That's because AI gets an attribute boost to everything, including shooting, on HOF.
It's really hard to make game AI good, especially in games like these where the player character also gets better while the CPU characters stay the same 'level'.
LOL 2k just does what it needs to do to stay in the game. In my series rondo does the same exact thing, it`s like they know you`re going to sag off hard so they won`t ever let him miss. It`s ridiculous but oh well.

Even though Rondo is not a good 3 point shooter, he's had several games this year where he's knocked down multiple threes in a game, including 4 threes against the spurs earlier this year.

Rondo does actually shoot more 3's now. Watching his games, he's found more confidence in shooting the 3 since he got off the injury. This might be accurate.

Today I went for Wilt's record and beat it with 117 points, I got a quadruple-double (if that exists) that game vs Bucks. Though it' always (for some reason) the good teams that you always beat record in 2K
TrayDawg93 A quadruple double was done by very few players (I think 4) in the History of the NBA. I know for sure Hakeem The Dream Olajuwon and David Robinson did it.

How do you not get bored of this
It's just got so tedious. He used to do the GTA stuff before the games to add a little background but I no longer get the appeal of watching someone play game after game, winning pretty much every single one, scoring on every shot and saying the same things every video.
How do you not get bored of your favorite games? Clearly Smoove likes NBA just as much as you like whatever you like so he keeps playing it

It's just not competitive. I'm not saying he's a bad commentator, but where is the fun in watching a player sweep their way through the regular season and playoffs? Has there ever been a Smoove 2K season in which he has not won the championship? Maybe an online association with other commentators and stuff would be more competitive. Incredibly hard to organise I know, but much more entertaining.

its all mental with Rondo. For years now when he shoots confidently with no hesitation hes fine. Those free throws tho lol
absolutely I think a lot of it is mental, and that now that he has to be the clutch go too guy, put the team on his back, he will be better even more so as time progresses. Still doesn't excuse the game unless it has some weird mental code written in for him, with that 60 something rating for 3's. Which Rondo almost always goes for deep twos now, and before it was the inside shots or layups.

Smoove, Rondo probably has a high potential rating in 2K. Potential affects how the progression and development of a player is. For example: Ricky Rubio has like 70 something three point rating in one season. The next season, he might have an 80 three point rating. That probably happened to Rondo.

What I expect in the next NBA 2K: 2K Cheese has to be fixed in the next game. Improve MyCAREER and MyGM, make better cutscenes, and story (like more rivals, able to make Adidas deal with your original agent). Make your own head (like picking nose, eyes, lips, jaws, color of the skin, etc) when creating your guy. Add cutscenes to the MyGM. Fix the trading error (like if you are 99 overall with 5m fans, and Lakers want you. And you ask for a trade. I don't want to end up with the pelicans), and also I would want to become a free agent at one point of the game (but you can't for some reasons, you always have new contract given) and maybe you can choose what agent you start with from Day One. Maybe make better scenarios in the myCAREER, and much more can be improved in this game.
Rondo's always been a better shooter than he's given credit for, albeit he may not be a knockdown shooter, but he's at least average if not better. Not to mention he's been even better since returning from the injury.

Actually Rondo isn't that bad at shooting 3's anymore. He worked on it a lot during the time he was injured. Althou I can admit that it's weird when he got a 61 rating in this game (but he really deserves to be atleast 75 at 3pt shooting)

Anyone who says Rondo can't shoot is a year or 2 late. Every year i watch at least 60-65 celtics games out of 82 and Rondo may have not been confident last year and the year before but he could shoot. Now this year he is confident and he's making it rain from the 3 point line.

A lot of coaches want their players to go over because he consistently makes 3's now. He isn't ray allen from 3 but he is shooting 39% from three and has had 3-4 games this year where he was 4-6 from 3 point land. He worked on it while rehabing his ACL

Ay Chris, this NBA 2k14 game play is really good and all but, that'll do. it would be nice if you could let some of that cod game play fly... or any other game...

He hasn't really done CoD since Blops 2 first came out and said the games were boring back then too.
Edward Irra Yea, thats why i also said or any other game, i know he has been doing other games such as assassins creed and other small series games but i would enjoy a game other than nba that he can get really into and have a longer series for (LIKE FIFA!!)
Remember how RUclips operates now; he has stated on his Facebook that he can't really play much other games out of fear of being hit with a copyright strike which could take down his channel.
But his bigger problem is that his 2k videos give him the most views, and LPs of other games don't really (this is the reality of it) give him enough money to justify the amount of work being put into the video.

Rondo has had games where he hits threes. Even in the playoffs against Miami. I remember watching him have a 40 pt game hitting threes etc.
