami birthplace as Ms. ReoNa, there is a singer named "Ms. Chitose Hajime", her senior. If you listen to her song, I thought you could know the characteristics of Ryukyu folk songs. It is a very hit song called "ワダツミの木-The Wadatsumi no Ki". The song was released in 2002 and a new music video was created to commemorate her 20th anniversary of her debut. "Wadatsumi" is the god of the sea. The unique singing and expression of the people of the South Island is very comfortable. 🌿 At the time of release, I listened to it day after day. "It's been 20 years already," I thought, and when I listened again, I thought, "No matter how many years, the good songs that I can listen to any number of times remain good." Mr. Gen Ueda, who produced her and made this song, died of lung cancer at the young age of 47 in 2008. He left the words "I will be Sirius and watching over you" to his wife and 6-year-old daughter. (I can no longer listen to the new song written by Mr. Ueda. That made me lonely.) With that in mind, I wanted you and your RUclips viewers to listen, and I made a request to you. I think you have a plan, so I can't say I want you to overdo it. If you have a free timing, please include it as a reaction candidate. Thank you. 🌱 Mr. Patrick's Maneki Neko (Beckoning cats) are now moving! 😆 "Welcome! Come on, come on!" The hand raised by the lucky cat makes sense. "The right hand invites money.🐾" & "The left hand invites people.🐾" I'm glad you chose your cats that raises the left hand. 😄😋😉
Can you make a reaction of a jpop band called zutomayo? they have really nice animations that come along with their original song and amazing vocal. If you do, react to "study me" first, remember to pick british english sub since it has special effects.
Hey man, Non-Japanese living in Tokyo here. I think we have the same taste in music and obviously similar attraction to this country culture. So what type of music video are you keen to react to? I am a music lover and a good friend of mine is working in the Japan music industry, so he recommended me lot of amazing artists that I can share with you to react to. Let me know in this comment is you are interest ! じゃね
Yo Yotanou! thank you so much for you comment! i love different typ but my favourite discoveries have been nulbarich, millenium parade, sakanation!, a-lot of more new disco kind of music but i also really love the soulfullness of Fujii kaze!
@@Patrickmordi Yo, ok I see, I dont have so much new disco in mind but based on your taste Im pretty confident you will be trill to discover the below. No particular order, and a mix of style but all Japanese with vibes I really believe you gonna dig (just copy/paste title). - " MONDO GROSSO / False Sympathy " (I recommended it to you in another video) - " Hanah Spring / Dreamin'(living in a dream) " - " NakamuraEmi「YAMABIKO」 Music Video " - " PUSHIM「DiDistance」MV " - " 大比良瑞希 | 見えない糸~Never Be The Lonely One~ (Official Music Video) " - " MONDO GROSSO / Plannet Tantra " (I add this one cause I know you like Mondo Grosso) Most of those tracks have been recommended to me initially by my friends who help produce various Japanese artists albums since 11y in Tokyo. They are all really good !
@@Yotanou 🌱 I started watching this channel because of the reaction when I watched Mr. Patrick's music video and the nice low and sexy voice. After watching it several times, I became a fan and subscribed to the channel. Besides him, there are many RUclipsR who have postd reaction videos. Some of them are overreactions, people who do not react at all, just watch, people who select only popular hit songs, people whose explanations and impressions are abnormally long. In succession, it can be painful to see. When I watched the video on this channel, I think it's wonderful that Mr. Patrick enjoys each MV and is interested in the artists who are appearing with a sincere attitude. Many viewers send requests one after another to have more fun. Mr. Patrick is also trying to answer those requests as much as possible. I'm sorry for him because I always make selfish requests. However, I want him to know more about the good points of Japan, and I write comments like his diary. For now, most of the music videos he chose suit my tastes, so I think I'll continue to have fun. Surely, it may be an important point that "(thinking / belief) does not shake!" Then, wouldn't the connection of people with the same taste gradually expand? If you challenge yourself in the future, I hope you will create a fun channel. As one of Mr.Patrick's fans, I will send you ale!

The starting part of her bowing is not nervous. Is a sign of respect, thankful grateful for the opportunity to sing.

Great reaction, finally someone with a calm low voice, really enjoyable and great work!
