To put it very simply and bluntly, it's because he's a pedophile 😭😭 It's been stated quite a few times that he is attracted to girls younger than twelve, even his ability, Vita Sexualis, is a manifestation of that. Sooo yeah... There's that. He's a still a really well written character though and this is exactly why he's actually one of my favorites from the show. Just because he's a pedo doesn't negate the fact that he's an EXTREMELY well written and interesting character.

His ability is Vita Sexualis. Allows to meaterialise Elise in any form he desires, including dangerous things. he can make her levitate, chase after an enemy at high speed, and make her save him no matter what and many other things. It's like having an all time multi - talented bodyguard
His ability in real definitions is currently unknown. All that is known is that he has the power to summon Elise, a little girl, and change her form to suit any situation.
