I can see it staying steady till either more game modes are added or new features. I really love the game honestly, the destruction alone is why I enjoy it. They need to add customs/quads possibly in the future. Who knows in all honesty. I’m here for it either way.
They can really add so many different game modes since they decided to go the game show route. It’s all up to how creative the devs can get to make themselves different from other games
I'm sick of battle royals and COD, not many games doing things other than BRs. I really liked Finals, its gotten a learning curve for sure....it never was advertised as a hero shooter so people looking for personality then you're not going to find it there. But it has a fluid flow and guns feel nice!! Gaming community needs to know that not everything should have pleathora of guns, a content roadmap. I hope that it sticks!!!
Yeah Absolutely as long as they manage to keep a solid Playerbase that enjoy The Finals for what it is then that's really good. :) Just add more stuff to the current game like gadgets and abilities that make it more fun then yeahh 100% That it will have a decent size community :D
Great take. I think live service games have poisoned the well of expectations especially a new studio coming out swinging with a super slick game. I’m not saying I don’t want more content or that I won’t bounce l between games but devs shouldn’t be expected to make soooooo much content or crash and burn

Because its a good game and concept but it has flaws. That's why people talk about it, They want it to continue to thrive since they enjoy it but possibly with changes and tweaks. Imo could be one of the better games to exist.
You're looking at this the wrong way. It's not that they were at 270,000 and are now at 140,000. You have to look at what is the most popular games actually doing? And if you look the finals 6 out of 7 days in the last week have outperformed both war zone and apex legends. Only Dota and Counter-Strike. 2 are ahead of it. Stats are always interesting but you have to know how to read them in order for them to actually give valid information. Then you have to look at what the differing factors are. The number one factor on why the finals numbers are lower and that is simply due to the fact that the game does not run on low end systems for PC and doesn't run at all on PlayStation 4 or previous versions of Xbox. This will greatly hamstring their numbers compared to something like warzone 2 or 3 or CS2?
Today they almost didnt break 100k with only 105k peak players. And if you look at apex their peak on steam was 292k players. Not to mention that Apex avg a higher playercount throughout the entire day. As well as apex not being in the best state. One of the reasons is that 40% of the playerbase is playing the finals
Disagree with the varity point look at CSGO, Valorant, League, Apex. All these games are the exact same thing repeated over and over and yet are still some of the most popular games out there. The gameplay is repetitive with the same premise each time but there are few games that aren't, the only example that comes to mind is Fortnite (player created maps) and even that gets stale for alot of people
True but still with Val and Apex there is just so many different legends and characters to compensate for it being repeated all over every game. And Apex is not a game that really is comparable since we got the looting process.. The Ring closing in and all that. That creates a high gameplay point instead of what this is. The Finals is a more play a few times but nothing "most" people will get stuck on.

But that's mostly because Siege has all these characters that are diff from eachother so much which changes up plays and gameplay. And siege has had like 8 years for people to get stuck on the game and play it.
In Casual play that works really well. But in comp there needs to be a sorta base thing. I'm sure they'll manage to figure it out but when its in comp random gameplay may balance over skill. That just depends on the situation though. I agree its boring to watch same strats all over again but there's 100% other soulutions for that to have a mix of both random but still at a bearable level
Games don't need viewership or esports to survive, stop buying into what streamers and companies are selling you. There is plenty of games that have neither and are not dead.

It's far too early to be doom saying about player numbers. There is always a sharp drop-off after release. Everybody tried the game, the ones who liked it are staying, those who didn't are already gone. Not to mention lots of people are traveling for Christmas and new years at the moment, and aren't at their gaming setups. No surprises yet and nothing out of the ordinary. We'll know more in a few more months. Coming from Apex, that community gaslit itself into thinking Apex was dead 4 different times cause of player count stats, the truth is that player count is not a good predictor of a game's success. It will die for sure. Players are already bored. Especially if you don't have a premade team, literally, this game is a bad experience. I myself so obsessed with this game and stopped playing it, way sooner than I guess I would.
Great vid. As far as esports, I find it interesting that so many potential pros are or would be concerned about the random aspect of certain outcomes. The bias seems to want esports to be more like chess, then, rather than traditional sports that feel like they have genuine randomness because of how dynamic the game is. And yeah, sometimes it feels like a team in basketball or football deserves to win but they lose, but that's sports. In fact, fans of traditional sports probably prefer it that way, because when the ball bounces your way or some miraculous unlikely thing happens for your team, it feels so sweet. Just an observation. Couldn't be further from an esport pro myself, but the fact that I'm also not an esport fan (yet) might actually say something about how esports lack an aspect of randomness that the average potential fan might knowingly or unknowingly appreciate.
Yeah thats true. Although its fun to watch esports when its random and not the same thing. But for the pros is probably not so fun. I could see a pro rage when they get stuck under a building and literlly cannot move since the building is holding them down or for other random reasons. Isnt healthy for the players but is for viewers.

Matches of how things are played are very different. Mostly because of the big maps and the "storm" when i watched the final livestream for it, the best team was doing really bad loosing multiple games. And then all of a sudden they gained an insane winning streak which was fun to see. So i think that for a lot of games esport is still unique even though for a lot o reasons maybe not. Before we call the end of The Finals please do all the research. Like it’s been expected since we got like maybe 8 devs out of 100 devs currently working on The Finals etc so we of course will see backlash etc until they all back in early January.
Its Exactly this thing that happened with all those other games. People just Suppress and think that the game will survive perfectly fine as it is. But TRUST ME. It will be gone if nothing special is changed. The player count is down ANOTHER 30k daily peak, Since I took that screenshot 2 days ago.
Val has an insane roster of characters to choose from whilst in The Finals the majority of people pick the exact same thing. There's no difference in most fights you play in. Val has Unique and own made abilities but I cant think of one ability in The finals that is original
I think the destructibility is what makes the game unique plus the whole tournament design. Outside of that the game feels like a hero shooter (tf2, overwatch, etc). The game definitely needs more game modes. I don't think cashout and bank it are nearly enough. I'm glad they started balancing some stuff in the latest update but heavy class still feels too strong (don't get me started about the C4 + cannister combo). There also isn't enough social elements in the game - no all chat, people rarely talk in game, you can't add people you've just played with, etc. Game has definitely been a breath of fresh air but since its came out its starting to get stale.
Yeah :). Its really unbalanced which makes everyone run the same things. But if they figure balance updates out and add more unique abilities that have an impact on gameplay in a good way as well as adding more modes and like You said the social part of it. If they do that then I'll believe that its off to a good start
how so, because the game currently failed to maintain its initial player base within a month of release. If this trend prolong, we will see gradual decrease over time if devs wont do anything about it

I don't understand the concern for more game modes and maps at this stage in the games life cycle tbh. The game itself is unique enough and its inherent competitive nature is carrying it pretty well. Player count will drop. That's natural. The new content will come and they will come right back (just like every other multiplayer game lol). The drop in players isn't as huge as BF2042 shortly after release.
Yeah, they really need to get streamers on it so content gets pushed out everywhere. But imo its not really as unique as it could be. I mean I cant name one thing that another game dosent have or have done already. But yeah mixing everything togheter in one game like they have kinda makes it unique at the same time. Most games has had shit SBMM recently. But I can imagine it just getting worse if there isn't an higher Playercount. Which is were streamer promotion would help a lot for the Game. Both making the game known even more but also for SBMM since there would be more players :)

I would like to see a 6v6 Search and Destroy Mode. 2 Cashouts. One Team Defending. One Team Attacking. Limited Respawn. The Defending team cannot see the CashBox on screen. I want to play this game with my 6 man squad.
Its slowly declining. Most of my buddies who cant keep up stop. Make the matchmaking skill based. But can let you party one rank up and one rank down like valorant.

I watched this video because I thought it was going to be insightful, but what it was strictly opinionated and was a just f* a* just mouthing his lips.
Variety will happen quit hating. It’s very new, how many game modes were at release for Fortnite or apex, or any of the other shooters that have run the playing field for the last years? Split gate and hyperscape were all games that took small parts of other games and had nothing new. It takes time to develop modes and a fan base that is loyal enough to wait for it. The hype at launch was also competing with call of duty’s recent launch. It will take time to compete in a very crowded space. Be patient.
But the problem is that apex had a bunch of fully made characters, that just creates another feeling for the game, and apex brought in a different br feeling with that as well as adding new things. The finals has nothing new except for putting money in a cash out. Apex managed to gain such a popularity the first month which is a thing The finals is starting to lack on... Its bad. But yeah man like always, Time will tell :) Ty for the thought
We don’t need game modes we need new maps and weapons. But I think they will only release new maps as they’ve already released a ton of weapons and gadgets
But the problem is that Apex in its first week had over 25 million players and first months over 50 million in total.. The finals had 10 million. But in apex almost every single Big Content creator and Streamer played it. Still want the finals to stay like I said in the vid but yeah we will see :)
The reason every big content creator played Apex was because they were paid a lot by respawn to play. Embark being an indie developer cannot afford that. I honestly want Apex to grow because then those never touched grass sweats will stay there and not migrate over to this game and we casual players can have fun here

Why would I talk about a game that I play and have enjoyed quite alot? Then I could've just done a positive vid on it. But It has issues man. At First it was refreshing especially with destruction but now after about 100 hours you start to see issues like in general it being pretty stale. Everyone run the same abilities and thers no diff to the fights in the game. I see more and more people that enjoyed it lots and still enjoy it say that it was a pickup and play for abit typa game and not a "Im gonna play this forever"

And its a few abilities especially cloak that is the most random thing in the game. The fact that you can shoot the first second going out of the cloak but still being invis. Good video bro! I think these game developers need to be careful and the lack of modes at this stage is probably strategic. If they put too much effort and spend too much money on a game too soon, it can backfire. Look at Apex, started really basic and the game developed with time. I think the finals will always be around but it won't ever be the next big e-sports title...
That's a really good point man:) But the thing that differs this from others is being able to have a big Playerbase due the replayability is not that high after about 80 hours on the game. Most games today have characters which makes the game feel richer. The finals has 3 classes basically where you can choose your abilities in those 3 but it dosen't give the same feel as having special characters for each ability. And Thank you so much :D
The game is okay they offer too little, the battle pass needs an upgrade more cosmetics, and yes more variety in modes and maybe a little lore put into the game this will keep peeps around longer in my opinion.
I do feel that way too it's giving hyperscape feels for sure and little bit of rouge company as well the concept is good but it's very barebones and simple and there's just too many overly OP equipment and stuff. The majority of the time I've only seen is a bunch of light builds running around invisible with melee weapons with a hit box that is overly ridiculously to hit it needs some work it might make some kind big change but for now it's just a pick up today and play and may play it later in the week type of game
This is what I should've talked about aswell. Your 100% right that people play the same thing since its so powerful, almost all fights look the same for that reason. If it could get balanced and maybe more abilities being added in the future to make fights look different then that would be better.
Exactly the whole light med and heavy thing is probably their way of not being too apex or rainbow six siege with the characters, and with the weapons and abilities, only being used by certain class it's always going to be that one class as meta you'll see running around all the time. Truthfully it's gonna be hard for them in future seasons to truly find a balance. @@looseYT
If the devs continue the dynamic of not listening to the community's feedback, this game has little future, perhaps a couple more months with a healthy playerbase. The Matchmaking is garbage and it also matches Solos vs groups, so the gaming experience for solo players is miserable and boring, those people will get tired very soon and leave. The light class is completely broken, it has no counter and is capable of destroying a tank with one combo, it is very boring to constantly face the Stealth + Taser combo. The TTK of the weapons is totally absurd, the model 1887 has a higher TTK than the light class pistol, it is ridiculous. The meta that has been established is more boring than the GOAT meta of Overwatch, everyone camping with sensors and turrets, what a disgusting meta If the devs don't hurry up and fix all this shit, this game lasts another month and dies

The guns feel like ass, the visual recoil makes hitting shots hard asf then mix in a cloaked enemy and you might aswell leave the match.

@@TheIntelligentVehicle my plan is to mayve compete in apex legends global series in the future. And even though apex isnt att game thats very random and is alot more very planned. Matches of how things are played are very different. Mostly because of the big maps and the "storm" when i watched the final livestream for it, the best team was doing really bad loosing multiple games. And then all of a sudden they gained an insane winning streak which was fun to see. So i think that for a lot of games esport is still unique even though for a lot o reasons maybe not. But yeah I understand what you are saying :)
Before we call the end of The Finals please do all the research. Like it’s been expected since we got like maybe 8 devs out of 100 devs currently working on The Finals etc so we of course will see backlash etc until they all back in early January.

Val has an insane roster of characters to choose from whilst in The Finals the majority of people pick the exact same thing. There's no difference in most fights you play in. Val has Unique and own made abilities but I cant think of one ability in The finals that is original
I think the destructibility is what makes the game unique plus the whole tournament design. Outside of that the game feels like a hero shooter (tf2, overwatch, etc). The game definitely needs more game modes. I don't think cashout and bank it are nearly enough. I'm glad they started balancing some stuff in the latest update but heavy class still feels too strong (don't get me started about the C4 + cannister combo). There also isn't enough social elements in the game - no all chat, people rarely talk in game, you can't add people you've just played with, etc. Game has definitely been a breath of fresh air but since its came out its starting to get stale.
Yeah :). Its really unbalanced which makes everyone run the same things. But if they figure balance updates out and add more unique abilities that have an impact on gameplay in a good way as well as adding more modes and like You said the social part of it. If they do that then I'll believe that its off to a good start

I don't understand the concern for more game modes and maps at this stage in the games life cycle tbh.
The game itself is unique enough and its inherent competitive nature is carrying it pretty well. Player count will drop. That's natural. The new content will come and they will come right back (just like every other multiplayer game lol). The drop in players isn't as huge as BF2042 shortly after release.

Yeah, they really need to get streamers on it so content gets pushed out everywhere. But imo its not really as unique as it could be. I mean I cant name one thing that another game dosent have or have done already. But yeah mixing everything togheter in one game like they have kinda makes it unique at the same time. Personally, SBMM is ruining it for me. Ever since the update matches have been sweatier and a lot less casual in 'casual' modes. Very frustrating.
Most games has had shit SBMM recently. But I can imagine it just getting worse if there isn't an higher Playercount. Which is were streamer promotion would help a lot for the Game. Both making the game known even more but also for SBMM since there would be more players :)

I would like to see a 6v6 Search and Destroy Mode. 2 Cashouts. One Team Defending. One Team Attacking. Limited Respawn. The Defending team cannot see the CashBox on screen. I want to play this game with my 6 man squad.

Variety will happen quit hating. It’s very new, how many game modes were at release for Fortnite or apex, or any of the other shooters that have run the playing field for the last years? Split gate and hyperscape were all games that took small parts of other games and had nothing new. It takes time to develop modes and a fan base that is loyal enough to wait for it. The hype at launch was also competing with call of duty’s recent launch. It will take time to compete in a very crowded space. Be patient.
But the problem is that apex had a bunch of fully made characters, that just creates another feeling for the game, and apex brought in a different br feeling with that as well as adding new things. The finals has nothing new except for putting money in a cash out. Apex managed to gain such a popularity the first month which is a thing The finals is starting to lack on... Its bad. But yeah man like always, Time will tell :) Ty for the thought

But the problem is that Apex in its first week had over 25 million players and first months over 50 million in total.. The finals had 10 million. But in apex almost every single Big Content creator and Streamer played it. Still want the finals to stay like I said in the vid but yeah we will see :)
The reason every big content creator played Apex was because they were paid a lot by respawn to play. Embark being an indie developer cannot afford that. I honestly want Apex to grow because then those never touched grass sweats will stay there and not migrate over to this game and we casual players can have fun here

The two game modes we have right now are enough. The game won’t be dying anytime soon. The game hasn’t been out for a single month yet and people like you are just looking for negative things to say about it. It doesn’t need to have viewer numbers either.
Why would I talk about a game that I play and have enjoyed quite alot? Then I could've just done a positive vid on it. But It has issues man. At First it was refreshing especially with destruction but now after about 100 hours you start to see issues like in general it being pretty stale. Everyone run the same abilities and thers no diff to the fights in the game. I see more and more people that enjoyed it lots and still enjoy it say that it was a pickup and play for abit typa game and not a "Im gonna play this forever"
And without high view numbers for a new game that has been hyped up alot is crucial... How else will the game grow if no ones watching it.

@@luckyKon Yeah true, but sometimes you can just get completely stuck under a huge collapsed building and just wont be able to move which has happend to me quite alot. And its a few abilities especially cloak that is the most random thing in the game. The fact that you can shoot the first second going out of the cloak but still being invis. There needs to be balance changes so all classes and etc is played equally

Good video bro! I think these game developers need to be careful and the lack of modes at this stage is probably strategic. If they put too much effort and spend too much money on a game too soon, it can backfire. Look at Apex, started really basic and the game developed with time. I think the finals will always be around but it won't ever be the next big e-sports title...
That's a really good point man:) But the thing that differs this from others is being able to have a big Playerbase due the replayability is not that high after about 80 hours on the game. Most games today have characters which makes the game feel richer. The finals has 3 classes basically where you can choose your abilities in those 3 but it dosen't give the same feel as having special characters for each ability. And Thank you so much :D
The game is okay they offer too little, the battle pass needs an upgrade more cosmetics, and yes more variety in modes and maybe a little lore put into the game this will keep peeps around longer in my opinion.

I do feel that way too it's giving hyperscape feels for sure and little bit of rouge company as well the concept is good but it's very barebones and simple and there's just too many overly OP equipment and stuff. The majority of the time I've only seen is a bunch of light builds running around invisible with melee weapons with a hit box that is overly ridiculously to hit it needs some work it might make some kind big change but for now it's just a pick up today and play and may play it later in the week type of game
This is what I should've talked about aswell. Your 100% right that people play the same thing since its so powerful, almost all fights look the same for that reason. If it could get balanced and maybe more abilities being added in the future to make fights look different then that would be better.
Exactly the whole light med and heavy thing is probably their way of not being too apex or rainbow six siege with the characters, and with the weapons and abilities, only being used by certain class it's always going to be that one class as meta you'll see running around all the time. Truthfully it's gonna be hard for them in future seasons to truly find a balance. @@looseYT

If the devs continue the dynamic of not listening to the community's feedback, this game has little future, perhaps a couple more months with a healthy playerbase.
The Matchmaking is garbage and it also matches Solos vs groups, so the gaming experience for solo players is miserable and boring, those people will get tired very soon and leave.
The light class is completely broken, it has no counter and is capable of destroying a tank with one combo, it is very boring to constantly face the Stealth + Taser combo.
The TTK of the weapons is totally absurd, the model 1887 has a higher TTK than the light class pistol, it is ridiculous.
The meta that has been established is more boring than the GOAT meta of Overwatch, everyone camping with sensors and turrets, what a disgusting meta
If the devs don't hurry up and fix all this shit, this game lasts another month and dies

Wasnt the only thing i was talking about. And i mean if the playercount just keep declining then yeah. Something with gameplay if it includes abilities or utilities needs to be added. A bigger roster of those would make the fights different from each other. But yeah we will see how it goes
