I have to agree with your review. I have been a huge fan of this band for years and although Dan is my favorite vocalist, Altered State was my favorite album with both its heaviness, the ambient bits, and Ashe's very layered and "produced" vocals. With that said, I adore this album for the same reasons... the monstrous riffs and grooves, the beautiful ambient parts, and Dan's incredible layered vocals and insane range and emotional performance! This is by far their best (IMHO) and I'll be listening to it until it's coming out of my pores! 😏
I wanted to give this a few spins before replying. Very good album, my first listen I thought it was good but after each subsequent listen it has grown on me, this happened a bit with Fauna from Haken last year. I am disappointed I passed a chance to see them last month as I am sure it would have been great.
@@RhymeSignatures maybe got my dates or bands mixed up, there are here in 6 weeks.....going. this is my concert lineup the next month or two, In Flames, TesseracT, Persefone, Ne Obliviscarus, and Brit Floyd. I may be missing one as well ( :
I thoroughly enjoyed this album! Not surprising cause I like everything Tesseract has done. I'm happy to hear another person praising 2013's Altered State with Ashe O'Hara on vocals too. That's my favourite Tesseract album even though I love Daniel Tompkins on vocals as well.
Have this on order and can't wait to hear it - I adore Polaris, was pretty neutral on Sonder, and really liked the re-working of those two albums on Portal.
Incredible achievement of a record.

Hell yeah!! I've been constantly coming back to this one, and I can't get enough of Dan!

They're a fantastic live band! I've not yet seen them with Dan though, as Ashe was on vocals duty last time I saw them

Ashe was an absolute angel on the microphone, such a dream-like beautiful sound

I think you'll love this one! It's taken all the best bits of all the previous albums, and mixed it all together
