An Indian Challenger owner test rides the 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide at Bike Week 2024!

- One of my favorite parts about being a Florida who gets to go to all the Bike Week events every year is using the demo ride set ups at the Daytona Speedway to test out all the newest bikes! Both Harley and Indian set up a course around the roads surrounding the speedway to let riders take an unchaperoned spin on their flagship models. With the newly redesigned Road Glide and Street Glides premiering this year, I couldn't resist checking it out. I do this every year, and it was the first year that I've had to wait in line to try a model, people definitely are excited about these new models! It's no secret that I'm a fan of Indians, but in my opinion this new Road Glides are a great example of the benefit to consumers of Harley having some competition, and I think these bikes are a great step in the right direction. I was totally ready to think about switching teams if I really liked these bikes! I also got to check out a brand new Indian Sport Chief and a HD Lowrider S with Stage II! You are spot on regarding the foot position. Always a cramped feeling on the harleys. Indians, the challenger especially, give me a comfortable position

I get it, you're trying to provide an "unbiased" demo ride but the biased Indian rider tone and wording are unmistakably there. 😉No worries! Glad you got a demo ride and enjoying the ride! Ride safe!!!
NOTE: I guess a die-hard Harley rider would probably be biased towards a Polaris demo ride lol
The 24 is definitely an improvement over my 22 RG Special in some ways. I really like the LCD display. But despite their improvements. H-D went more generic with the 24's. You buy a RG and add upgrades to it directly as purchase options. There is no longer a Special or a ST model of the base RG. And that still leaves room for 3rd party/aftermarket upgrades. I'm probably going move to a Pursuit later this year.
Dude you get the special the st and the standard all in one!!'the only things you're missing from the special is the upgraded speakers and gloss interfairing! You're getting a much more sleek version of last year's st.
@@dc117748 Right it's a generic bike instead of a RG, RG Special and RG ST. They do offer a Special and ST package for another 2k+ that gives you an new intake and tuner. But it's still the same generic base platform. If your cool with that. Have fun. :) For me personally, I'm not going to be happy with it.

Well, I seen a Indian owner who was invited to test the new road glide in Las Vegas and he had no intentions of buying one but at the end of the test right he did buy one so you know what his answer was
I would say the new road glide beats out the challenger dark horse and I did own both !
By what metric?
Only esthetic, the challenger still out performs it

@@Dazed207Comparing a liquid cooled super smooth engine to an air cooled archaic engine isn’t fair. If and when HD ever gets out of the dark ages, then maybe. Until then the Challenger is light years ahead of HD in every category. And I too have owned both.
Its not an Indian it's a harley. You don't buy a touring motorcycle to race.
What are you talking about? I'm comparing it to a touring Indian?
