I once backpacked Europe, and all I can see for miles were either fields, pastures, or vast monoculture pine plantations with trees that are planted in straight rows for miles and miles, which is boring to look at and contains little if any animals. Basically, Europe is dead when it comes to wildlife and nature.

+Arel Alkım This definitely makes more sense as a sport than soccer because here they are deciding who is the best at something productive and relevant. You can argue about how relevant wood chopping is when we have machines but this is at least a competition in historical necessity where as most sports are made up necessity's.
***** Define sportmanship. Chopping wood also requires strength and knowledge especially when you do it in a competitive environment. Just because this sport has not gotten as much funding or recognition as major sports over the years doesn't mean that it is worse or less of a sport.
