I respect the attempt being made to educate the community in correct pronunciation, although I feel like you'll have a greater chance of getting players at my locals to practice better hygiene than to learn proper Chinese. lol But the effort is appreciated nonetheless. To truly respect the culture around the names requires going "outside" of the game and putting a bit of time into learning & understanding the general basics of Chinese... which I imagine most non-Chinese speakers/players probably won't put much effort into. Long ago, I set aside time to learn Mandarin & Cantonese during my free time just to understand both better for my own knowledge, but it definitely comes in handy for things like Grand Archive. I hope people watch your guide and learn something from it, but more importantly, I hope it influences players to learn more Chinese in general.
Appreciate this video thanks ❤ it’s helpful especially considering I still have trouble with correct pronunciation for Chinese. I’m much better at understanding especially mandarin then speaking 😓 I have been studying for over 5 years but theirs still a lot I’m confused about
@@SolarGamesllc ‘Emersion would definitely help a lot your correct . Unfortunately I lack that option, however my friends have help a lot. After I expressed a desire to learn, they refused to speak much else aside from mandarin with me😓 so I actually did not have a choice …. It’s been an interesting 5 years that’s for sure. Different topic I just picked up the Diana start deck as I liked her character. However I’m not really liking the style of play, any suggestions for a deck to get more into grand archive?
I play both Malifaux and Flesh & Blood, and I cringe every time someone pronounces qi as 'key'. I totally appreciate your efforts to spread how to correctly pronounce these words in Grand Archive.
In retrospect, I should have done a little better with letters and spelling on the screen. A more visual guide would be better. I will do better for the next set. More Chinese characters coming.
It's not Chinese because it's not China, it is a fantasy world, and the letters are not Chinese. Don't tell me how to pronounce English letters when it is the Chinese who use them incorrectly.
I love that everyone started at DW3 like I did
Dude, legitimately was going to ask for your help in SC (still might) 😂
Insanely helpful 🙏🏻
it should be fun!

My first introduction to 3 Kingdoms lore was Dynasty Warriors 3 and they called him Cow Cow and it's ingrained in my mind
Agree to disagree. Dynasty Warriors 3 taught me that it's pronouned COW COW. lol I can never unlearn that.
There are some great ones from DW3
Warriors Orochi 4 pronounces it more like Sau Sau...
Your Honor,
"Cao Cao is Cow Cow"
by R34
I rest my case.
Objection! Your Honor, he just called my client a cow.
@@SolarGamesllc Hahahaha 😂
你的ABC 中文很好啊
谢了
@@SolarGamesllc I typo’d my comment …meant to say ABC…American born Chinese.
@@BensonMTG 其实我不是ABC... 哈哈
@@SolarGamesllc 对不起 on my assumption! I’m holding out hoping the unnamed UB is P3k or Journey to the West. P3K deserves a reprint
cow cow heh.
