The problem is, is that provincial parks in most areas that offer cross country skiing don’t allow dogs. There has been some parks such as arrowhead that have started including dedicated tracks, but the problem is is that there’s not a lot of places to actually enjoy the sport
In the early 1980's my energetic dalmatian went cross country skiing dragging her leash from collar( the signs said leashed, not holding) and one day I was so tired didn't know I could make it to the other side of park where car was parked. I called Libby and took the leash telling her to go to the car and she took off at a good pace, slowing for curves. Fellow skiers said I was cheating. Years later discovered I have Myasthenia Gravis and those memories of supported skiing are much more precious.
I used to do this about 15 years ago, great fun!

My husband died too soon 😢; he would so have loved to do this with our dogs. ❤❤❤
Skiers & boarders have been doing this for years behind trucks, cars, & snowmobiles.
I do this year round on a bike with my dog .he can’t get enough
WHERE CAN I TRY THIS
Im gonna try this with me sleddogs!
Unfortunately, unleashed dogs on the trails put an end to skijoring for us many years ago.
Good stuff.😎
Bike joring is also available for those interested. Beware though, dogs in heavily trafficked areas can lose focus easily. Brakes.
Humm snowblade might be perfect for this
This with a snowboard!!! 😩😩😩
Huh, low carbon and healthy... God help you if your dog have a mind of her own!
