Sell Tesla Stock Sell sell sell!!
I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.
In my opinion, it was much easier investing back in the 60s but it’s a lot trickier now, those making consistent profit in these times are professionals reason I’ve been using an advisor for the past 5 years to consistently build my portfolio in preparations for retirement.
My partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you?
Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

True, A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far

Jeremy I would disagree with you on FSD. I had to stop using FSD for highway 17 CA, several times my car came close to hitting the concrete barrier.

36:13 I was in San Franciso several weeks ago and rode in a Waymo autonomous taxi. It was awesome experience. I walked about 40 miles around town and never had any issue with a Waymo and saw tons of them everyday.

my biggest concern is whether FSD/robotaxis actually become a reality. if its valuation hinges on that I think we'll see volatility.

Their is still not a single Tesla on the road that will ever get Government approved to be used as a robotaxi or approved levels 4 or 5 FSD because they still don't have lidar and radar.
Try driving a Tesla in very dark conditions in a snow or freezing rain storm with the cameras lenses covered over with snow and ice and see how safe it drives.
That's why you also have to have radar and lidar for driving in the dark in a storm.

Tesla is a meme stock, its also a regular stock. When its priced at 50-75, it will be a regualar stock with a high valuation. At its current price, and basically all its previous movements have been meme based. Memes and hype (musk) have been the key driver // catalyst for the past price explosions.

If there is one scenario I can see Elon reluctantly stepping down it would be where demand continues to drop because of Elon's political controversies. I totally agree with what he's saying about self-driving being decades away. The nuance of driving in the real world is way over the head of self-driving. Insurance liability alone. Jeremy, you dismiss and wave his comments off, but I'm afraid your optimism is wrong.
People don't understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments don't match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Been a Tesla investor since 2017. Sold many shares end of 2023. Purchased our firstTesla last week. Compared with a lot of other cars (both EV and Petro) the buying experience and value proposition is amazing. Autopilot is amaz balls. Cybertruck holds a lot of promise. I’m back in. Bought shares this week. Let’s go!
